My mother is at the Heartland Health Care Center Greenville East (Formerly Oakmont East Nursing Center) right now. She's not been moving, and she's not functioning but so far, everything has been okay. The place looks amazing and clean, and everybody's been friendly. They call me a lot and let me know what's going on. She's on the rehab side, which is the East. They have meals. We haven't been able to go in mainly because of Covid, but we looked through the window. I see her with food, but I don't know what it tastes like and I've never had it. We're not able to go inside, but from what I see through the window, everything looks okay. The bedding looks good. She seems comfortable, and she's clean. I don't see any dirt on her or anything. She's not doing anything, and I don't see anybody out there really doing as much because of Covid. Pretty much, the place is on lockdown.

After my mom left the hospital, she went to Oakmont. While she was there, they did rehabilitation with her like memory skills. They helped her get her muscles back to where they needed to be for her to be able to fully utilize her range of motion with walking and her arm movement. However, my mom was actually miserable the entire time she was there. The facility was neither welcoming nor inviting. It was very drafty. My mom said it felt like it was a holding place for her to die. I thought the main thing was that the staff was not very friendly. They were not as accommodating as I thought they would have been. Now, the outside person that came in and actually did rehabilitation, they were good. They were very thorough with my mom and made sure that she did the workout that she was supposed to do.
