My father moved into Brookdale Grandon Farms. It just seemed like the best fit for him. Everyone that I spoke with has helped me a lot through this whole process. I couldn't have done it without them. His room is very nice and very spacious. He's in a one room by himself, and they keep it clean. They take care of the property. The staff has been wonderful. They're good with the residents. You can tell that the residents like them, and they have a good relationship with each other. So far, I don't have a complaint about any of them. The food is very good. They do dog therapy twice a week. They have exercise, yoga, and music.

I toured Brookdale Grandon Farms. It's part of that Brookdale group, but it was newer, so just a feeling of being more updated. The setting was lovely. It just seemed more pleasing when I walked in. The staff was great.

I toured Brookdale Grandon Farms. They had a lot of staff-to-resident ratio. Since we're looking specifically at memory care you didn't have to worry about anybody escaping. There was plenty of staff on hand to assist the residents' needs. Also, one thing that I like is that after a certain time, they slowed down on the activities within memory care so that the residents could get ready to, essentially go to bed or get a schedule and then go to sleep or get ready to go to the room for the evening which was good. I did like their little activity rooms and everything. They had a good set of programs for the residents to use. The walls need to be repainted a little bit. Nothing too much but after painting for a while you just notice little stuff like that. Facility-wise, everything was fine, and had little like alcoves. Some were quieter than others. They had a nice central location that you walked into. They had a nice little welcoming fire pit which was nice. Overall, everything was very pleasant there. The rooms were quaint and had a decent walk-in shower, and a toilet that you could use. One thing I like is that the help option to get out of the toilet was where you could pull the string if you needed assistance and closet space to put in your clothes for what you need. You have your regular amenities which you don't need any more than that. If you wanted to bring in some personal belongings you had enough room. Not enough to fill the room but enough to bring some items from home to at least make it your own space.

My father will be moving into Brookdale Grandon Farms. They were so personable, and the facility was on a smaller scale, and that's what my dad is used to. I just feel like they can be more attentive to them. There were not too many people there, and it felt more personable. They have activities that they engage the residents in and that's pretty much what my dad is going to be doing, engaging in those activities, not going off by himself, and going to a gym. They include the internet and the cable and all that in their price. I don't have to pay extra for that.

My sister was a resident at Brookdale Grandon Farms. I would not take anybody there. She got no care. It was so bad, so I brought her home with me. The appearance of the facility looked good. Initially, they said they would check every two hours. I was there at the time, but I didn't see that many. And through complaints, they said they'll do it every hour, but I don't know if that was done or not. While I was there, a girl opened the door and looked in, but didn't walk over to the bed. She didn't check on my sister. They took her down to the dining room to eat, but she could barely feed herself, and she couldn't cut her own food. They just left her there to eat by herself, but I was impressed with the food they served. They had singing down in the lobby, and the music carried all the way up to the second floor because it was all open. When I decided to bring her home there was no one to assist in getting her out of bed into my vehicle.

I toured Brookdale Grandon Farms for my mom. It was just a lovely home-like setting. It was elegant with a great ambiance. They had a dining hall, an ice cream shop, and a little store. They also had a great activities program. They had a salon, physical therapy, and a doctor's office, too. Plus, the rooms were nice sized.

My parents are in the memory care unit at Brookdale Grandon Farms. The staff was very pleasant and answered my questions. The facility itself was wonderful. They have a very low staff ratio, so it seems like my parents need to wait a long time to get any assistance. But the people that are there are very wonderful. The staff members who take care of the medical needs are fabulous and conscientious. I really enjoy them. You can either be in a single or double room in the memory care unit. They do have activities. I see it listed where they can go out to the community room and have karaoke, trivia, movies, and exercise. They leave it up to the patients to decide. The office staff is not as great as the floor staff because I can't get anybody to call me back. From what I've seen of their eating, it's okay. They do get a variety. If they don't like the entree, they can choose something else.

