My husband and I are very happy here. Our apartment seems spacious, the balcony and view are great and Martin takes care of our maintenance needs. The food is outstanding. Only problem is the weight you can gain if you are not careful. The meal socialization is very important to us and it is almost always possible to find someone to eat with and talk to. I take daily exercise classes and my husband enjoys his walks on the nearby trails. We take advantage of the lunch and event outings as often as we can. We seem to be very busy. This is a great place to be at this stage of our life.

We liked Daniel Pointe Retirement Community very much. The girl was very good, very nice on the telephone all the time. We went to the place, and were very impressed with it, but it's much farther away from downtown Charleston. The people we met that lived there were very friendly, all nice, and they came up to me. They have a live-in manager there. I would go over there. The apartments are very nice, we did have lunch there, which was very good, lots of healthy salad, and three hot things to choose from. It's pretty new. They showed us the room where they had the art classes, they also have a library, and the rooms were very nice. They all had balconies, except for the first floor which had patios.

I visited Daniel Pointe Retirement Community, which is simply independent living. It was a beautiful facility, and it had everything right there. The thing it was missing was the ability to move into assisted living or memory care. The staff seemed to be engaged with the residents. They had a pharmacy onsite, physical and occupational therapy, a salon, a fitness area, and in-home care. It was independent living, but you could have someone come in and help you. It was also in a beautiful spot, location-wise.

The tour I had at Daniel Pointe Retirement Community went well. We liked the facilities and we appreciate that everything was indoors so that the residents didn't have to go outside. The rooms were beautiful. We thought that it was very pristine and spacious enough. I liked the atrium and the overhead balcony. They also provide transportation for doctor's appointments or local shopping stuff.

Daniel Pointe Retirement Community was very informative and very welcoming. The facility was lovely. The dining room was the most attractive of the three places I visited. We had lunch there, a buffet style, and the food was good. The room sizes were just smaller.

We looked at the Daniel Pointe Retirement Community. It's a little bit older than the other place we toured, it's five years old. It would be our second choice if we decide to do this. The thing that bothered me was the inside was a little bit dark. the size of the apartment was smaller than the other one, it's hard to figure out if the furniture and everything else were going to fit in. but they're clean and they're painting and cleaning them up from the previous tenant. They had a theater, they had a library, and a fitness area. The outdoor area was nice.

We're moving to Daniel Pointe Retirement Community. We chose them because they had the best setup for food, and the place is so pretty and nice. The people were so helpful and that's just what we wanted. The staff and employees are also helpful. They have salad bars and everything and my husband uses a walker, so when he's getting his food, they come and get it for him from the salad bar. They ask him what he wants and they help carry his tray. The way they have it set up, not everybody has to eat at once, they have a two-hour meal time so you can go any time in between. Besides, they have all kinds of other stuff. The food is very good. We get the apartment cleaned every week and we got a nice deck, not exactly a patio because we're on the first floor. They try to put all the people with dogs on the first floor, which is good. We have exercise classes every day, they have all kinds of games, and things to do to get people together. Things like card games, all kinds of stuff.

We went to visit Daniel Pointe Retirement Community. The tour was very good, we like it a lot. They were very informative, the facility was nice, and it's a nice community. My mom liked it a lot and thought it was nice that they offer a lot as far as activities. They had a gym, they had a video arcade room, nice walking trails, a library, and a nice lobby with a koi pond which was pretty. The person who gave us the tour was great, tried to understand what we were looking for and was very informative about the process and what they have to offer. They're very professional. The overall facility looked a little more dated than the other one we looked at. It just looks a little older inside but it's nice.

We were able to tour Daniel Pointe Retirement Community's independent living and everything was very nice, everything was excellent. They provide meal service 24/7. You could get a meal any time, night and day, and we were very tempted to be there but the rent would have been just about double what we're paying in our current home. That would have taken all our pension and I didn't want to spend all our pension on one thing. We also figure we would like to be in West Ashley more, where we currently live, versus getting stuck in Daniel Island. We could walk to places in West Ashley while in Daniel Island, you would need a car because you're sort of stuck out beyond the shops and restaurants. You'd need a car if you want to get anywhere. It's a very beautiful place though but it's not for us. The person who assisted us during the tour was very pleasant and informative. We had an excellent meal during the tour. The place looks brand-new so everything was nice and clean. If you have ever been on a cruise ship, a fancy cruise ship, that's what this facility reminded me of. You walk in, it's a huge atrium, and all the facilities branch off to the great room. You can look up to the top floor because you could see the different levels. I think it was a 4 or 5 story building and you could see all the levels and all the quarters look like you were on a cruise ship. The lady said, "Oh, well good, you noticed that. That's what they had in mind when they designed it." It's like when you walk in, you're on vacation. You're not even at home, you're on a permanent vacation. It was just double the price and we couldn't afford that. That's great if I was a millionaire.

Daniel Pointe Retirement Community was pretty nice. There's nothing noticeable in their Covid protocols. They had a nice fountain in the center of the lobby, which was kind of viewable from the upper floors. They had a koi pond there. It's a nice touch. The apartments weren't quite as nice as the other place, but they were still nice. The place was clean. The staff was professional, but their business model was a little confusing because they do a lot of privatized home care instead of assisted living. You kind of have to seek out and figure out what your care needs are. She did an OK job of explaining it, but I wasn't entirely sold on it. The dining area looked pretty nice. There was an area behind the building where you could look out over the water and you can see that from the dining area, and that was nice. They had libraries and some nice rooms where the residents were kind of mixed in. They had a salon.

Daniel Pointe is very nice. They take really good care of my sister and we're very pleased with the place. She has participated in yoga in their fitness center, and there are walking trails around the property. The food is very good and she's enjoying having everything so easily available. They also have amenities like a library.
