My mom is currently at Sunrise Newtown Square. Jenna and her entire nursing staff are top notch! My mom is being well-cared for and we are pleased with the care she is receiving. Everyone knows your name from the front door throughout the building. Her PT and OT are both super professional and really care about mom's wellness. They listen to all of your needs and promptly address all and any concerns you have in a timely manner. We feel mom is safe here and looked after. Shout outs to Toni and her crew too! Everyone has been wonderful! The rooms are large and bright and the bathrooms are nice and wide to accommodate walkers, etc. Mom hasn't done much activities yet but hopefully will as she gets stronger. Very friendly staff, clean building and no offensive odors anywhere. Great safety protocol as well!

We visited the Sunrise of Newtown Square's assisted living. It was a nice place. I remember it having a walking path around the building and my parents liked it. The place is well-lit, clean, and well-staffed. The rooms were nice and efficient. Everybody was pleasant, too. I ran into a lot of the aides with the assisted living people. I also saw some people in the dining room. Everybody appeared to be doing their job well.

We liked Sunrise of Newtown Square. It was a nice facility. We saw both their standard care and their memory care. We liked that the facility was clean. It was very bright. There was a lot of natural light. It was a very recently built building. That was one of the reasons that it was recommended to us in the first place. The people were nice. The staff was friendly. Everyone that we passed greeted us. Everyone seemed kind. We only saw their showrooms, but the rooms themselves were pretty standard. They were clean and up-to-date. There were people out and about, and they were handing out freshly baked cookies in the lobby. To some degree, it's still going to be a hard situation where people aren't necessarily happy to be there, but it seemed like it was a healthy community aspect. We didn't try the food or see any, but we did walk through the dining area. It seemed clean, new, and bright. They had an activities calendar. They had a salon onsite. We were impressed. We saw them first, and then we saw a couple of other ones, and they set a bar that all the other ones weren't as nice as Sunrise was.

The common areas at Sunrise of Newtown Square were welcoming and homey. The person that I talked to has been very, very helpful. I've been communicating with him for the past week, and he has helped with the information. I went to the memory care and they were all very welcoming. They were doing some work, so I'm sure once the work is done, it would improve, but there was some construction going on.

Sunrise of Newtown Square was probably the nicest place I've seen. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were smaller, but they were clean and nice. The dining area and the patio at the back were nice. It was top-notch.

Sunrise of Newtown Square was nice, and was a little smaller. The cafeteria seemed good. They had a big room with a fireplace and a TV. When I went upstairs, on the second and third floors, they each had a little room with a big screen TV that you could come out of your room and watch something on. There's chairs set up there, too. The residents' rooms were very nice. They had three different options. They had a studio, a bigger studio, a one-bedroom, and all of them were great. I met Kevin and he was very nice. He's the administrator and he showed me those three different rooms that would be good for my brother. Since the building had three floors, you would have to use the elevator to get to some of the rooms. The grounds were nice. They had a small courtroom in the back. The facility was pushed back off from route 252, so it's not like you're right on 252. You're back a little ways, which was nice, and it's pretty quiet there.

Sunrise of Newtown Square was a little different. What I didn't like about it was that the carpet was old. The carpet was worn on their floor, they need to update that. I like how they can get food all day, if they want to go get coffee or something, it's there for them. They have a set of menus to order from. When you walk there, the cushions and the pillows and stuff on a chair were a little different from the one up in another facility. If you want to sit there, you wonder if you get up and if you're going to have something on you. It's better kept but needs to be a little updated. They have an exercise room. I don't remember seeing a pool. The staff was great, everyone I went to was very respectful, very nice, and helpful. They need to replace that carpet. The community is fine. It has more trees around it, you look out you might see a bear.

I toured Sunrise of Newtown Square. They were very nice. The director was nice. The rooms were fine. They had a walking trail and a garden. They had a library and a sitting area on each floor. It was like a gathering area with a TV and furniture for people to congregate there. The people were very nice, and the residents seemed happy. They were chatty there. The staff were nice and very friendly. The menu was fine, and they had some choices. They can order like in a restaurant. They had a garden. One of the residents actually planted a vegetable garden.

I visited Sunrise of Newtown Square. The facility was built very beautiful, and it's well-maintained. It's a pleasant atmosphere, and the rooms were very nice. It was a very nice place. The staff members were very accommodating, and even the person that answered the phone couldn't have been nicer. They were all very nice, very pleasant, and very nice to the residents that we met along the way.

We visited the Sunrise of Newtown Square. I like the location, the people we met, and the facility. We saw both assisted living and memory care. The staff was very knowledgeable, very helpful and there was nothing bad that I could say about them. They have plenty of activities and things to do. I also liked that they have a nice big picnic area out back that was private. They had a courtyard too. I'm not sure if it was a gym but they have exercises for the seniors to do and stuff like that. My parents don't want to move too far away from where they live right now and this was only about 15 minutes away. It would make it convenient if my mother still had to go to an appointment, she would be able to get there easily.

