My brother moved to Myrtle Beach Manor, and it's all about the meals and medical. The staff, they're pretty demanding sometimes and not accommodating to people. He is in a private room. As for the activities, he does not participate because he's paralyzed on half his body, but there's plenty to do if he wants to do it. The facility is good, but it's overpriced.

We went to Myrtle Beach Manor. We don't know who we were supposed to see, but the person that we talked to was the maintenance man. He did a good job showing us around. He didn't have any information on the pricing or anything like that, so we don't know what it's going to cost. He took us through the whole place. It looked like it was a nice place to stay. It looked like everything was going to be good. It was clean. The dining area was clean. It felt like it was a caring place. It had a good layout. The rooms were clean. Everything was well taken care of and up-to-date. The courtyard was very nice. They've done a lot of work and it was really nice and comfortable.

Myrtle Beach Manor was under a lot of construction. When you first walked in, it was not welcoming. It was not open and it was like a maze in that place. I appreciated the fact that they had all the steps. When I walked in, it felt more like a nursing home. The apartments, even for just the assisted living portion, the space was very small. They had a small under-the-counter refrigerator and a little sink, but no microwave. And that space was literally in the hallway, a little tiny hallway going from the living room to the bedroom. So, it was very, very small. The facility was very loud and very closed-in. Nothing open about it. It just reminded me of a nursing home. With that kind of money, I would want something more. The staff who gave me the tour was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I was impressed with Myrtle Beach Manor. I really wouldn't have minded putting my wife down there except for me, it was kind of geographically undesirable because it was 40 miles each way. The only staff I met with was the salesperson. The rooms were very nice, but what I saw were residential kind of rooms and my wife has dementia. She doesn't need an apartment. She just needs a room and a bed, and the ability to go to common places. She is not particularly mobile so that limits her ability to get around. It seemed like there was an opportunity for her to participate in the typical stuff. Unfortunately, my wife is not really into the typical stuff because she never has been a game player, so to speak. Bingo is not exactly where she'd want to go. It was nice and clean and everybody seemed friendly. It was a beautiful building. It was well maintained.

We were pretty impressed with our tour at Myrtle Beach Manor. I liked that aside from assisted living and memory care, they also offer skilled nursing there and physical therapy. They've got an exercise room, they also had activities as well. One of the things I asked was what would a day be like for my husband there. And I was impressed that they had a good plan and information with regards to the day-to-day, and what the residents would do and when they do it. The staff that we met with talked to us and worked with us.

The personnel at Myrtle Beach Manor were prompt, friendly, and informative. It was an older facility, but it was clean. It was easy to access, as far as getting there. I toured the general areas and some sample rooms that were available. I looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. They were adequate space.

We visited Myrtle Beach Manor, which we liked. It was good. It's a very nice place. I saw the assisted living, but they have skilled nursing there as well. The director was wonderful and responsive to us. She called me from her cellphone in the evening and she gave us all the details. It's been a very interesting process. They were very upfront with everything, with care, cost, and so forth. The staff was wonderful. It's totally remodeled. The facilities were nice.

Myrtle Beach Manor was very nice. The lady who gave the tour was very informative. It was an older place but they were remodeling it. She then took me all over the area, including the grounds, and I saw their nice dining room. The whole facility was very clean. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the residents all looked happy.

My mother will be moving into Myrtle Beach Manor. The people were friendlier and the rooms were much bigger. They had a one-bedroom and a studio as opposed to the other place. The staff during the tour was very nice, very friendly, very informative, and really sold the place. The tour lasted for over an hour. I like that they can go outside and they have the waterway. They have gazebos outside screened in and you can watch the boats on the waterway. The dining rooms were bigger, and the activity rooms were bigger and nicely furnished.

