My uncle is in a nursing home down in Uniontown, it's called Uniontown Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. They're really good with me. My uncle, on the other hand, isn't too happy, but I think that's because he's locked down due to Governor Wolf's restrictions. His room looks basic. The outside is nice, it looks like they have nice lawn care. That's all I saw since I had to go into a corner cubbyhole type of thing to actually see him during window visits. I talk to my uncle regularly and he says the food was cold; he likes everything scalding hot though. They don't have activities now, they've been on lockdown since someone tested positive. They monitor his medicines because he has diabetes and complications with that. He's also an amputee. He only has one leg. When we drop stuff off for my uncle I come in contact with one nurse at the door and they're usually polite. He has a case manager there and that person has contacted me twice and had conversations with me. They seem polite and my uncle hasn't really complained about them.

My great aunt is a resident of this facility. Due to numerous health issues my aunt became unable to live by herself, and was referred to Golden Living. During the past few months my aunt has had several instances of deteriorating health problems that have required hospitalization. Each time she recieves hospital care she recovers and becomes more of her old self. At Golden Living I feel she is being over-medicated and under cared for, thus requiring the repeated hospitalizations. This facility is currently being reviewed on these issues.
