The reason we picked Capitol Ridge at Providence for dad was that they had an onsite geriatric doctor so he wouldn't have to leave to get any medical care. The memory care unit he's in is very clean and nice. The staff seems to be caring. They seem to have all of the services that my dad needed. So it seems like the right place for him. You can have either a single room or a double room. He's in the double room with two single beds in it, enough space for two single beds, two bureaus, two nightstands, and one chair. There is a garden area that they use in the warmer weather. The staff is pleasant and attentive. They have a lot of activities.

I liked the Capitol Ridge at Providence itself. One of the facts that I liked the best was that they have their own staff, that they don't use an agency. That was a real plus to me. The staff seemed to be very nice. The rooms were nice. It was a good size.

I was able to visit Capitol Ridge at Providence. It was on par with the other place I toured, the amenities there were great, and close to everything. The problem that I had was it was too far for my mother to travel, so she wanted to be closer to home. The overall tour was wonderful, the staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, on-point with all that they were doing, and very attentive. They had a gym, they had a church, and they had awesome food set up. They had all kinds of activities on and on and on.

My tour of Capitol Ridge at Providence was very informative. I toured their facilities, it was a nice place. My only drawback is the actual location of the facility which is in downtown Providence, it's not an ideal location to go visiting. The rooms were very nice, it was clean, they had nice facilities and good food. They sent me home with a nice loaf of cranberry bread. They had dining halls and different types of rooms that were available they did trips, they have activities in-house, and physical therapy that comes in. They do doctor appointments, so they'll bring your family member to an appointment if you are not able to. Everybody I met on my tour was smiling and happy, I haven't met a single person that wasn't friendly or smiling. The food I had there was very good and they had a nice menu. Everything was nice, it's just the drive to get there. The grounds were nice, but the area around their grounds I didn't care for.

I toured Capitol Ridge at Providence. The facility was very nice, it was all new. They had a separate memory center and the apartments were nice. The staff was very knowledgeable, they answered all my questions and they were very empathetic. They understand the plight of the caregivers when it comes to a family member that's got dementia in later stages, so they were very understanding. The rooms were nice, clean. The memory center just has studio apartments, and they showed me one of the smaller ones and one of the bigger ones, and they were both brand new. They both have nice views of the campus areas. They said they have activities and a lot of music people coming in. They had a nice restaurant area and there was a common area with a TV and a piano. There was some kind of activity being led by one of the staff members for the memory folks.

We liked Capitol Ridge at Providence. I just didn't like the area it was in. It was a bit further away from our house, but it was nice and clean, and the people were friendly. There's no reason I don't want mom there. They were great. They were doing an arts and crafts activity when we got there. They were playing a kind of a mind game to keep their minds going like a word game. They seemed to be having a good time. Everybody looked like they were smiling. Everybody was good there. It was a little bit older inside and they're in the process of remodeling it, so it's good to see that they were keeping up with things. The rooms were nice. The staff members we met were very friendly.

Capitol Ridge at Providence was very nice. We liked it a lot. It was clean and did not smell like a hospital or nursing home. The staff was immediately friendly as we walked in. They were doing a raffle (which was very nice), and the grounds were pretty when we pulled in. They were still in the process of doing the landscaping and powerwashing the building, but the dining area was beautiful. It looked more like a restaurant-style chalet than a cafeteria style (which was a plus). Lucy was very helpful and friendly. She was patient and was respectful. She was cognizant of my mom's situation as we toured the place.

I toured Capitol Ridge at Providence. I was very impressed with them. I liked them very much because it was very homey. There were a lot of people. I liked the unit that my sister would be in, but she is a two-person transfer, and they can't accept her. I liked the community very much. It was very homey. There were residents walking in the corridor. I just liked the whole feeling about the place. Everything was fine. I was very pleased with it.

We will be moving my grandmother next month into Capitol Ridge at Providence. It's very clean, it's good, the staff was nice, and it's affordable. They actually call it independent living, but it matches what we were looking for, which is assisted living, so they call it independent, but it is actually assisted.

Find another facility. Management is unwilling to return calls to family members. They have sent my father to the hospital twice and the hospital calls me asking why. They need beds for people that are really sick.

Capitol Ridge at Providence was nice. The staff I talked to was good, but we didn't see a whole lot of working staff members. They provided food, activities, and laundry service. It was a pretty facility.

Capitol Ridge was great and very attentive, and they take care of my father’s needs. His room is adequate and clean. They have daily exercise and entertainment that comes in.

We looked at Capitol Ridge, but it’s really a bit much for my father when it comes to assisted living. It’s like living the rest of your life out on a Love Boat. It is too much. My father is 83, not very active, and certainly wouldn’t have taken advantage of most of what was available to him there. He’ll probably spend most of his time in his room or somewhere else watching TV. It wasn’t the most appropriate place for him. The amenities are beautiful. Like I said, it was like walking onto a cruise ship. It’s a beautiful place with lots of activities and lots of things going on.

Capitol Ridge was very nice and very clean. And the workers, the CNA’s, and the nurses seemed very dedicated to the residents. Them paying attention to the residents was the main thing.

They were very helpful at Capitol Ridge at Providence, and I thought it was a nice place, but I just preferred the other one. The apartments were a little smaller too. Also, Capitol Ridge is more assisted living whereas the other facility offered my parents an opportunity to start off with independent living.

Mom had her respite care at Capitol Ridge, and it was very nice. I liked it because everyone was very friendly, and it was beautiful. The staff was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room that she was in was very nice. It had its own bathroom and kitchenette. I ate there and the food was great. They had activities like knitting, shopping, and they had a piano player that came in. It was in a nice neighborhood. It really was a nice place.

I find Capitol Ridge nice. It has a lot of grounds around it and the food is quite good. But I didn't like the rooms.

We chose Capitol Ridge because it was recommended by Caring.com and somebody called and gave me the details. Then, someone from Capitol Ridge came and checked my mom if they could provide her needs. The staff were very friendly, kind and they knew everybody's name. The rooms were very big and spacious. They had different activities like field trips, concerts, physical fitness programs, and many more. There was also a room where they watched sports programs, a library where they were taught how to use the computer. The food was also very good and she liked it very much. My mother was very happy there.

They went out of their way to provide any assistance to my parents to help with their transition from their home to assisted living. I can't say enough good things about their staff both before, during the transition and now months later. My Mom is now in their Harbor facility and she absolutely loves it.

I had a very bad experience with Capitol Ridge. I was assured by one of the personnel that I had an apartment available. The staff was supposed to call me and I waited for a month and a half but they never called. Later on when I called back, they didn't answer; and even if I left a voicemail, they never called back. After some time, they said I've been put on a waiting list. They're just incompetent. If they treated me that way, how would they treat anybody else that they worked with? The place is absolutely gorgeous though. It had a television room and a computer room. It also had a nice dining room. They had individual apartments with individual bathrooms.
