My cousin is in ManorCare Health Services-Pittsburgh now. The place smells really bad and there are holes in the walls of the bedroom. It's not a good place to be. There's limited staff there. They don't come around, and he just sits in his room. They don't have activities. They have one room with some chairs in it and there's not even a television in there, but there's an aide that sits in the room. We just brought in a TV. They take them down for physical therapy, but all they do is a couple of leg lifts and walk across the floor. The bathrooms are dirty. It's old and has a hospital atmosphere. They have a lot of doors in between to separate the corridors and it's very claustrophobic.

My mother stayed at this facility for two weeks in respite care whole I had a Knee replacement.I had family visit with her while I was unable to visit. Iwas told my mother was not well attended to, she was always wet because she is urinary incontinent and has alzheimers, she is unable to change herself,so the family member changed her.Family had to constantly request a meal because she was overlooked at mealtime.on the day of her discharge ,I called in advance, arrived at 1:00 to fond my mother in bed naked ,soaking wet. The bed pads were wet, she simply had a sheet over her. She had not been fed breakfast or lunch. The staff said since she didn't get up,they assumed she didn't want to eat,so she was left alone. My husband and I got her washed, dressed, packed up and out of there ASAP. I complained to the director, who said she would check into the matter and call me, she never did.
