We live in Franke at Seaside. It's wonderful. In general, it's okay. We have a cottage here. We have been here for 13 years now. As far as the facility here, everything we need is here from independent living to assisted living to nursing home to Alzheimer's care. It's all here, and as far as I know, it's all good. The staff is wonderful. Everybody is very friendly and caring. The meals are fine. We get two meals a day. We get our lunch in the eating facility itself. There's an eating bar, tables, and a nice dining room. In the evening, in general, we go through a buffet, and then you can eat either there or bring it home. I can't think that we need anything more. We're well-supplied with amenities. There are game places like croquet and cornhole. Some people have walking groups and there's swimming. There's just about anything that you could picture at a senior citizen center. Someone comes in once a week and cleans the house for us, and that's very helpful. They do an adequate job. There are too many activities you could do every day. There are always classes, presentations, concerts, and just all sorts of things going on. And of course, there's a chapel here, which is important to me, because this is a Lutheran facility. For most of my adult life, I was married to a Lutheran pastor, so I've always been Lutheran, so it's very important to me that this is a Lutheran facility. But we have all denominations. We have Jewish people living here and we have people that have no church background.

The tour we did of Franke at Seaside's independent living was good. I got all my questions answered, and I got an understanding of how much it cost. The facilities were fine. We looked at a 2-bedroom, it was on the second floor with an elevator, and it was very spacious. It has plenty of room for two people. The staff who toured us was also knowledgeable and personable. The food was very good and the dining area was very attractive.

We went to Franke at Seaside, and I was very disappointed in that. We walked into the entrance and it was very, very dated, and old. The furniture was all shabby and it looked like it needed cleaning. After hearing so much about this place, I was just very disappointed in it, and the girl who showed us around was very nonplussed about the whole thing. And there's a waiting list. The only thing a plus was they have porches, and it was screened in, and I have a cat. They all have the amenities, like a painting class, and cards. They have an exercise room, which I thought was very, very small.

Franke At Seaside's level of care is excellent. My parents were both in the independent and assisted living. They have many activities, and the meals were also excellent.

Franke Home at Seaside is a Lutheran run facility. I toured the independent living. It's very nice. It's got ample acreage. They have cottages and apartments, and I was looking into the apartment. The apartments have designated parking underneath the building, which is nice. It's real convenient because you can walk to the main area, the commercial area right from there that has all the shops and restaurants, and everything you would want access to. Those are the high features and by going to a monthly rental plan, that's well within my budget. I was very impressed with the staff. The other thing is they just added on to their main building where they have all the amenities, resstaurants, and everything else. It was updated during this pandemic, and it is really better than I thought it was than it was before. The rooms are very ample. The particular apartment that I'm looking at has two bedrooms, a sunroom, a good-sized living room, a very nice kitchen, and the two baths. It's quite nice, and it overlooks a very nice wooded area and large ponds. It is a nice place. They just upgraded the dining area. It's a very nice dining room, and then they have off to the side a pub where you can gather for happy hours and things like that. It looks good. I saw the monthly menu. It looked very nice and very varied. They have a plan in which they give you so many meal dollars per month to spend, so you have all kinds of flexibility. If you want to just eat a breakfast one day and dinner the next, or breakfast and dinner the same day, you just use this allotment. It's pretty much boils down until you get 30 days at $8 a day.

My mother-in-law is in a long-term care facility at Franke Home at Seaside. They have different levels of care from independent living to assisted living. They also have a rehab wing and a skilled nursing facility. The staff is doing a good job. She is in a single room with a private bath. They have semi-private with two people in the same room and a nice program. They use their chapel for social events and bring in musical performances, speakers, church service on a weekly basis, and activities for the people. They have an activities director and physical and occupational therapy.

Franke at Seaside was clean. The staff was very friendly, cooperative, and knew all the people living there. They had two or three dining facilities, a swimming pool, big exercise rooms, and well-kept grounds. It’s close to a little shopping center, several restaurants, and grocery stores.

