A relative is a patient there and the care has been really good in these difficult times. They are very proactive regarding the care and well being of their patients. The food is well prepared, generous portions and they work with special diets. The staff is professional and knowledgeable no matter what questions are asked, whether health, therapy or business related. Everyone is always very friendly, helpful and willing to take the time to discuss any situation. They have a range of activities and encourage the patients to be outdoors in the courtyard in nice weather. They work to accommodate a family's needs whether it's visiting hours or other requests.

I would never go back to this place. It was not clean the food was very bad. I had to sign myself out because they almost give a break down.

The Gardens at Tunkhannock seems good. We can't visit; we can only talk to my dad on the phone. He said they are treating him really well, and they are feeding him well. The only thing is, they don't have too many activities going on because they don't want to get people in groups. He said that the nurses or caregivers talk to him and everything. He's there for rehab, but we don't want him as a nursing home resident; we would rather have him in assisted living. The only trouble we have had is that they have three wings with a portable phone for each wing, and whenever we call, it's very hard to talk to him because someone else is using the phone, or someone else is calling them. Or when they are busy taking care of the residents no one answers. That's the only problem I've had with them. The staff was very good to us while we were there. We were only in their atrium; that's all we saw because we can't go in because of COVID. They feed him three times a day with snacks, and he said the food is good.

I stayed at The Gardens (Golden Livingcenter) for a month. It was very good. They had physical therapy and had nurses 24/7. They took care of you pretty well there. The caregivers were very nice and very helpful. The grounds were very nice. They were socially active with all the patients and had things going on. They had a Valentine's dance that was very nice. The activities director was really good. They needed a bigger PT room, though.

I stayed at the Golden Living Center when I was recovering from an accident. I was in a double room there. The staff was fine. They offered more personal services. It was clean.

Golden Living has cared for two of my relatives in the past two years. The first being my father in law who did pass away while he was there. The second who has been there for the past six months. It is hard to find a place where the staff really cares at all times. The provider of the facility is very good at answering any and all questions they do a very good job there. The staff is where you really learn a lot about a place.Golden living staff is always friendly but most important they really take care of the people there. It is hard enough to put a loved one in a place like this but if you need to Golden Living is the place i would choose. The care and overall patience the hole staff has truly means to me that the well being of everyone in volved is taken in to account. With all this in mind it makes it a little easier to leave a loved one in there care.
