My dad, who is 96, has been there for almost a year, and is very happy at Commonwealth House. He tells people it’s not a facility, it’s a real home, and everyone there, residents and staff alike, is part of the family. As soon as we walk through the door, every time we walk through the door, for as long as we stay, it feels like home, because the staff and residents genuinely care about each other. Dad feels accepted by everyone there, and feels a very strong sense of belonging. He enjoys the food and participates in all of the activities because he loves being with the group. Whatever Dad needs, the staff is always there to provide it promptly and professionally, with compassion, and keeps us updated whenever there is anything we need to know. We never have to worry. We know that he is getting the best possible care. There is nothing I would wish them to improve upon. They routinely provide a stellar environment with stellar care. Dad told me he could never have imagined that a place like this actually existed. Neither could we, but I’m so grateful that we found them.

- Special Comment: In the fall of 2016, Commonwealth House opened its doors to the families of Rhode Island! Not quite assisted living, and not quite home care. We call it a “Care Home”…a residence, in a residential neighborhood, where a small group of seniors resides and receive all of the care and amenities of assisted living in a home-like setting. We set out to create a place with all of the comfort, safety, and hospitality of traditional assisted living, without the overwhelming size and institutional feel. We have put our heart and soul into creating Commonwealth House. It is a place that seamlessly combines hospitality and upscale living with care that is centered on the person and the family. We are confident your senior loved one will know they are home when they walk through the doors Commonwealth House!

Commonwealth assisted living has been the best choice for my mother in law to make. The faculty provide her meals and manage all her medications daily. She has her privacy with her spacious room to watch TV or read or just relax. The dining area is a nice place for the resident to have their meals and converse. There are two gathering areas where residents can correspond with each other or watch television (especially movie night her favorite). There are activities like crafting, game nights, optional spiritual gathering. There is a nice outdoor sitting area. Working with Mandi and her staff has been effortless. The residents get the one on one attention they need and don't get lost in the shuffle like the bigger facilities. The Commenwealth Assisted Living facility is very homey and welcoming.

This facility is a home environment. Very quint and a smaller community of residents. I am very happy that my mom is here. Unfortunately she could no longer live on her own. But this is like living at home but with 24 hour care. She is still independent and her room is private. Mandi is always on hand for any questions or concerns that I may have. I sleep better at night knowing that she is cared for. Thank you Commonwealth House!

My mom could no longer live alone. A friend whose mother used to live here highly recommended it to me. She was completely right. Mom is well cared for and looked after. The staff helped her settle in and feel comfortable. She experiences a good mix of social time and quiet. Her room is the perfect size for her and she was able to bring her favorite recliner from home. The patio area is so lovely. I am so glad for the peace of mind that Commonwealth provides.

My mom has been a resident for almost a year. She absolutely loves the staff and the family environment. She enjoys the food, staff and events. She can balance her interactive time and private time which makes her happy, She really enjoys staying at the Commonwealth house as we know this was the right choice for her... and probably would be a good choice for your loved ones.

My mom is at the Commonwealth House Assisted Living, and it's a beautiful place. It's a home that's been converted into assisted living. It's very home-like and doesn't have the atmosphere of an institution. Each resident has their own bedroom and bathroom. There's common areas for people to watch TV, a fireplace, a common kitchen, and they have a chef that comes in to make the meals. They do a family style eating. There's a lovely patio in the back with tables and chairs where they can sit outside and enjoy the weather. It is owned and run by a couple who care for the place and just hire help to come in. It's very, very nice. The nice thing about it is that the staff all know the residents personally because there's so few of them. There's only about eight residents. We know the staff real well too. It's a very, very personal experience. For their activities, they have a flower arranger that comes in. There are also singers and craft things to do. It just becomes difficult now because there's only a few residents and my mom is looking for a little more socialization.

My grandmother stays here and the staff goes above and beyond to help our family out. She just turned 100 and they did a great job hosting a celebration for her during the pandemic when we couldn't be there in person.

Commonwealth House is great. Mandi and Graham care for everyone as family and they provide a home atmosphere that makes Commonwealth a rare treasure and comfort during times that can be difficult and challenging. Excellence at this level only happens through vision and commitment, and Commonwealth House clearly has it, offering a heartfelt and expert touch to make life good for those who make their home here. They go the extra mile, with a thoughtfulness that is uncommon, and with a careful and well-informed approach to each person's needs and circumstances.

I highly recommend Commonwealth House Assisted Living to anyone who is looking for a small-scaled way of living with all the comforts of home. So if you are looking for an assisted living community where you are truly cared for and more than just a number, than this is definitely the assisted living home for you. Owners Graham and Mandi went far beyond what anyone could have expected when we made the decision to move our mom from her home to the Commonwealth House. We honestly thought it was too good to be true to have found such a place for our mom to go after living at her own home for over 50 years. Graham and Mandi have left no detail unturned when it comes to the property- both inside and out. They want every one of their residents to feel like they are living in their own homes with the added piece of mind knowing they are surrounded by a qualified, professional caring staff that treat them as if they were their own family members. Graham and Mandi are remarkable owners who are extremely hands on and attentive to each resident’s care, happiness and overall well being. Even in these most trying times, they have gone above and beyond in keeping the residents connected with their families while ensuring the highest degree of health and safety of every resident.

