Since 1998 we have provided care for elderly and disabled individuals 18 years or older who require supportive care during the day but can return home to be with their loved ones in the evenings. New Generations Adult Day Centers offer programs designed to care for individuals with Alzheimer's/Dementia, disabilities and those who are frail and elderly that require assistance with daily activities. We currently have three South Carolina locations in Florence, Marion and Ridgeland.
Some of the benefits of having your loved one attend adult day include:
- Medical supervision by Register Nurse (RN)
- Mental and physical stimulation
- Companionship and Socialization
- Enhanced self-esteem
- Prevent, or at least delay, the caregiver having to resort to Nursing home placement
- Respite for the primary caregiver to receive a needed break and rest from caregiving
- Transportation to and from our facility is available
New Generations Adult Day Center has three specialized programs:
- Garys Gang - offers specific activities for individuals with special needs as well as fun outings such as bowling, hayrides, movies and fairs.
- The Upfront Gang - is for our more mature frail and elderly population. They enjoy activities like our daily devotions, crafts, shopping excursions, and exercising.
- The 2:00 Club - New Generations is proud to announce the opening of our Alzheimer's Dementia Care unit in the spring 2013. While New Generations has provided specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's / Dementia for over a decade, we are proud to take the next step in providing the best possible Dementia care. My Son has been attending the "Gary's Gang" program at New Generations for nearly 3 years. Since he is non-verbal, I pay close attention to his emotions and body language. He comes homes tired so I know he had an active day. He is ready to go back the next morning so I know he enjoys himself at the center. The staff are very attentive and treat the individuals they support with patience, dignity and love. I have very happy with New Generations.

New Generations has truly been a God send to my family. My oldest child (now 20) is special needs and requires around the clock care and attention. I was at a loss when he was at the point of aging out of the public school system, I was told about New Generations, and I cannot express how blessed I am to have my son there. From the very first visit, I felt very welcomed and a sense of ease with leaving him there for care. I know that he is shown the same kind of love and attention that I would give him at home. My husband and I both work outside the home, so knowing that he is cared for while we work is comfort that no mother can describe. I would highly recommend New Generations to any parent, or spouse that needs care for their loved one. The staff is amazing and treat the clients as family. I am given a calender each month to let me know what is going on during that month, as well as a news letter. I could not feel more blessed, I know he is loved, taken care of and happy!

I thank God for New Generations Adult Day Care. My husband of 38 years has Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. I had to retire from a job I loved to stay home with him. I had just about come to my wit's end when a dear neighbor passed by New Generations and suggested I call. I called the next day and visited several days later. I was impressed, and am even more impressed four months later. The staff is professional and caring, and my husband has made many new friends there. His quality of life has improved, as he is able to engage in activities and has more opportunities to socialize with others. I could not do this for him at home. He looks forward to going to see his friends, and I look forward to having "me" time. Thank you, God for New Generations Adult Day Care for the excellent care you are giving my dear husband. You were heaven sent. May God richly bless all of you.
