Commander Nursing home is HORRIBLE!!! The staff is very short patient and DO NOT care about the well-being of the patients at all. My dear mother started her journey at Commander Nov of 2020 and 4 mons later she is in ICU fighting for her life because of enormous bed sores that became extremely infected. The infection entered her bloodstream. I called to check on my mother everyday and did window visits on the weekends due to COVID we were not allowed to go inside. These people lied to me whenever I would ask how my mom was doing , they would ALWAYS say she was doing ok. My mom is fighting for her life in ICU!!! this is totally painful too watch her suffer and totally unacceptable. My mom DID NOT deserved to be mistreated and unproperly taken care of. 😔 The family discovered the enormous bed sores because my mother was transported to the hospital after receiving dialysis treatment. The dialysis team said her Blood Pressure was low and they sent her to the hospital, while at the hospital a family member visited my mom and discovered all the many bedsores. Commander Nursing home caused my mother too suffer because of their negligence and uncleanness. I wouldn't recommend a stray animal too be sent to this place!!! Poor Poor Poor service they need to shut this place down immediately before they cause more harm. I'd hate to see anybody else go through this type of pain and suffering. Please figure out another means of taking care your love one because sending them to Commander Nursing home is going too be a painful and slow death.🥺💔

THE OWNER AND STAFF AT COMMANDER DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS, JUST THE MONEY.CNA'S OR NURSES WAIT HOURS TO ANSWER CALL LIGHT, RESIDENTS ARE LEFT LAYING IN BOWL MOVEMENTS OR URINE,WHEN ASK FOR HELP RESIDENT'S ARE VERBALLY ABUSED.WHEN REPORTING STAFF TO OWNER, THEY TAKE UP FOR STAFF, RESIDENT IS ALWAYS AT FAULT NOT STAFF.

The staff at Commander Nursing Center are human so they will never be perfect. They do their very best to take care of the residents so that they are happy, safe, and medically stable. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff are professional and pleasant. They have MANY activities available to them each weak including bingo, arts & crafts, musical programs and more. The food is EXCELLENT. I have NEVER encountered an facility that goes as far as Commander to make the residents feel at home. When looking for a Skilled Nursing Facility for a loved one, Commander is an excellent choice.

Lazy staff who doesn't check on patients unless or when family members ask. Unaffordable without Medicaid. Leave food trays on other side of room when patients are bed ridden and unable to get up and do it on regular basis. Anytime family shows up there's no sheets on bed till after family arrival. If patients who are bed ridden try to get up and fall they stay on floor until someone looks in room. ( could be several hours. Call family members asking what they should do ...lol I thought the staff is supposed to be trained.. They don't even know how to read a thermometer.
Severly Disappointed

If your family member has alzheimer's or dementia do not place them here, they keep them heavily sedated and in a wheelchair near the front desk so they do not have to watch them. All this sedation only progresses their alzheimer's which in turn causes an early death. Wouldn't put a rabid dog in this facility

Commander was really good. I liked that they were friendly, good people. The rooms were good. They had two people to a room and private rooms. It was a clean place.

Mom needed a nursing home, so we put her in Commander Nursing Center. We were very pleased with this nursing home. The place was clean and wasn’t like a regular nursing home where there is an odor. The nurses were very nice and did what they were supposed to do. They give her three meals a day and have activities, like bingo and entertainment where people come in. They keep their patients busy.

Commander Nursing Center is located in a residential area. It's only about 35 minutes from where I live, and I go check on my mother probably 3 to 4 times a week. They provide 24-hour nursing care, help her with bathing, and other things she may need. They have porches in front where they could let the residents sit out in their wheelchairs or their rockers. They also have a big room with TV and a large dining area. I don't have any complaints about them at all.
