My mom stayed at MapleShade Meadows Senior Living on a respite. She did well there. She wasn't there that long. She had a couple of confused moments, but they took good care of her. It was good. There were always a lot of activities going on. People seemed to be happy. They were very attentive to me when I had questions. They were fully staffed, too. The food was adequate. For activities, they had chair yoga, trivia, and games.

So my uncle had to be placed in senior living after we just couldn't take care of him at our house. The admissions staff made the transition so easy. My uncle has made many friends here at Maple Shade and looks forward to all the activities. The staff is so genuine. I couldn't have chosen a better path for my dear uncle.

My mother has moved into Maple Shade Meadows Senior Living. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is very clean. The rooms are nice and nice sized; they have single and double rooms. It's a large dining area, and the food is excellent. They have a wait staff that goes to every room and brings the residents (if they can't get there themselves) to the dining hall. They have breakfast, lunch, and supper. It's very good. They have an activity room that has a lot of arts and crafts, dexterity-type games, very low-key stretches, and things like that. They have different theme nights where they have a band or singers come in or they try karaoke. There are a lot of activities. They are the best of the ones we saw.

The only thing my uncle looks forward to at his age in seeing his friends and enjoying a good meal. My uncle has made some really good friends here with other people including some staff. He also loves the food here and says they good size meals to. Since my uncle has been here he's happier but with this pandemic, I haven't been able to see him like I did in the past. I don't blame Maple Shade but at least he's safe.

I've had many family members here over the past few years but most recently, there was a management change and from what I've been told the owners are much more involved. What a remarkable change and most recently the new Director has been more engaged with residents. There is a genuine level of care and compassion at Mapleshade and I'm thankful to have my relatives there.

We placed my mother in Maple Shade Meadows over nine years ago and she is still here today, happy, healthy and smiling. I can't say enough about the caring staff. They've kept my mother moving and I understand she has become a avid Bingo player. The kitchen prepares tasty meals and snacks daily and I often meet my mother in the Bistro for coffee or tea. As I look back to when we faced the difficult but necessary decision of placing my mother in personal care, I now realize that not only was it the right decision but Maple Shade is able to provide the care activities she needed to thrive. Thank you for your continuing level of care and compassion!

Placed my Grandmother in their care after going through their evaluation process and telling them several time that she has Alzheimer's along with providing them paperwork from her doctor about the sever dementia. They told us that they would be able to handle her "no problem". However, after just 5 days they called us and stated we need to pick her up as soon as possible as they were not able to handle her any longer. When ask what changed they stated that she was disruption the other residents by getting out of bed at night and wondering into other people rooms waking them up. We had advised them during the enrolment process that was something she was known to do and they stated it would not been as issues as they had locks on the doors and alarm systems to let them know when someone was out of bed. When we brought that point up the lady on the phone stated they were not aware of the extent of her problems. They did refund us however so that's a plus but now we have to find another place that will take her and they could not provide us with any other options. On top of this we had requested she get a Chopped Meals which were not provided to her on the days we had visited we had to ask a nurse to come over and cut the food up. When we asked why the meal had not been pre cut before it was served to her she told us that they do not cut the meals unto the resident requests it which is not what we had been told when we singed up. I can understand if they are not set up to handle dementia but the fact that during the whole enrollment process everyone we spoke with kept telling us that it was not going to be an issue is what really made me upset. If you can't handle Alzheimer's patents at least tell me up front so we can look at other places. Now my parents had to cancel there vacation plans because someone has to be home with Grandma at all times and we lost the funding we had for Adult Daycare because we used it to pay for the Nursing Home that now says they can't take her.

Truly disappointed. It is very sad the way they treated my father. They should have been more honest and let us know that they do not have what it takes to care for someone with dementia. It was a sad experience.
