I visited a friend in NHC Healthcare - Lexington rehab. The staff was great. The nurses came in, and they greeted me. I was there whenever she was eating supper and they always helped her. She had a stroke and they helped her take her food apart, and open up things like sugar, salt, and pepper. They did everything for her. The place is excellent. My friend said the food was really good too. The landscaping is also phenomenal. She said they had activities. When I was walking to and from her room, there was a nurse there with an elderly lady. She said they do a lot of activities and keep their residents very busy.

My mom was at NHC HealthCare, Lexington. It was a sorry experience. I wasn't satisfied with any of it. First of all, I got the impression that my mom was just going for a couple of days, so we got down there, and I talked to the social worker and everything, and they said, "No, she'd have to stay a month." I didn't bring her too many clothes because I wasn't expecting her to be there. Then they first met me for not bringing enough clothes, and she was cold, so I brought clothes, and part of them got stolen or missing or whatever the next day. It was just sorry. The social workers and the nurses got to the point where they ran every time they saw me coming. I didn't really talk to anyone except the social worker that kept running away from me. The room was a double room. There were two people in one room. I didn't think the living atmosphere was too good because when I went to go and visit my mom she would be sitting in the wheelchair wandering around like she was lost. I don't think they really had anything for them to do except for PT. I think they were too overworked and understaffed.

My mother n law was there and it was horrible. She's diabetic and they did not do her insulin right all the time. Many family members witnessed them not checking her sugar before giving her food. We could hardly ever get anyone on the phone and the dir Ashley didn't return calls or emails. One nurse she liked took a picture with mom n laws phone of her food and said show your family what they serve you. It was a sandwich with MOLD!! They hardly would give her a shower and roaches were on her bed and in bathroom! And her poor roommate is a while story on its on. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and they wouldn't put the poor woman in bed. I even went to nurses station a few times to let them know all they said was we'll get to her. Place is HORRIBLE!

NHC Lexington is an excellent facility. My husband has been a patient for over 3 weeks and EVERYONE is caring, responsible, dedicated and committed to making the patient comfortable with all the necessary equipment to assist them. I tell all my senior citizen friend not to be concerned about needing professional care. They just need to pick up the phone and call NHC Lexington. I am very impressed with the cleanliness, excellent food, and capable and caring staff. They have plenty of activities and lovely grounds that are well maintained.

My mother is in NHC Healthcare - Lexington. It's been a very wonderful experience and she loves it. The staff is very attentive to her needs. They are very compliant with everything so far and the food there is very good as well. They just take very good care of her. I go every other day and I keep up with everything and they just do an excellent job. My mother loves the food. The facility is very good. I've been very pleased. They have a beauty shop and the lady there who does all their hair is an angel. Totally, God put her in that position. She is wonderful with the residents there, and is very cooperative with me and my mother. She's very understanding when Mama just does not feel like going to get her hair done. She'll just go on to the next room and not worry about it. She's very, very good. They have an activities director. I was in there with them playing bingo today. They polish their nails for free every week.

The care that NHC HealthCare - Lexington provides to my mom is very good. The physical therapists are awesome. They're very nice and the food is good. Mama has enjoyed it and everybody that I've met has been very nice. I think very highly of them. They have a common area with a small library and it's very nicely furnished. She likes to go down there and watch TV. The facility itself is very clean and nicely done, too. There are no bad smells at all in that place. She has a semi-private room. It's clean and she has a closet, one chest of drawers, and two drawers that she can put her stuff in.

My mother was here for rehabilitation. She was admitted on a Friday after a 12 day hospital stay. She was unable to walk or feed herself. We were told they would assist her when eating. The staff, with the exception of one nurse and one CNA were rude and treated my Mom cruelly. They did not assist her with her meal nor did they bathe her until late Sunday evening. She needed assistance to the bathroom and they would make her wait. When they did get her in the restroom, they woul leave her there unassisted for several minutes. We tried to get her released on Monday, but were told they had to order her home medical equipment. We removed her on Tuesday. They told us to come between 11 and 12. We got there at 9:30 and they had packed her stuff and had her sitting in a wheelchair in the hall. The only medical equipment they ordered was a wheelchair. They told us they ordered a bed, but the home health center never received the order. I would not reccomend this for my worst enemy. The staff needs to be trained to be caring and compassionate.

My mother was in NHC Healthcare - Lexington for around a month for rehab. It's an excellent place for someone who needs rehabilitation services. The caregivers were friendly and thorough, and the place was very clean, attractive, and well-equipped. I chose them based on recommendations, reviews, and the location. It's like a C-shaped building that had different wings and nice landscaping. They provided rehabilitation services and intensive care. They had bingo, church services, singalongs, a poetry night, crossword puzzles that they brought to the room, if the patient couldn't leave the room, and they had someone go around and paint their toenails and fingernails.

I was at NHC Healthcare for rehab. The therapists were caring and the best in the country. People go there to train, that's how good they are. The food being an institutionalized food was surprisingly very good. The nutritionist was extremely kind to me and tried to find a variety of meals for me since I'm vegetarian. I thought the assistance was also good, they cleaned the room and emptied the waste basket every day. They weren't as good at changing the beddings, but then again in my case, it's hard to do that because people still had to lift me up and put me down. The nursing staff was weak. Half the time I don't get to take my medicine, so since I can't eat until I've had my them, I often reach bedtime without meals.

My mother is in NHC Healthcare – Lexington, and she is being pretty well taken care of there. There have been no issues. She has a single room to herself, which is fine, and it's pretty spacious. There are no issues with the accommodation. She is very complimentary of the food. Overall, it has been a pretty good experience for her. They have movies and trips, and this week they're taking them to do some Christmas shopping. They took them to the state fair a month ago, and they have someone come in to play music.

Everything about NHC Healthcare was excellent. Mom was a past resident of this facility. The facility is beautiful and cleanliness was excellent. The food was fabulous. The nurses and the staff were excellent as well. If you ever had a problem, they address it. My mother is always dressed and clean and they treated her with dignity. If I had to send her back somewhere she would be there because they were fantastic.

Everything I've seen in National Healthcare is fine. They have a very nice place and a seemingly competent and caring staff. They're very clean. Not particularly spacious, but with my mom's condition, it's adequate for her needs. She's in a semi-private room. I'm not familiar with most of the activities, because my mother is not able to participate. But they're setup for physical therapy. The only problem I found with them is they're out of my budget. But I would keep my mother there if I could afford to. It's a very nice place with very good atmosphere.