Brookdale Grandon Farms was a very, very nice facility. It's a nice community there. It appears to be aging a little bit, especially like the carpets and so forth, but it was warm and welcoming. Our tour guide was filling in for the leasing manager. So she doesn't normally conduct the tours, but she was like the director for the memory care unit. However, she did a good job of showing us all the amenities and showing us the available rooms, the dining, and covering the activities and so forth. She was pretty knowledgeable. We looked at the menu, and it's pretty nice. They do have a chef on staff for the meals. They usually prepare several different selections every day, along with some standard favorites. There was a resident who led Bible study. The residents weren't out doing much, but they told us they have a game room for playing board games. They have another room that has got a chessboard and cards. They have a salon, barbershop. They have a physical therapy room where you can get physical therapy or speech therapy. They have a little corner store to obtain a few items.

We visited Brookdale Grandon Farms. I thought the community was very lovely. The people were very friendly. When you walk in, it's very nice. The young girl that we had was well educated on it. The one thing I didn't like about there was, it is two floors. We looked at pictures online of the rooms; I didn't want that because you couldn't get a feel. Now, we did see one room that was empty being redone; It was adjoining two rooms. The dining area looked very nice right inside the door. I did not try the food. However, I talked to a sweet woman, and she said, everything's wonderful. She lives there. They were getting ready to play bingo with a young gentleman. I think they were nice. We didn't go out; I saw a garden center out back and when we were leaving, two women were sitting in their wheelchairs out by the front door. They said, now that it's getting cooler, they're not going out as often.

I highly recommend Brookdale Grandon Farms. My mom's been there for two months now. She went directly to memory care. You don't have to look anywhere else there. They're excellent, especially in the memory care. It's a smaller facility with nice facilities, with outdoors, and has more of a cozy feeling about it. The staff and even the ones at the management level (from sales to their health advisors), they're just really easy people to talk to. You just feel like they're more responsive. That's the one thing I complained about in the other place my mom was in because it was so hard sometimes to get anyone to answer their phones.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Brookdale Grandon Farms for three weeks now. Her being there has been absolutely wonderful. Everybody there has been very nice and very informative as to how things work. The facility is very nice. They have physical therapy there. The dining room is very nice, and the activities have just been wonderful. She has a very nice-sized room with a view of a courtyard. It has a big closet and a bathroom with all the amenities that she would need. It's handicap accessible, very nice, and very clean. There is a variety of a rooms, but that's the one that they showed us. They have what they call joyrides where they take the residents out because they know they can't actually be out and about because the COVID, but they will take them out so they can sight-see. They do a take-out Thursdays; where they will pick a restaurant and everybody can order. Then they bring the food into them, so it is something. They do all kinds of games and exercises with the activities director, and they have a band. They have lots of fun stuff. They have a beauty salon. There is a very nice veranda where they have rocking chairs and other chairs that you can go out and sit, and then there's another little courtyard that they can go out and sit in.

I visited Brookdale Grandon Farms. It was very nice, it was big, and it was rather homey. It was just too far away from my home and I knew my mom wanted to be as close to me as possible. It was also a little bit more expensive, but it turns out her long-term health insurance is going to help pay for this. I told them right away what I wanted so we toured the assisted living. It was very good and everybody was lovely. The person who gave me the tour, whose name I can't remember because I talked to a million people, was lovely and very thorough. The director called me afterward to make sure that my tour was thorough and that I found out everything I needed. They checked up with me. It was a lovely facility and had beautiful surroundings, too. I was there at night but it was very pretty and very nice. I'm sure the landscaping and everything would have been just as nice on the day. The apartments had no kitchens or anything. They would provide a bed and I didn't ask about a microwave or anything, but they would help me with anything that I wanted. I would rate their facility quite high, they were good. The staff took me around and showed me the different areas where they had different activities for people and the open areas in the back where there were places for people to gather. There was one place that was like a little library. It didn't seem like a good fit for my mother and that's the only reason we didn't go for it. I can't see anything negative about it. The dining rooms were lovely. They had them set up almost like a restaurant, where they come in and sit down and then they serve you. They had a little bit more choices too, as far as their menu goes. They would have a menu with two entrees and two or three sides. If you didn't like any of that, you had some regular backups, like hot dogs and hamburgers, that they would go to. That's the only place I saw that they had something like that available. That's important for people to be able to have a choice and control of their diet.

