I was a patient at the care center. I was there for rehabilitation after a total knee. The staff, nurses and aides were friendly, caring and respectful towards me The rooms were clean. Granted they were short staffed but they got the job done. The food that I received was pretty good. I had physical therapy every day while there. They may have pushed me to do my very best but had they not done that I wouldn't be where I am now. Very thankful that they did. The activities director made it a point to stop by my room and introduce herself to me and provided me with a schedule of upcoming activities. I enjoyed talking with all who work there. I'm very thankful that I could do my rehab there with them.

My mother went there in February for rehab due to Covid. They were short staffed but the nurses and most of the aides did their best. Food was so-so. Had to appeal them saying my mother plateaued with her therapy which we won the appeal. Had to go to the Director of Nursing because we felt she wasn't getting one of her medications as she should which resulted in her being hospitalized. In another instance my mother was being taken by ambulance to the hospital (no glasses on and no hearing aides in) the administration had her sign a paper to give up her bed. She was 96 years old and being taken to the hospital because she "was Off". I being power of attorney was never notified. They called me for everything else but something important as that I was never called. When she was to be released from hospital she had nowhere to go back to. DON't trust the administration. I feel they retaliated because of the previous problems.

They are very understaffed. If it weren’t for us going there every meal every day, our loved one would never have gotten to eat. Our loved one could not feed themself or speak when they arrived at the care facility after being sent there. There was one staff aide, I requested that she NEVER return to our loved ones room. I just think with working at a care facility you should have compassion and care about the people you are attending to, they have delicate bones, they are people too, they are there because they need your help, and she just didn’t care at all. This is the review for Jameson Care Center New Castle, Pa.

my 94 yr old mother was there for about a month for physical therapy. She enjoyed it. The staff was great. She loved the food. She loved the therapy. Nice and clean.

The facility struggles with being understaffed, yet the staff were truly wonderful. They were professional and kind and caring. Have no complaints about any one staff. We were satisfied with the care, treatment and greatly appreciate the atmosphere provided. Any issues with staffing occurs everywhere. What stands out the most was the cleanliness of the patients, patients bedding and attire. The dusting doesn't always get done, but the laundry and the patient are given great care. For over 2 years they cared for my mother and truly appreciate their service 🙏.

This place is horrible. My mother was in the rehad for 7 days. The rehad people were wonderful but the regular care was a joke. Not enough care and the whole time my mom was there they never cleaned her bathroom or room. The dust was unbelievable. I had to change her sheets because no one else did. The food was gross. There were very few aids or nurses and you were lucky if you got a good one. They never checked on my mother and she had to wait a half hour after ringing a nurse bell. She has heart issues she could have been dead in that time. Instead of worrying about redueing the outside work on the staff on the inside.

The rooms at Jameson Care Center were a lot nicer. They were semi-private, but there was a concrete wall that divides the patients. It was bright, cheery, and pleasant.

A family friend was a resident of this facility for years. When she passed away, Jameson Care Center told the family that they did not have the number to the funeral home to make arrangements. The family was flying home and dealing with the loss of their mother. The care center did not even have the decency to arrange the funeral services, stating, "We do not have the number." Disrespectful and heartbreaking. Will never send a family member here.

When my parents where there the biggest problem was not enough help. If an individual need special care it was not there

I would not recommend this place at all. They hire people who are not credible. The care was not good. The staff was unfriendly and uncooperative.
