My mom has moved into The Seasons of Saxonburg. It is very nice. It is clean and very professional. They have a beauty salon, they have activities, and there's a courtyard. You can take your loved ones out to the courtyard and share a meal with them. There's also another side patio with a couple of tables and chairs. I've had some interaction with the staff, but not really with a lot of them, just with the coordinator, and she did well. It's very good for the money. They have a flat fee. Even if her care goes up, it's all one fee. They get three meals a day. My mom is in a private room. It's large for a private room.

The Seasons of Saxonburg is big. It's an old mansion that was well taken care of and kind of pretty. There were some features in it from the old mansion and you can see some of the woodwork and stuff. The rooms were big and nice. The staff was extremely helpful. She went over all the details. She wasn't pushy. She didn't try talking us into anything. She was very clear about the costs. They were not all-inclusive. The dining area was nice. It was an old mansion dining room kind of. The place was clean. The rooms were bigger and bright.

I had a short tour of The Seasons of Saxonburg. I just went by myself. It was a little too far off. It was like 30 to 45 minutes away, and I wasn't impressed. When I went in there, there was a strong odor. It wouldn't have been a thing if it were just like in one area, and I know these things happen, but it was through the entire facility. That was the main thing that kind of turned me off. The staff was fine. The person that was supposed to originally give me the tour scheduled an appointment with me but wasn't at work that day. So I had to get on a tour with someone else, and they are not normally the tour guide. The rooms were all kind of the same. It seemed halfway decent. But the odor alone, I couldn't get past it, because it was so strong, so I didn't stay long in there. I saw both a room and the dining area. I saw everything, but I walked through it quickly. They're okay. They're very standard as far as I'm concerned.

I toured The Seasons of Saxonburg for my friend. It seemed to have a hospital type atmosphere, not a homey atmosphere. The place was clean, and the people seemed OK. They were going to put her in with a 100 year old lady that couldn't hear and that didn't sit with me. The rooms were nice. I just saw people in the lobby watching TV.

We did a tour of The Seasons of Saxonburg. They did activities and exercises with them; they walked every day. They had a designated dining room, and then when they were finished with the renovations, they were going to have a screened-in porch on the nice days where they could eat. All the rooms were private. They were small, but they were all private rooms with private bathrooms. I had no concerns when I went through there, and I would be fine with my mom going in there if that's the way it worked out. I only met the director who gave me the tour. She was very nice. The staff seemed friendly and they smiled, but I didn't interact with them.

My mother-in-law moved into The Seasons of Saxonburg. We chose it because the lady that runs it over there is extremely helpful, very nice, and the remodel that's going on over there. The remodel, certainly the manager over there, goes above and beyond as far as making things happen, and the price and the location, a combination of a few things are why we chose it. She hasn't complained about the food. It's an older facility. Inside they've done a fabulous job, it's in the middle of remodelling, but I don't know what it will look like when it's done.
