The staff is very friendly and always smiling and asking if they can do anything for you or your loved one. I can sleep at night now knowing my dad is well taken care of and wants for nothing. I know that if he has any health issues they will contact me immediately. His being at home alone was not an option once the falls and injuries were a regular thing for him. I couldn't bare the thought of coming to check on him at this house and finding him injured or worse. I am so grateful that the Presbyterian is there for my dad's well being as well as mine. A true God send !!

do not take your family here if you really care for them. first, when i took my mom to this place i was very worried because of the horror stories you hear about some of these places. my mom has Afib very badly and cant move on her own at the moment. i was assured they would give her everything she needs. i was told they would bring her out of the room to socialize because i told them she is not one to sit in a room alone. they assured me no problem. a week later, i find out that it is the opposite. my mom became depressed. when i asked why she told me they never came to take her out of the room unless it was PT. not only that, a nurse came to her and told her she would not be getting her sleeping meds anymore, which she took for 12 years. i called up there and left a message to please call back on Monday. by Wednesday still no response. i live out of town so its hard for me to get right up there. i find the director number and she calls. she tells me that she will look into all of this speak to the nurse that lied, check about my calls, and call me first thing in the morning. i don't hear anything, so i call her. she says basically that now all of a sudden she will talk to the nurse in the next few days after she told me she would speak to her the day before. then, and this is funny, she tries to act like i might not have left the voicemail. "are you sure you left a voicemail. i'm gonna have to go check to see if if works because i don't see a voicemail"... so, i'm the idiot, apparently. then she tells me my moms meds aren't cancelled but they were on the other side of the place. essentially, the nurse lied because she didn't want to walk that far so she told my mom they discontinued her meds. when i brought it up, the director refused to admit that one, they deleted my voicemail and two, the nurse flat out lied to my mom. well now my mom is back in the hospital because she declined since she has been there. it also helps to know that the director knows this and promised to look into everything and call me back before twelve. she never called. again, do not put your family through this. i have never been so stressed and worried over my mom and they have consistently been untruthful and let me down.***UPDATE*** my mom is still in ICU due to the negligence. we still have not even heard a single word of condolences or anything of that sort.

We visited The Florence Presbyterian Community but it was expensive. It's very nice, everything was beautiful. The facilities are beautiful and the activities were good, the cost was just too high. The rooms in the memory care were nice, they were gorgeous inside, and the landscaping was beautiful. They had a dining area where you could choose what you wanted. Their staff appeared to be OK.

Florence Presbyterian is a well-run community, except the price is significantly higher than others. The staff is professional, however, it's one of those places that base the price upon the level of care you need. The location is good and the community is clean, but the price was higher, and I didn't like their level of care pricing.