Be aware of Myrtle Beach Manor. They are extremely understaffed and do not give the care the residents need. The room are large but all of them have a step-up shower which is very hard for many residents to get in to. There are many many many bugs. The food service has gone down hill. If you complain about anything too many times you are asked to move out. There is one women on the cleaning staff that has to be at least 90 years old and has worked there for over 30 years. Notice the last time they got any type of award was 2016. There is never any staff around to answer the doors, people can walk in and out all day without any question. No one will ever call you back. If a resident has a complaint it is never lack of care it is always something is wrong with the resident. Not recommended!! This is just a few things that are wrong with the Myrtle Beach Manor

My dad has moved into Myrtle Beach Manor. It came recommended from some friends. So far, so good. The staff are so far, so good. My dad's room is very nice. It's convenient. The staff is very attentive. It's a good experience so far. They have activities, but they have just started. Also he has just moved in.

Myrtle Beach Manor is a nice facility. My father-in-law was there for several years. I don't have any complaints. They wash my father's clothes, provide haircuts and doctors, and they'll also take you to your doctor's appointment. The dining room is right across the hall. If he gets sick, they take him to the hospital. There are a lot of amenities. There's also assisted living in place. He gets taken care of 24/7. The staff is very nice and cooperative. They provide very good meals. It's a beautiful facility. They can go outside, and there's a big pond behind it and a lake. They have outdoor seating if you want to go outside.

We've seen the people at Myrtle Beach Manor interact with the residents and it seems like a good place for my mother. You can get a studio with a kitchenette, a deluxe, or a two-bedroom room. They have multiple levels to choose from. Each day, they go to people's rooms and make sure they're aware of the activities for the day. They help them get out of the room and make sure they're involved. They'll actually prompt them to be engaged which is what my mother needs. They have exercise activities and game day. I've been there twice unannounced, and those two times they have found someone to take me on the tour and show me what I need, so they've been very accommodating. They understand that it's their task to make my mom feel welcome and engaged. It's nice although not as nice as where my mom is now, but it provides better care.

I can truly say that I absolutely love everyone at the Myrtle Beach Manor ! They are very thoughtful and caring staff. They without a doubt saved my fathers life. When all others said he would not survive they never gave up. My father went through his 3rd cancer surgery. He was taken to a rehab/nursing home in Maryland. The conditions were absolutely horrible. Worse then most jails in the country. My father developed Grandma seizures, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, was on a peg feeding tube. I was ask by two doctors at that facility if I wanted them to pull the plug. I knew right then and there I had to take him some where that people really cared. That place without a doubt was Myrtle Beach Manor. My father started showing improvements within a just a few days. Within a little more than a month after the loving care that he received from the entire staff (John, Kimberly, Tina, Patricia, Rachel, Donna, Christine, Cathy just to name a few) he no longer has seizures, does not use any oxygen, diabetes is non existing, he is completely off the feeding tube, is eating REAL FOOD and is walking on his own.. It is if nothing ever happened. I know that it is because of the love and professional training that everyone there gave to my father, I am forever thankful to everyone in that entire staff. I thought Myrtle Beach Manor was very nice. I thought the dining area was very small. It was more of an assisted living place, so maybe they have more people who stay in their rooms than those who come down in the dining area and maybe that?s why it was small. But the place was very nice, and it seemed very clean in the areas that I went to.

I had a tour at Myrtle Beach, and I like it. It was clean. They have suites instead of just a one room setup, and I like that very much. The only thing that I did not like was I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling during the whole tour.

Myrtle Beach Manor appeared to be a good facility. I was especially impressed with the memory care section because it seemed to have a lot of activities for the people there, it was very clean, and everyone seemed friendly. As far as I could tell, the residents were happy. I thought they had a good selection of activities, and it was good. They had things that people would be interested in. The rooms were very nice. I thought there should have been more menu choices because there was only one main meal, and if the person didn't want that, there was only one alternative. Sometimes, that's not enough if a person has sensitivities, likes, and dislikes.