My Mother went here for rehabilitation and was dehabilitated. She lost weight was depressed, had urinary issues that were not reported to us and were only treated by putting her in a diaper. We were told she needed to be on oxygen the rest of her life and when she was finally out of there and saw her real Dr. we found out she did not need it at all. We feel they were not helping my mother get better to get the most money out of her insurance. Disgusting behavior and do not recommend anyone to subject their loved one to their abuse.

I thought Franke Home was a nice facility. It was a little pricey and, I think, they had some buy-ins, but they really were not clear about that. The only thing, there was just one meal a day. They seemed to have a whole list of activities going on.

My grandmother move here since she needed help being cared for. Everyone seemed nice and seemed like a nice place. Mt grandmother started to lose her mind a little. They kept telling my family that it was dementia and that she was on no medication. We finally look her out. When we signed her out they gave us a long list of medications.. Medication they lied to us about and medication that was no needed. In about a week of leaving she went back to her normal self. Obviously her nurse didn't want to deal with her and drugged her so she didn't have to. Please look out for a friend/family member if they are here and not acting their self!

We found Franke, and my mother-in-law will be moving in in September. She's starting out in independent living, but she can graduate to assisted and nursing home if needed in the future. We knew of it because we live here. She had a wonderful visit, and they've been incredibly accommodating, and her apartment is getting fixed up now. The apartment is lovely. All the independent rooms have a porch off the living area, which gives some more square footage and the ability to feel like you're outdoors. To me, the rooms at Franke were far superior. The other thing she liked about it was that she only has to include one meal a day, so that she can eat her breakfast or her lunch in her apartment. She can pick and choose when she eats in the dining room or the cafe. The dining area is lovely, perfect. When she visited, she said the food was better than any restaurant she's been to. They have art classes, book clubs, and they go to symphonies. They have current event clubs and play mahjong. If it's a bit too hot, they have an indoor pool for water aerobics and swimming. They have a huge athletic gym with equipment. They have physical therapy. I think it's very vibrant. It's a community that emphasizes active living, so it's very intellectually and physically stimulating. They do stuff to keep them young and active.

Franke Home looked very good, but it wasn't for my mother. The staff was very good. You buy a suite for a couple of hundred thousand dollars. Their people were very, very independent. They looked nice. The people there probably went to work. They have houses; they have their apartments. They have a beautiful indoor pool. They had a parking garage. They have everything.

Over at Franke Home at Seaside, the room was very tiny. My older sister's take on it was that it barely had a room for a twin bed. The residents were really living inside their rooms. They were out of action most of the time. There were some things about its assisted living area that were still there from a good ten, fifteen years ago. And, you still have about a six inch lift to step over and walk into the walk-in shower, which could be enough of an impediment for those who are mobility challenged. The staff was very congenial. They were able to answer a lot of questions and were just very, very positive.

I thought if my dad would have come here, Franke would definitely be the choice. I was convinced not to go any further after my visit. It was homey and the people were very nice and sincere. Everything was spectacular. It was very impressive because they had a cathedral there. I was also impressed with the chef they hired and the food. However, the rooms were below standard compared to all the other facilities I've visited.

I had my aunt at The Franke Home for 7 years. She had a single room and lived with her cat there. It was quite good. They didn't do much for my aunt though because she had her own personal aide. I would recommend this facility.

This is a lovely facility equipped with a memory care unit. The atmosphere is very cheerful and residents seem busy and happy. Dining facility is quite open although does seem smaller than some I have seen. I loved the outdoor garden where residents can work in the garden or visit the rabbits that live there.

This facility is located in a quiet area; the grounds are very large and quite beautiful, providing many opportunities for outdoor activities for residents. The inside of the buildings were clean and spacious, and there are many different levels of care for different residents. The medical care available is proficient, and when they are not able to provide care to a high enough level, they will send the resident to a nearby hospital. The care attendants are numerous and very attentive. They exhibit a high level of competence and patience with older residents, and are always available when needed. My only complaint was that the food in the facility is not very good, and the rooms for the patients look a little dated. However, everything is kept up as well as possible, and there are restaurants in the same area to take residents to when you visit. All in all, a very well run establishment.