Sunrise of Newtown Square was homey. The residents seemed happy. The staff was friendly and kind. It was on rehabilitation, but it was clean. They have an arts and crafts room, and they have gardening. They told me about the programs and the amenities. They were doing rehabilitation.

We had a very nice tour of Sunrise of Newtown Square. Josh was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. He was great. The area was very, very nice, clean, and everything looked good. They had nice and suitable rooms too, but I think their residents seemed to be a little bit more on the nursing care side. They're a lot elderly and they needed more assistance, so they were not more activity geared kind of facility. My father is someone who still is pretty well on his own and I don't know if it would be a perfect fit for him. It was a very nice facility, but I just don't know that it would have suited our needs.

My experience with a staff member has been horrific! The level of unprofessionalism that has been allowed to continue is beyond disrespectful! Because she is the person that answers the front door and the phones during the week her very obnoxious manner and lack of consideration certainly has modified and disconnected some of our family members with the resident. The executive director is aware that we avoid the area when this staff member is there. There has been plenty of notice and time to address and fix this situation This issue required quick and decisive action to enable continuing visitation from families to the resident however unfortunately it still continues. This is unacceptable and directly effects the wellbeing mentally and physically of the resident.

Our tour at Sunrise of Newtown Square wasn't bad. We got there during dinner so there was food on the floor. But the director that ran the place was very lovely and professional, and she took us around to show us the place. The community was smaller than the others. It's not a good fit for my dad because it was kind of enclosed and not open. So I didn't get a good feel being in this place. The person who accommodated us during the tour was very good and very knowledgeable.

Sunrise of Newtown Square provides excellent resident care with a personal touch. My mother enjoyed her beautiful spacious room, activities and interaction with other residents in the warm clean environment of Newtown Square. From help with personal care, medication administration, daily activities and outings, each member of the healthcare team provided enthusiasm and put a smile on Mom’s face. I knew she was in the best possible place.

Sunrise of Newtown Square is absolutely gorgeous; it is perfect. It recaptures the past, and reminds the residents of happier days. Everything is beautiful and everything is well done. The staff member who assisted us was wonderful. She was impeccably dressed, and her grooming was excellent. She was very well-versed at what she was talking about. She was very good. She was an excellent representative for the company. The residents were playing a word game, which looked fun. It seemed like they were having a nice time; they were laughing.

My mother is a resident of Sunrise of Newtown Square Memory care. It was nice and clean, and some of the staff was generally very nice, especially the ones that have been there for a long time. The food in memory care is disgusting and different from the food downstairs, which is better. They give the patients a tremendous amount of sugar; I don't know if they're trying to kill them. They have a lot of activities downstairs, but if the memory care people doesn't have anybody to go downstairs with them, then they can't take advantage of the activities. The calendar is full every day, but unless I go and take my mom to them myself, she might not get to go.

Sunrise is nice, and the people care. The place is beautiful. The room has a small kitchen, the building is absolutely gorgeous, and the furniture and everything is in good shape and looks brand-new. The food was excellent. They have bingo, baking, and music; they have different things scheduled every week.

Sunrise of Newtown Square was very nice but also very expensive. There are some questions about some people who work there. They had nice rooms with a nice size -- 2-bedroom, 1-bedroom, efficiency, and studio. The food was OK.

I liked Sunrise. It was very nice. The person who accommodated me was very friendly and open. The rooms were very well designed. They had activities each day, and they had trips for those patients that were willing to go. I tasted some of the snacks they had out. It was good and fresh. They were fresh fruits and pastries. It was very clean, more so than some of the others that I had seen. I liked the community and the living environment. In fact, we were going to choose it for my mom, but she wanted to stay at home.

My friend has stayed at Sunrise Senior Living for a month. That was excellent. I've eaten there a few times and the food was very good. The overall pleasantness of the staff, the building itself, and the rooms were pretty upscale.

My grandmother is currently a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and we could not be happier with the care she receives there. My grandfather was also a resident before he passed away last year. Prior to his death, he suffered from dementia and was extremely mentally and physically ill. It was a difficult experience for my entire family and we would not have gotten through it without the wonderful staff at Sunrise, who became like family to us. They are so kind and patient, and each one of them has taken a personal interest in my grandparents. When my grandfather passed, many of his caretakers from Sunrise attended the funeral, which exemplifies their dedication and love for their patients. As far as the facilities go, my grandmother's room is very comfortable and extremely clean. The dining room looks like an upscale restaurant and the entire place is decorated very nicely, especially for the holidays! Since my grandmother cannot leave the facility, Sunrise always accommodates our large family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are so grateful for the care that my grandmother receives at Sunrise. The beautiful facility and amazing staff help put both the residents and their families at ease. It's a wonderful place!
