The staff were extremely great to be around. Since it’s a small community everyone got to know each other and it was very fun to see my grandma get to be cheerful and lively during her last few months there. It was everything we needed for her. I knew she was in great hands seeing the staff welcome her with open arms. For being a small community, it sure is a wonderful place to be at.

My cousin moved into Oak Leaf Manor South. His room is bigger. They came and picked up his furniture. They moved his furniture for him. It's a very nice place, from what I can see. My cousin seems to be happy with the food. It's a little bit of a walk to the dining room, but it doesn't hurt him. I know they did certain things on certain days. They had a picnic one day where they cooked hotdogs. The staff members seem friendly. My cousin's room has a full bath with a walk-in shower. They have a patio.

My mother is happy at Oak Leaf Manor South. It's a small facility and they're very good with her. The facility looked very nice, her room is very nice, and none of the rooms are that far from the dining area, so it was easy for everyone to get to. It's a small facility, so a lot of care is taken. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful, since it's a small facility, they know all of the patients. I haven't tried the food but my mom said it's wonderful. They cook their food, it's not like processed food. They get a menu so there's more than one option available for any given meal. They also have a memory section in another wing of the facility. They have several activities each day, there's always something to be done. They have musicians come in. There's bingo, aerobics, and physical activities that you can attend in the morning, though you're not required to go to them.

Oak Leaf Manor was very clean and very nice. The staff was very helpful with all of the questions we asked. They had physical therapy, which was one of the things we looked at for my mother. My mother has trouble swallowing, so they also had a special diet for her. We liked the cleanliness and the staff. My sisters went there a second time, and it seemed like they were fine. We didn't interact with the residents. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the inside of building itself was very clean.

Oak Leaf was close to our home. At that time, my mom had a condition where she needed to be in medication every two hours so we decided to place her there. She was well taken care of being there. She was there for three months only but they treated my mother as if she was their mother. They were absolutely beautiful people. They provided three meals a day, which was part of the fee. She had her own room. Their lobby was beautifully furnished with bookcases and residents can take any books they want. They also had different activities and entertainments would come in for the residents. She just loved it down there. If I had to stay in a place, this is the kind of place I would want to stay. Oak Leaf also has a memory care unit and that too is a beautiful facility.

Oak leaf manor and is an amazing place and is somewhere that I would suggest to anyone looking for long term care. My grandfather was placed there in 2010 and the whole entire time the facility and staff were absolutely amazing. I have nothing at all bad to say about this facility. The staff here was great and made sure that they treated my grandfather with the best care ever, and made him feel like a person not a patient. The whole facility made sure that they met his needs at all time and made sure to make him feel at home. The facility did many different outings so he felt like he was not stuck in a place. He was able to go outside daily which was extremely important to him. The staff was supportive since day one till when he passed in 2011. During his last days the facility made sure that his privacy was kept and that he could spend time with his family and not worry about being around a lot of people. I would recommend this facility to anyone and know where I will take other family members when the time comes.

This facility took excellent care of my late mother who had dementia. She was only there from June 2011 until her death, end of March 2012. They were able to communicate with her in her dementia state of 23 yrs. of age even though she was 90. My siblings and I feel blest that they made her last few months on earth enjoyable w/their outings and activities and kept a good watch on her health and personal care while she lived there. I would recommend this personal care home to anyone w/parents who need to be cared for around the clock. They treated her w/respect, caring help that she needed and love as if she were one of their own family member. They also allowed her to stay there to die w/dignity--which would have been even harder for her and my family to have had to move her into a nursing home. They went out of their way to accomplish this and gave her privacy from the other residents. I only wished both my dad and mother could have lived there together for a few years before we had to admit her after my father's passing last year..