My mom is at Brookdale Grandon Farms right now. The move-in experience was just fine. Considering COVID, I wasn't allowed to actually move her in, but they're doing what they can do, so I don't have a problem with it. She came from another memory care facility, and the price went up so much over the last two years that I knew I wouldn't be able to afford it much longer. I chose Brookdale Grandon Farms because I was looking for a place that was more affordable, and I liked the fact that they didn't have a level-of-care thing -- you just pay one price. I've seen the staff numerous times because I am allowed to go visit now, and they've been very good. It is limited, but I can go and visit. The rooms are very large, the building is beautiful, and they clean the rooms every day. She told me she likes the food, too, but I kind of wished they would have more activities. Where she came from, they had scheduled activities during the day, and I haven't noticed that here, but that's maybe because of this COVID situation. I am not there at different times throughout day because I have to make appointments to go there right now, so I'm very limited on what I might see.

Brookdale Grandon Farms is very welcoming. My mother is in a studio and you can decorate it the way you want. It's nice and clean. The aides, the nurses, the food, and the dining area, everything seems well organized. It felt very homey. It's not like putting your loved one in an old nursing home. They said they've had so many new staff and I've been trying to get them on mom's care plan and therapy, but getting that set up is delayed right now. The food is good, and she's very pleased with it most of the time. They go out on joyrides and different trips to different places. I would recommend them to anybody. The only bad thing is if my mother runs out of money, they don't take Medicaid.

I wasn't happy with Brookdale Grandon Farms. My mother wasn't happy there and I wasn't happy with it either. They had one girl to each floor for 30 people. They're short-staffed. They need to hire more people and be more on top of things. They didn't keep my mother's room very clean. Everything else looked nice, but her room was always so dirty. Her bathroom was a mess, too. The staff was very nice, but they'll tell you what they want you to hear. My mother enjoyed the food. The place is beautiful. They kept them busy, but my mother never wanted to do anything except play bingo.

I visited Brookdale Grandon Farms. It was very nice and had the most accommodations. The rooms were pretty large in size, they had individual rooms, and the shared rooms were a fairly decent size. The staff was very nice, they offered me a meal, and that was really good. I know they have happy hour, they have a schedule, and it seemed like they have a lot more to do. It was really clean and the residents seemed very nice to somebody new coming in.

Brookdale Grandon Farms was the nicest place I've ever been in for memory care. The staff was fine. They have almost everything. They have a library, amenities for inside and outside, and a lot of ways just to walk around outside. It's very nice. I have a dog, which I'm allowed to take with me, and I can just take him right outside. I have Alzheimer's, so they're going to have to keep an eye on me. The staff was terrific. There was no rush, no push. The food was great. It's like my own house.

The staff member who gave me the tour of Brookdale Grandon Farms did a really good job and explained everything. The dining area is easy in and out, it wasn't overwhelmingly big, it's open, and off the common area as you walk in. So it's a good design and a good layout. They have different rooms for different talks and get-togethers with the residents. I think they're building a new courtyard outside too.

My impression of Brookdale Grandon Farms was good, but my mom did not like it. Nevertheless, it was everything I thought it was going to be. The apartments were nice. The dining area and the small social halls were great. The outside was very well-manicured and very well taken care of. Their activity levels were awesome. Not having anything to compare it to, I would give it three stars, just because it was nice, clean, up-to-date, and it seemed like everybody was generally happy there. The bad part though was when we started talking about pricing, all of a sudden the fees just kept adding and adding and it priced my mom right out of the question. The staff was nice, very friendly, very cordial, and very informative. However, they had a lot of secrets, like they would talk to each other when they added the price together, but they wouldn't really tell us what they were adding up until they got to the end.

