My sister moved into Oaks at Chanticleer. The Oaks have done a good job by far, and have communicated well. The staff is friendly. The place is very nice, very open, well taken care of. It's a nice facility. I think it's a very safe place there for people with the problems that my sister is having. She's walking in the facility really well, and I think she's happy and made friends. They have different patios in different rooms, sections of it. They have a beautiful bird inside in a big cage. They have music there. They're going to be celebrating Valentine's Day. I got something in the mail yesterday about that. So that's a good thing. I'm going to try to go over there and be with her on that day.

My mom's experience at Oaks at Chanticleer has been great. They are very accommodating, and they take very good care of her. The staff has been very good. They're very experienced and know how to deal with people with dementia and Alzheimer's. The place is very nice and very clean. They have a whole board of activities. They have something from early in the morning until 8:00 at night. They have a wide variety of activities, from exercising to bingo to bowling.

As far as the Oaks at Chanticleer is concerned, it is one of the best places my husband has been. It's bright, cheery, and not gloomy. He's just now beginning to come out of his room but I would say everybody has been really helpful to him. I appreciate everything that they've done to help us out. The hospital is right in front of it and that was one of the things that I considered when deciding to place him there, that it's local and close to medical stuff. For food, I guess they do the best they can and they're trying to make a balanced meal. They could do with a little bit of improvement though. My husband is on the assisted living side. He's been there since May. As far as the value of what you get for your money, I would say it's in line with everybody else. They also give a VA break or a discount if you're a veteran. I'm not seeing that much activity but they try. These patients are just not capable. There are dementia patients there so that's very, very difficult but I'll give them an A for effort.

I liked Oaks at Chanticleer. It was beautiful. It's all memory care and it was so adorable and creative on how they have it set up. I enjoyed talking to Galen. She has called me several times. The residents and everybody there looked like they were content and happy.

I toured the Oaks at Chanticleer. I was not impressed with the place, it had the smell of a retirement home. I talked to the person, and after I left, I had already ruled them out. The staff appeared to be very knowledgeable and they were trying to be helpful, but it did not feel like the place that I wanted to put dad in. The rooms were all semi-private, and they hadn't been remodeled in a while. I think that place had like two dining rooms, so they were small to middle-sized. They had salons and they had like an ice cream soda shop, and they had popcorn and other things, kind of like a bistro. It's an old facility. It has not been remodeled in a while.

My mom is at Oaks at Chanticleer. The place is clean. It's reasonably priced. The staff is open and inviting. They contact us whenever there's a concern. The least I like about it is that it's probably the building manager is not responsive. They have movie night and bingo. During Christmas, they did decorate. There is an enclosed outside space there. There is a hairdresser. There is like a little kind of fake ice cream shop.

My mother is here, and it's been very good. They have arts and crafts and music programs. They have three meals a day and do the laundry. They have physicians stop by, take care of her medications, and have a podiatrist and a hairdresser come by.

It was nice. I don't know if it would be the right fit for my husband, but it was a very nice community. They have different pods surrounding the courtyard and semi-private rooms, but the bathrooms were not in the rooms. It seemed more appropriate for much older residents. There were a few residents doing small exercises in the open areas, but otherwise, I didn't observe any other activities going on. This community was nice for elderly people, but there probably was not much going on there. It was too quiet.

I liked it a lot. It was very nice and very spacious with lots of spaces to walk around. There were lots of things for the clients to participate in. However, they did not have showers in the room. They had a lot of walking area and places to sit. There were magazines in little corners and things like that. That was nice. The staff was very informative. They had special programs going on for the clients.

It was very nice. I was impressed. I would jump at this one too except that it is 25 miles from my house. Nevertheless, it is like a little town. They have different sections for different levels of care. They have a common dining area. They have a little hairdresser shop, laundry, a soda shop, and an ice cream shop. I thought that was really neat. I like it. The staff seemed very nice and very open. They were willing to answer any questions you might have.
