I was at National Health Care - Garden City convalescing from back surgery, and I felt like the place was not well run. The nurse's aides were not compassionate. I didn't think it was terribly clean either. I don't think a place like that should have carpeting on the floor in the rooms, because they never came in and cleaned them or anything. I was there for three weeks, and the food wasn't good. It had a main section where the dining room was, and then there were three wings to it. I think it was very expensive to stay there, although I had mine covered under Medicare.

National Health Care in Garden City was excellent. They provided wonderful therapy. My uncle's room was shared, and it was basic, but it was kept very neatly. The staff was excellent, had a very good attitude, and their disposition was great. They did a lot of activities and they had a daily calendar that you could choose from. I highly recommend it. He had no complaints about the food.

I came to NHC after a knee replacement at Conway Medical Center. I had toured the place ahead of time, and found it to be bright, clean, with friendly staff. After a couple of slight missteps my first two days, I found the staff to be accomplished, helpful, friendly and professional. The physical therapy and occupational therapy folks were fabulous to me, encouraging me to push myself to improve, and recover. Friendly, helpful, and effective. I plan to return when I have my other knee done. Thanks to all the staff! You made my stay much better than anticipated.

I was impressed with NHC HealthCare. It was right next to a golf course. I liked it there. I was impressed with the staff. They all were very professional and friendly. They seemed to care about the patients because it looked like everybody was okay. The dining room was nice and clean. The layout was very nice, and the rooms were nice.

My husband was in NHC for respite care, and it was wonderful. It was very quiet, pleasant, and the residents seemed to be happy and content. He was always clean and well cared for. The staff and security were wonderful. They had activities like bingo. Everybody was friendly, took care of business, and welcomed you like family.

My grandfather was at NHC from Oct 2011-Feb 2012. He was only in there for rehab but they took excellent care of him. All of the staff were great.
