My mother was at Windy Hill Village for a couple of years. She was getting along just fine, but she started forgetting everything, so it wasn't a place for her to be. They couldn't watch her, and they weren't supposed to watch her because it's an assisted living. The room was very nice and very adequate, but the bathroom and the shower were smaller. The nurses were topnotch and did above and beyond the call of duty, and so were the aides. I liked the facility, they had a nice big beautiful room, and they had a nice classy dining area. The cooks all knew what they liked and they knew everybody by name. They just didn't have a lot of activities for the people there. They're attached to a nursing home, so a lot of the activities that they do are associated with the nursing home and these people in assisted living aren't to that point yet. It's on top of a hill and if you don't have a car, you just don't get away if you don't have somebody come and get you. The staff was fabulous, the nurses, the cook, everybody treated all these patients like they were their relatives. She got everything that she needed, she had nursing care, people watching out for her, a decent room, good food, and people enjoyed being with her.

My mom is going to be in Windy Hill Village. It was very clean and very nice, and the people also seem really nice. The staff member we dealt with was Erin, she's very nice, and very helpful. The room is very nice and clean, we don't have to worry about a TV stand or a large bookcase because they have those. It can also be taken out if we have our own furniture, but we don't have those things, so she's able to use what's there and it's nice. We only got to meet the administrator or admission coordinator. There were some ladies there doing puzzles and different things, they also have chaplain services right onsite. They have other buildings for different stages of care, so there are a lot of buildings for your specific need. They have a nice outside patio, they have an in-house beauty salon, and activities. They have regular senior apartments, then they have assisted living, and they also have skilled care, so they have a three-tier facility as you need it.

My grandmother is newly residing at Windy Hill Village. Despite my concerns that this would be a difficult transition, the staff helped tremendously to make this as easy an adjustment as possible. Staff is friendly, courteous, polite and pleasant with my loved one. They are quick to respond to concerns expressed by family members and appear to be very willing to work cooperatively with family members. The rooms are bright, welcoming and clean. There are a variety of amenities that are advantageous, including a beautiful dining hall, snack room, tv/visiting room, activities room and many more. The grounds are kept beautifully with lovely hanging flowers and plenty of seats on a patio and courtyard. The activities staff are enthusiastic and inclusive of the guests and do a fun variety of stimulating activities and social outings which enable guests to feel connected to one another and increase their sense of well-being and happiness. My grandmother enjoys participating in these activities when she is able, She particularly loved a recent activity of making funnel cakes with other guests. Meals are nutritious and delicious and come with a variety of options, suited to individual tastes. Even the pickiest eater can find something they like to eat! Other services, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy are provided by knowledgeable staff, should the guest need those assistive therapies. Transportation services are available for those who wish to venture out into the surrounding community for shopping, beauty appointments or just to sightsee or visit a local park. Overall, Windy Hill Village is a thriving, happy place for those needing some or a lot of skilled care.
