Mom has moved into Blenheim-Newport. Everybody that I met has been very helpful, kind, and caring. The other thing is that I have had friends who have had their parents go there and also friends who needed assisted living. I know that there have been situations where one of the family members needed memory care and the spouse, rather than be separated, actually moved into assisted living. It is very close to where we live and almost across the street from where I went to high school. I didn't have to drive far to get there. They have been great at handling her in terms of meeting her needs as a blind person. The door has a plaque on it and not only has raised lettering on it for people who can't see, but it also has Braille. They made her feel comfortable. She didn't want to go there at first, but since she's been there, she's settled in, and there's a lot of things that they do with the people who are there for memory care. They have a chorus. They all sing together. It's more like a glee club. I feel it's worked out well so far. I have eaten there on more than one occasion. They have a restaurant and you can go there and have a meal. The memory care facility meals are served within a locked space so they don't wander around and leave. The food, at least in the restaurant area, was good. The facility has been there for quite a while. They're repainting areas and replacing some of the molding around doors in the halls. They're very good about letting you know that they're doing it and why they're doing it. In general, it's a very nice facility. They have activities. I know that they take them out on trips, they go shopping, they have arts and crafts, and they have this woman who comes in and gets them all singing, which is great therapy. The cost is no different than any of the other facilities I visited. For the price, it was cheaper. I'm paying for a single room for my mother that is cheaper than what a double room was at those other places.

Blenheim-Newport is very good for my mom. She feels worthwhile doing things with other people; they give her jobs to do, so she feels like she's giving back. Her furniture is there, so it gives her security that things are still sort of the same. She has a one-bedroom with a galley kitchen, living room, a bedroom with plenty of storage, and a bathroom. It's sort of a hotel room. The grounds are very nice with the flowers and trees in bloom, and the pricing is competitive.

Blenheim-Newport is an excellent place. He is in a small apartment with a living room, bedroom, and kitchen. It is in an suburban setting. The thing that stood out was the kindness of the staff. With regards to their activities, they have a lot, but it does not apply to my father. Their food was very good.

Blenheim-Newport was too close to the city, and it seems to be terrible in cities these days. It was excellent, and the rooms were very nice and immaculate. There's nothing wrong with the place.

Blenheim-Newport was excellent. There were no old or disabled people sitting around in the hallways; everybody was vibrant. The place was immaculately clean, the different function rooms were excellent, and the restaurant looked great. My mother and I talked to the patrons there, and they just gave rave reviews. The apartments had kitchens. The facility had a huge cardboard calendar for the entire month on display on every floor. They did a lot of excursions. A lot of things were going on there, and they would take people out to other places. It was constant activity. Each day was full of activities. This facility is the closest one to me, literally five minutes away. It has a great reputation.

My father will be moving into Blenheim-Newport. The staff is very accommodating and efficient. The living quarters are spacious and comfortable. The dining area has many tables like a restaurant. There are social activities going on.

Blenheim was a very nice, homey place, and it’s convenient for me. The director is very nice and working hard to help me, to figure this all out. I am kind of leaning forward to that one because it’s not so profit, so I think it is more affordable for me. The rooms were really nice, you could bring your own furniture if you want. They have nice grounds, a little courtyard, and everything so that they could go outside. The one I ate in is not the one that he would be in because they have their own kitchen and dining room in the last unit. They used smart eating, they have a couple of choices, and the clients pick which one they want to eat and they have the table set; the plates are bright red so that they could see better. The food was good. They usually have choices, and I know they have a garden.

The facility was nice and the staff was very attentive when I took a tour. The rooms were spacious. We had coffee in the dining room and it was a comfortable area. The whole place is also neat and clean. I think my mom would like this facility.
