My wife has advanced Alzheimer’s and was at Juniper for five weeks of therapy after a stroke that severly disabled the right side of her body. The staff there was amazing in their abilities and professionalism. They have caring people at all levels; from the lady who did my wife’s laundry right up to the floor attendants and nurses. Their therapists showed unbelievable skill working with her loss of the use of part of her body. Even more important, it was obvious the therapists really cared about the people they worked with. By the time my wife came home she had regained partial use of her leg and arm. I have no hesitation in recommending Juniper to anyone who needs their services.

We visited Juniper Village at Brookline. The place was very, very clean and hospitable, and the room was awesome. If I could live there, I would. The staff members who gave me the tour were both extremely nice, Christine and another lady that's right above her. They were extremely nice and very helpful, and they answered all of our questions. We saw the dining areas. One of the reasons why he decided against it is because, with him living there, he'd only have one meal provided for him and he'd have to provide his other two meals. And for the amount of money that they wanted him to dish out, he was expecting at least three meals a day, not just one. We observed some of the residents in the dining area playing games and playing on the piano, and everybody seemed to be very happy there. And I transport people from Juniper all the time and they're happy with the place.

I saw both assisted and independent sides at Juniper Village at Brookline. It was very nice. I liked it better than the other place. It felt more like a community, more like living in an apartment (as opposed to clinical). The staff was great, and they have been following up with me. It's a much bigger facility, and there's a lot more outdoor space. They have all the amenities that you would need. They also would transport you to your appointments. They would let you have your car, and they have a policy where they clean off your car in the winter and stuff. They have a library, a gym, and a dining area. Even the assisted side just felt more independent.

My friend stayed at the Juniper Village at Brookline. She was at their assisted living but they couldn't decide on where they wanted her then they said she's better off elsewhere. She spent about a month there. It was very, very confusing. The stay was so short because they couldn't figure it out. Even the fellow with whom I signed the contract could not believe that they didn't keep her. He said, "We have every level of care". They said she needed too much to be on one side but she also didn't need the full care level on the other side so they asked me to find somewhere else for her. I was shocked and so was the guy. He called the social worker and the social worker said that's what they decided on. I can't judge their care but I know they were expensive and they weren't clear on what they were doing. Full care is over 10 grand a month. She was there for such a short time, but I know my experience wasn't good, so I wouldn't give them a high rating. The gentleman that I was dealing with there was good but I didn't get to know too much of the other staff. He's the fellow who welcomes you in and says you sign all the papers and everything. The physical appearance of the community is fine. I put her on one side of the facility and I thought she was there for a week. It turned out she was only there for 3 hours because they brought her back to the full side. After all, that's where I would have to pay them the most.

Juniper Village at Brookline was absolutely beautiful, but it was like a maze to get around and they had different buildings. It wasn't that bad, but within the building, it was very hard. I was lost when the lady was taking us around, so I knew my father-in-law would be wandering around aimlessly, but their room was beautiful. It was a nice size and they had two dining rooms, which were both very beautiful. They had two dining rooms because of the number of residents that they have. We passed so many elderly residents and the lady knew every single person by name. I was very impressed by that. The dining rooms were beautiful. They had a little coffee shop, too. They were the best equipped as far as medical care. They had 24-hour nurse care and a doctor who worked exclusively for them. They had all the different kinds of medical machinery. As best as they could, they did not want to take the residents out of that place and take them to the hospital. So, they had everything that they could to assess them right on site. I was also very impressed by that.

My Mother was in the assisted living side for over 2 years and transitioned to the skilled care side. The skilled care side is 5 stars from management to staff. Excellent caring side. Hard to imagine anything better. The assisted living side was also excellent from a caring and daily staff side. The management and front office help on the Inn side was slightly below bad. Response time to normal questions was weeks or months. In fact the manager ducked out of sight when my sister can in to clean out my Mothers belongings. We asked for help in getting my Mother's long term care insurance to kick in and they were not helpful, and when they did respond the answers were almost like it was for another person. There was no written long term care program for her and after we asked multiple times for one we got one but it was was well after she had moved to assisted living. The daily staff was tremendous and the facility is great. If that management was under my control there would be at least one person redoing their resume.

I visited Juniper Village at Brookline for my mom, and it was really lovely. I think that it was attractive and affordable. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. They had good space, good light, were updated, and very clean. I only got to see the model room because of Covid restrictions, but that was very clean. I could really only look at the model room and just a little bit of look at it from the outside, but it seemed attractive with lots of space.

My mother and my stepfather moved into Juniper Village at Brookline. It's been good, and the only issue we had was communication, which was poor. The care has been good, but they assessed my mom as needing a higher level of care as of December 11 which doubled her bill, and never informed us. That was upsetting, but they called us and apologized. They were in respite, and now are in assisted living. They have different dining rooms, they have one where they serve alcohol with dinner, they have a bistro, they had a room where they had a bunch of snacks placed there. They had an outdoor area. The nursing staff communication has been good. It's the business office thing that's the problem.

Juniper Village is beautiful. Just about anybody would want to live there, especially if you can afford it. For someone that has to go in there, I think it's a very nice place. We peeked into one of the regular rooms and it was very nice. It may be a little bigger, but not by too much. The woman who took us around was quite nice and informative. We saw the menu too. They have pay-per-menus that you can order from, and that's one of reasons you're paying so much.

My dad stayed at Juniper Village in residential care before we moved him because he needed skilled nursing care. They had very good people. The people, the nurses, the cleanliness, and just the whole nine yards were exceptional.

Juniper Village was comforting assisted place. They were all very professional and very friendly. It was a beautiful place. I liked the way the dining room was set up. It was a lot walking in the area for some people that might have a little bit of a problem walking, but the facility itself was very clean. It was very homey. They posted all the activities that they do, and I know they do outings. The rooms were beautiful. You could have a roommate, but there were a lot of singles, and those were what we were looking for. We saw a lot of single ones, and they were put together really well. I thought everything was great there.

Brookline was okay. Their facility looked great. They had a great and relaxed atmosphere. The community was great. Their activities were wonderful. They played bridge. I just wasn't pleased with the nursing staff there. I ran into some problems with a couple of staff because they were not being forthright to the family with what the medications they were giving to a patient. I don't even know if that nurse was still there, but I do know that there were some instances that there were charges made on the insurance for the medication that a patient never received. My uncle lived there and he loved it. They had an Alzheimer's unit that I really appreciated.
