My dad is now at Saint Mary's Villa. Their physical therapy department had the best reputation. It came highly recommended and we're very happy we chose it. My dad is making great progress with his physical skills. His room is clean and well-kept. It has a nice window, and the window can open for fresh air. There are two beds, but he's the only one in there, which is nice. It's a private room for him. The staff has been really wonderful. They're very pleasant and accommodating. I haven't eaten there, but my dad eats meals there. They're pretty good at honoring his requests using alternate foods as needed. Medicare is paying, too.

I toured St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home for my mother. It is beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The menus looked appetizing with the way it was written out and it was geared toward older individuals. If I can remember correctly, they had three different options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunchtime was their main meal, and then in the evening, they could just ask for a sandwich or something like that. But for the main meal, three entrees were offered each day. I was very impressed with how clean and neat it was. And even with the pandemic, they still made improvements. There is a theater room where residents can go watch movies, there were activities, too. We saw some of the clients having activities in the afternoon, and we saw them playing games and different things. The rooms had a little sitting room outside of the bedroom where they could put their own chair and TV and set it up for themselves. It's two people, but they each had separate rooms. If I needed to go to an assisted living facility at this time, I would go there. It was very homey, and I was very impressed with it.

My husband's been good since moving to St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home. He seems like he's being very well taken care of. The staff is very polite and very helpful. He says the food is pretty good. Without COVID, I'm sure I'd have more access to him. They are being very careful about getting COVID in the place again, and I don't blame them for being so careful. Their facility is very nice. They're just starting back with the activities now because of COVID. They just had bingo the other night. They have been very cautious with the COVID. They didn't have any activities there for a little bit, but they're back into it now.

St Mary's is a very warm place. They have a very high quality cuisine, an excellent menu, and a wonderful dining room service. They have a gym, different classes, different religious services, and libraries. It's a very well-run and very high class place. They also have a nursing home attached to it in case the seniors need special care.

Every fourth Sunday of the month, the routine remains the same. The Revival Brass group of Northeast Pennsylvania has a standing commitment with the St. Mary's Villa to bless the residents with music every month. I am a french horn player in the group, and have walked through the doors of this facility scores of time over the past several years. The staff is unfailingly friendly, cookies and juice always wait for us after the program, and the people themselves are a constant source of joy. We talk with them, play our brass, sing to them, and share with them the love of Jesus. It is a mutual blessing for both parties - we come away knowing we have encouraged some very special people. To the staff of St Mary's Villa, to the residents who always know to look for us each month - I want to extend our grateful thanks for this opportunity to step inside a clean, shining example of the homes in which our community's seniors reside.
