You have two kinds of staff at Nhc Healthcare - Anderson, one of them is the nurses that want to put you in bed at 6:00, and if you don't take it then, they want you to wait until they've finished their rounds and you'll be seen back at 11:00. They had a very knowledgeable intake person. She met me when I was able to be met. She stayed late and helped me fill out all the papers that I needed to and checked on everything if she was covered for anything. My wife liked the food. It was difficult for me to walk and I thought the place was laid out poorly. If the room starts at 101 and your loved one is in 138, then it's a long walk. The building was up for a while, but it didn't seem old. They had to Hoyer lift my wife up and down and nobody complained. Nobody even had a crooked smile. They were all very pleasant. I think she liked their activities when she was with the therapist. However, I can't help thinking about those people screaming in the hall, and when I brought it to anyone's attention, they said, "Oh, she does that all the time."

Patients say for hours in day room. I saw Yelling at patient behind counter. Ignoring patients ALL time when asked for any help. One floor nurse never investigated by sup or head. Blatant neglect and intimidation I saw. Patients left for hours uncleaned and unattended. I witnessed and reported and no investigation. Be careful. This could be your family. I tried repeatedly to report what I saw and heard and it got worse. Main bad nurse even tried yelling at me like she does patients. Her sup and head does nothing and admin is aware. Left emails and it’s a circle in itself. It’s awful to treat vulnerable people who count on you like nothing and then neglect and abuses. Some sites need to know this. I was speaking up and it was ignored and my family member suffered and they refused any info to us and records. Awful place. Even records lady lying now about records and we still don’t have them.

My mom stayed at Nhc Healthcare - Anderson for rehab. In the very beginning, it was quite a few obstacles, very disappointing. We had to have 2 or 3 different meetings with the social worker and staff. Mom was not very well-kept, and we had to request that she be bathed. There was a long wait when she needed to go to the bathroom, and then it was a cleanup job. The staff was very rude to her. But once we brought that to their attention, some things did change. It got better, but, sadly, it had to be brought up for it to get better. The grounds are beautiful, they keep them well. I have found out that what they offer is different depending on what section you are in. With my mom being in the rehab, they offered a few things through the week, but not as much as the other part of the facility. There was bingo and I think they did a few crafts from time to time. The food wasn't so good, mom wasn't happy with it. With the staff, it was very different from when my mom first started and when she left. When she first started, they were rude, and part of it could have been my mom adjusting. There was some rudeness, you could ask questions and some of them wouldn't answer. These were the aides; badges were turned around where you couldn't see who you were talking to. When that was addressed in one of the meetings, that did change. They became more interactive and pleasant. I don't know what was going on, whether they were short-staffed at the time. It caused a lot of pressure on the aides to have to deal with so many patients at one time, so I'm sure that's stressful. But it did get resolved and things did get better. When Mom left there, things were on a good note. If there was more communication between staff and physical therapy. The nursing staff and aides were very much different from the physical therapy staff. They did not work together. Matter of fact, one of the nurses told me, "No, we do our thing, and they do their thing and we do not cross." So, if it's going to be a rehab center, I would think everybody would be working together to implement that rehab.

My Dad was there after his hospital stay. He was at NHC for 64 days and ended up worse than when he went in. He ended up back in the hospital but only ended up there because we had to insist that he needed to go was he was severely dehydrated and a horrible UTI among other things. The medical care there is horrible. Now he’s at another facility and has made vast improvements in half the time. If you can’t do everything for yourself there you are in trouble. Please don’t send your loved ones there.

My mom is in the nursing home at NHC HealthCare - Anderson. I'm very pleased. It seems that they have enough caretakers to take care of the people that are in there and personal attention was given when needed. They're pureeing her food; I didn't have a meal there. They play bingo, they have movies in the evening, and they also do crafts.

I was in there for a month , from starting of Sept untill the end of sept , I was treated bad by the staff and the head person , I could not get up and walk , they said I was faking , they wouldnt give me food or water , by the time my Dr got me out of that place I had double pneumonia in my left lung and it was collapsed and had a blood clot in my right lung , I was anemic from no food , they had to give me blood at hospital and I'm still on medication for it , I went through 7 surgeries to keep me from dying , now today 2-24-21 they called my emergency contact and said they were submitting a 600.00 bill agaisnt my estate that's right they thought I was dead , I wouldnt put my worst enemy in that place . They threatened me that they would take me in front of a judge and have me declared unstable and be turned over to them , then I would see what I'd do and not do .

My mother-in-law is getting rehab at National Healthcare in Anderson (Nhc Healthcare Anderson). It's a very typical rehab facility but we've been happy with them. They play bingo and a few other things. The place is clean and the people are friendly. They have done everything we expected them to do.

NHC Anderson is the greatest thing that has ever happened for my mother. She has been a patient there for 2 years now and we have had absolutely NO complaints. The rooms are clean, the staff is awesome and so caring. The Director of Nursing is always so kind and friendly.

Right now, my mother is in a nursing home at NHC. It is clean, the staff is really nice, and the food is very good. They have lots of activities. My mother is having her birthday party there in a couple weeks. I’d rate them about a 4. It would be higher than that if they hadn’t hurt her hip the first day she was there.

We visited Nhc Healthcare. They were very favorable. They were just full. My visit there was great. My mom actually stayed there for about 30 days, and that was part of the discharge. Those people were amazing. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were standard. They had bingo, cookie day, and cake day.

My grandmother had an aneurism and stayed at NHC for 7 years, from the time she left the hospital to when she passed away. I visited her weekly, and though she could not move or speak, she seemed to be as happy and comfortable as one could hope for in such a situation. Her ward was for patients who were confined to their beds or otherwise unable to care for themselves. The nurses were very patient and caring, they made sure that her linens were always clean and all her medications and food was administered on time. They even put her into a special chair once a week so her and my grandpa could sit outside on the porch for an hour or so. I feel like they made those 7 years as comfortable as possible for her, and that they also tried to make it as easy on my grandpa as possible. I never once saw a nurse mistreat or become frustrated with a resident, even ones who were senile or belligerent. They also were very consoling and respectful when she passed, letting my grandpa and the rest of the family spend her final moments with her. I would recommend NHC to anyone in the Anderson area who needs a place for their loved-one to be taken care of when they are unable to care for themselves.
