Marywood Heights is a very nice community. It's clean. The nurses and the attendants are all very pleasant and helpful. My mother-in-law had some medical problems and the nurses have been right on top of it, taking care of that and seeing if she needs to go to the hospital or call the doctor. She is a Catholic, so they have Catholic mass twice a week. They have a beautiful chapel that she enjoys going to. There are big family rooms if you want to have your family come over and meet up with you. The staff was very good and very accommodating. If you have a concern, they address it, and the care has been good. She currently has a roommate, but I know they have private rooms, and she's on the waitlist for the private room. The rooms are very simple. I think they're small, but she doesn't spend a whole day in the room. They have a lot of activities for the residents. So, she's out playing bingo or watching shows. They have bowling and they have types of little games and stuff that they play with them. There are screened-in porches that they can sit out on, like a sunroom kind of thing. She's on the third floor, so they have one on each end of the building. We're very happy that she ended up there and they've built a good facility for her. She seemed to like the meals as well.