I went to Brookdale Grandon Farms for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have a breathing problem and am on oxygen, and after three trips to the hospital in two weeks, they kindly asked me to leave because I was disruptive to the residents. Their facilities were beautiful and fabulous, and I really enjoyed living there. Their food was very good, nutritious, and fairly varied. The room was nice and moderately spacious. I really liked the layout. The staff did an excellent job and provided very good service. Their programs were very good. We had things to do to keep busy, and everyone was very friendly. I really enjoyed it there and didn’t particularly want to leave. I would have stayed there.

Brookdale Grandon Farms is inappropriate for my mom because she needs long-term nursing care, but the facility is very nice. This facility is an assisted living facility.

Brookdale Grandon Farms is nice and within our budget. It’s in an area that my mother is familiar with. The day that we were there, the staff seemed to be very outgoing and friendly. The residents all seemed to be very happy, outgoing, and sociable. When we entered the place, there was a big porch and one of the gentlemen residents was sitting out there in the chair. He said hello and welcomed us to the place. I like the outgoingness and the friendliness, and they seem to be caring. I only saw it one time, but for my one visit, I was very impressed. The food smelled and looked good and had good menus. My mother likes bingo, which they do two or three times a week. They have crafts and provide shopping trips a couple of times a week. They also have the residents wear a necklace, so if they’re in trouble, they just press a button to get help right away, which I like.

Brookdale Grandon Farms was very nice and clean. I liked the idea that it had a memory care unit, which would have been good for my stepmother. The rooms were nice and just the right size, and the tours didn?t take that long. I was impressed by the fact that they have an outing for each individual to do something that is personally interesting to them.

They seemed very accommodating and answered all my questions. My mother has been here a month, and we just finished the month evaluation early July, and everything is going fine. She had a period of adjustment, and they were very helpful during that period. She seems to be settling down now and settling in. She had a one-bedroom in the assisted living she was in before, and we were downsizing her. However, we got a deluxe studio, which is quite spacious -- it's very bright, it has big windows, and it's very nice. They have some scheduled activities. Every Tuesday, they have a joyride with no set destination, and it changes from week to week. They have bingo, games, and happy hour. They have a lot of musical entertainment, and I'm really impressed with that. The menu is OK, but it could be improved. The food level is good. They seem to have an awful lot of the same stuff. The dinner menu is kind of a repeat sometimes of the lunch menu. I'd like to see the dinner menu expanded a little more, a little more balanced with meat, potatoes, and vegetables, instead of just a sandwich. Brookdale Grandon Farms (Formerly Emeritus at Creekview) was in transition, and a lot of the little problems that we encountered were as a result of that transition, but they have a potential to definitely be a 4.

I LEFT MY HUSBAND IN THEIR CARE FOR 2 WEEKS IN RESPITE CARE IN 2014. HE HATED THE FOOD. THEY NEVER DID HIS LAUNDRY AND HE WAS LOCATED ON THE 2ND FLOOR WITH NO HELP. HE NEVER WANTS TO BE LEFT THERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT'S CLOSE TO HOME.

We choose it for my brother-in-law because my mother has been there before. Our experience is very good. The rooms are very nice. The staff is very helpful. The food is good. They take them on bus trips. They take them out to eat. They do sightseeing. They have all kinds of activities. Plus, they have physical therapy and games. What stands out for me is the warmness of the surrounding and the care of the staff.

My mother-in-law is in here. It is close to my daughter. It is a very good place. The people working there are excellent and very good. They had activities like singing during the evening, and they read the paper during the day. They have bingo, walking groups, and a book club. They have numerous clubs. They have outside groups that come in to sing, dance, and do other things. My mother-in-law is very happy with the community. The price is lower than everybody else, and they are better than anybody else. My wife says the food could be a tiny bit better, but I thought the food is good because I sampled it four or five days, and it is delicious. They have a good variety.

It was my choice for my mom to stay in temporarily for her respite care because it was close to home. Everything was wonderful. Their dining area was lovely and the food was good. It was a beautiful place. The grounds and the building were beautiful. Everybody was very nice and helpful. It was the best facility and I would use it again.