Very caring and dedicated owners and staff. I know that my family member is well cared for based on her feedback. The owner, Mandi, is always available to address any needs or questions, which is extremely helpful during this time (COVID-19). They have gone above and beyond to keep all of the residents safe!

The small size of the facility makes it feel like a family homelike setting. There are always creative activities going on to keep residents engaged and in contact with their family during the COVID crisis. The small size and family atmosphere makes it feel like home.

If you are looking for a homelike atmosphere, with personalized care in a beautiful home and a close knit community, then you will love the Commonwealth House. As a medical professional, I wanted to help my mom to feel as independent as she could while still getting the amount of care that she needed. I also wanted her to have socialization and activities that matched her lifestyle that she had been used to when she was living on her own. She loved living at The Commonwealth House. She built relationships with the staff as well as the other residents and really felt a part of the House. I lost my mom in April to her failing heart. But I have so many fond memories of my mom enjoying her time with her friends and second family at Commonwealth House I am so happy we found the Commonwealth House in Warwick.

My husband has been a resident at Commonwealth house since September of 2018. I searched and searched for a facility for him and this one is more than perfect. The staff are loving and caring and his well-being is their first priority. The homey atmosphere cannot be praised enough by me. He is part of their "family" and is treated as such with love. After comparing many facilities the Commonwealth house became my first choice. And in addition to that their attention to the details of his medical needs is amazing. I know he is safe and in the best of hands. If I am in the situation where I need to be in a similar environment I will go there without a doubt.

Commonwealth House extremely welcoming and family friendly. Every time I bring my son to visit his great grandmother, we are always warmly greeted by staff and residents alike. I love that Commonwealth House is a small facility because it really feels like a home and everyone gets to really know one another. I cannot recommend Commonwealth highly enough and am grateful a place like this exists for my family.

Commonwealth House is as close to staying at home as you will find in a place - there is nothing "institutional" or "facility" like. The owners and staff are all involved with the residents well being and happiness. My mother lives with us and stayed at Commonwealth House while we were away. She was taken care of and made to feel at home by the staff and other residents that live there full time. There was always a selection at meal time and she totally enjoyed visits by the dog. The house is very welcoming with common space rooms and private bedrooms so you can be as involved or quiet as you want throughout the day. My mother's stay at Commonwealth House was great and we plan on a return visit when we are away the next time.

Have other elderly relatives living in other facilities, this is by far the best. My Dad loves it there, feels safe, secure and most of all feels that the staff really cares for him and his needs. Best place I have been to.and I have been to at least a dozen

I can't believe that such a perfect solution exists for safe, happy and healthy assisted living for loved ones. Mandi and Graham have created a warm and loving home that offers seniors an alternative to traditional facilities. I was so impressed by the balance between private space and areas that residents could socialize at their own will. When I visited, someone was reading in the cozy library, two more were watching tv in one of the lounge areas and several were gathered with the chef in the kitchen baking. We were so impressed that the setup respects the residents ability to decide what they want to do and when they want to do it. Finally a great option that not only provides a safe environment, but also joy.

Commonwealth House is a little gem nestled in a residential neighborhood in Warwick. My husband just happened upon it one day as he was in the neighborhood and told me about it. My sister who suffers from early onset Alzheimers was staying with us when we learned about the Commonwealth House and decided to take a tour. We were immediately greeted with a warm and engaging owner and staff and were impressed by the cleanliness and quaint living arrangements that offer two common rooms with "cushy" furniture, fire places and large screen TV's (for movie nights). The kitchen is a place where residents gather and to sit and converse, share stories and play cards and various other games. Chef Adam is a delight, funny and entertaining, you can tell that he really loves the residents and they love his cooking! Many of the rooms overlook a large backyard with a swimming pool and cabana, tennis court, and large patio for the outside activities and barbecuing. The staff is very attentive to the needs of each resident and goes to great lengths to insure their comfort, happiness and security during their stay. The house is so close that I am able to visit almost daily and have been invited many times to stay and enjoy dinner with the residents. I am grateful to have found a place where my sister can engage with others and not be isolated. Commonwealth House is a wonderful home for your loved one.

The Commonwealth House is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are bright, cheerful and spacious and extremely clean. The kitchen is open, bright and inviting, with views of the backyard. The common rooms are beautifully furnished with comfortable furniture and big screen TV's. The backyard yard is beautifully landscaped, with a pool, tennis court, cabana and a large patio for barbecues. Its an inviting place for families to visit, and a swing set for the little ones to enjoy. The Commonwealth House is not a facility it's a home a warm comfortable secured place to live. The Staff are welcoming, friendly and make you feel like family. I would have peace of mind knowing my loved one was living there.
