My mother-in-law was here for a few months. The care she received was average. They just aren't staffed to quickly react to the needs of the patients. Also, although management appeared concern about issues, they weren't very effective at addressing them. The real probably was with the insurance after the fact. We needed some forms for supplemental insurance. Its been weeks of multiple calls and messages with not results. When I asked for the number for their corporate office, I was told they didn't know who their corporate office was. ??

Oh my, this place gave the absolute worst care ever!!! please be careful if you are considering taking your beloved family member there. They had mom sitting in fecies on her wheeled chair that was not hers. Her pillow had poop on it. Her room stunk horribly!!! SHe ended up with Cellulites on her but from a bum sore. and Bronchitis, where we had to take her to the ER to be diagnosed because she was neglected care. Her roomate was colapsed in her bed, put call light on and nobody showed up. took 23 minutes and an Activities volunteer worker to help us find help for this poor lady. Now she is in a new home doing very well. Amazing care, i am thankful we seen this however, i feel so bad for those left there with family unawhare of the care.

Apparently you have to give this horrible place at least one star for your review to register. I would give this stinkhole -10! I'll give you a tip so you don't waste your time looking at this filthy place. It is dirty, it smells, the residents are screaming and my sister actually saw a nurse crying because as the nurse said the place was over enrolled and understaffed and more people were being admitted. The nurse said there was too much work to do. The staff was wearing masks because there was a flu outbreak. No masks for the residents. This place is your parents nightmare! We moved our parents, don't take yours here.

Mom went to Golden Living Center and it was a beautiful facility. The staff was marvelous. They are very concerned and very well trained. They know how to redirect my mom and they were right on the care. They focused on the need on that particular person needed. They called her by her name and interact with her. They also have staff and social workers that interact with me. They call me and give me updates. They also have very nice meals and nutritious too.

After surgery, my father's wife was sent to Golden Livingcenter for rehab. They were good. She was there for 40 days. She was in a room with somebody who lives there, so it was definitely shared. The food was good. The staff was great. I would recommend them. However, it was really hard for my father to spend time with her there because the room was so small. Also I wasn't totally satisfied with the cleanliness. Every once in awhile, I would catch a whiff of a smell or two there.

My father was in Golden Living rehabbing for about a month. I can't say enough about this facility. The staff was very caring and attentive and the therapy he received was top notch!

The facility dosn't give the family time to get support for at home. Is given 24 hour notice before discharge.

For the most part, the assisted living provider has done a great job caring for my grandmother. They bring in outside entertainment at least once a week, have 2-3 daily activities for all residents, exercise, and also do problem-solving/mental exercises because of her dementia. They have a nice courtyard with flowers and tables and chairs so the residents can sit outside when the weather is nice. They celebrate holidays and invite all family members to attend. They get three good meals a day, with the addition of snacks - my grandmother has actually put on a few pounds since she got there so they take care of them well. The only negative that we have experienced was from some of the staff, but they were discharged once we voiced our concerns and had an investigation. They also have a barber that comes to do haircuts and take care of nail clipping, etc. - however, once they were fairly rough with my grandmother (not a good idea when she isn't mentally all-there), and she got very upset. However, this was an outside visitor and not a full-time employee of the facility.

I moved my mother into Golden Living Centers in the Spring of 2007. Golden Living Centers are all worried about their bottom dollar as opposed to taking care of their residents. They are willing to work short staffed to save money. Golden Living is not somewhere were you want to put your loved ones. They do NOT receive the care they should especially for the amount of money that you pay for them to be there. The only positives I have about the place is that they are an extremely tidy living facility. This is good because my mother was always an extremely tidy person. Also, there was a specific nurse there named Stacy. She was a lovely girl who truly cared about my mother and would have done anything for her. People should certainly think twice before sending one of their loved ones to any Golden Living Center, anywhere in the US.