Myrtle Beach Manor had a a whole different environment. There were nice people, but I felt like I was going into a hospital. We had a tour, and the staff was great and some of the residents seemed as happy as they could be. The cafeteria and living room areas were nice. They just needed to brighten up the place because it was kind of dark when you went inside and needed color. It was not a bad place; I just did not get the same feeling there as I did at the place where my mom was already living.

I visited Myrtle Beach Manor. Their staff was good and have a good reputation. What I don’t like about this place is that it's right on a very busy street.

I've placed my mother at Myrtle Beach Manor. It is very nice. It is bright and airy. They have a lot of light activities that are good for the patients. My mom is getting excellent care there. Also, she said the food is very good. The facility is very clean. My mom is in a private room, and it is fine for her.

We liked Myrtle Beach Manor very much. The rooms were just like a studio, but it was nice, and it is probably all that my mother needs. The staff was excellent. They were very informative, and they explained all their activities and how they look after the people there. It was very nice and very clean.

Mom has been at Myrtle Beach Manor for almost a month now. The caregivers are very good. The rooms and apartments are very efficient and very clean. Probably the only complaint my mom has is the food; she says it’s not that good. They have bingo, Wii bowling, and outings like shopping. They go out to eat, and they have exercises or walking clubs. I think they could probably do more activities and have a better selection of food. I would recommend it.

I went to the Myrtle Beach Manor. It was a very nice place, but it’s a little further away from where I live than I wanted to be. They gave me a tour of the whole place which was very nice. I got to talk to a couple of the residents. The rooms were fine for one person. They showed me the calendar, and they were actually having an activity that day. It was a sing-along thing which was cool. It seemed very clean which I think is very important. The dining area was fairly newly renovated, so it was very nice.

I'm very satisfied with Myrtle Beach Manor. It is very nice. It is very clean, and the staff is very nice. We were looking for assisted living. They had one room that shares a bathroom and kitchen. They had individual rooms too. I saw that they were playing the piano and singing. They told us some of the activities that they did such as exercising and singing. They have activities during the day like arts and crafts. The reason why we didn't select it is because -- particularly in South Carolina -- it is hard to get a place with Medicaid. That is a big reason we couldn't do anything.

I love Mrytle Beach Manor. The staff is friendly, very caring, and thorough. It is always clean, and they take very good care of my mother. I did try the food there, and if I just showed at supper time, they would feed me. The food was great, and there was a wide variety. My mother was there for rehab, and she was mainly doing rehab. They have an activity room, and they even had a patio on the waterway. I love them.

I’m at Myrtle Beach Manor because I’m 98 years old and I broke my hip twice. The room is adequate. I have a small refrigerator and a microwave. The food is good. I eat 3 meals a day. There’s plenty of space upstairs and in the dining room to socialize.

The rooms were tiny at Myrtle Beach Manor, although it seemed like a nice place, but they didn’t have the amenities we would need. The rooms were just too small, and I didn’t go much further than that. There is no way my mom is going to leave all her stuff behind and move into those tiny rooms. The staff were well informed and very pleasant.

We visited Myrtle Beach Manor, and the experience was good. The staff was excellent, but the rooms, I just didn’t think they were very well equipped. I thought they lacked in a lot of areas. Their dining area was very good. They do have different activities. They have crafts and exercise, all the usual things that you sign up for in an assisted living. I think they need to make the units a little larger.

Myrtle Beach Manor was older and the rooms were updated. It’s a nice place. It did not smell and the hygiene was very good. The staff is nice, caring and accommodating. The food was very good. They had jazz bands that my dad liked.

We had been looking at Myrtle Beach Manor. It was three miles from my dad's house and I passed it all the time. It was very clean and very nice. Everyone was very polite and courteous. The rooms seemed also nice and I observed that they care given to the residents were quite appropriate.

I was at Myrtle Beach Manor before. It was a nice facility. It was right in the inner coastal where I can go out, rode a scooter and watched the boats.
