My mom moved into RiverWoods Senior Living Community. It is a very nice facility with multi-level units of care. The staff is wonderful. They have restaurants, crafts, and different things going on. It's in the same town where I live, so it's very convenient. I can visit my mother regularly. My mother is quite happy with the food. Their meds are delivered every day. There's a nurse there. My mom lives in a single room. The cost for my mom's level is really good and very affordable. They are a terrific facility. We're very happy.

RiverWoods was expensive. It's down along the river. I've eaten meals there with friends. It's perfect, but it's very high priced. The atmosphere was nice and the parking was easy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had a little snack shop, which was very nice. If you have lots of money, it's perfect.

I would have to take an apartment there at RiverWoods, but when I saw the cottages at the other facility, I became very interested in starting out in a cottage. However, the staff was very friendly. It looked like they like their job, and they are very happy working there. I've seen their dining room. It was very nice and very comfortable, and they had a nice selection of food on their menu. I was impressed with the meal that I got there; it was excellent. I toured with my daughter and the admissions director, and she suggested we have lunch there, so we did.

Riverwoods was move-in ready as far as I was concerned. Everything in it was all right. It had an art studio. It had a workshop -- you could use their tools -- and I love using saws and sanders. It had a green house, a swimming pool, and a chair lift. It really was perfect. We went into the assisted living, and there was a restaurant and a cafe there. They had a deal with Bucknell that you could go to the performances at Bucknell for only $10 a ticket. They had a bus that would pick you up at your door and the bus was only like $5. You could go to, from what I understood, all the musicals or lectures or anything, for such a nominal fee. My friend and I saw two couples sitting out on a small brick area, and we asked them some questions. They said it was the best move they had ever made.

From my experience at the facility, I have a mostly positive opinion on how they conducted things. My mother had told me how much care they gave to their residents, and the stress that went along with the job. From my touring of the facility, I saw that most of the workers were on the job and not slacking or looking unhappy. The only reason I did not rate it five stars was because the facility was not exactly the most glamorous and according to my mother some of her coworkers could be a little mean to the residents from time to time. Other than that, everything seemed to be in top shape. They used fairly new equipment and the facility itself was kept quite clean. From what I saw, most of the residents seemed happy too which I feel is very important in a place like this. My mother herself also seemed happy with her job and helping the people there. Overall I liked what I saw at Riverwoods and would even consider sending a loved-one there if they needed the assistance.
