ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation-Laureldale were great. They were good with my mom because she thought about going back. She seemed to enjoy her meals. The only thing we didn't like was acute care, they just had one potty for four people. Other than that, the girls were good at making sure she had her pills. She especially likes her speech therapist and she keeps saying she had the best therapy there. They were also good at keeping their residents busy. They had manicures, pet therapy, bingo, ice cream social, and entertainment shows.

We arrived at 11:45 am to visit family member May 17, 2024. He arrived at this facility April 30 from Reading Hospital. Rooms are dirty and floors not mopped/cleaned. Was there for three hours and NO ONE checked on my family member. I decided to take a walk around second-floor unit. Nurses and aides were “hanging out” in dining room and next to nurses station on their cell phones and talking about wedding dresses. They told a resident to keep walking and go watch a movie. The other side of the hallway had their lunch trays and all beds neatly made. There were five residents’ sitting in dining room with lunch. I approached the charge nurse and asked why if my family member had his lunch and why bed was stripped. She told me he ate. She then came into his room about 15 min later and proceeded to tell me his bed was “airing” out because he was “soaked”. I asked why and this is a skin-breakdown issue, agreed, but gave no further explanation. She left the room and five minutes later his lunch tray was delivered 1:30pm! No one checked his glucose!!!! It was 11:45 am when we arrived and lunch tray was delivered at 1:30 PM!!! No one checked his insulin prior to his 1:30 lunch. Stray animals get better treatment at the SPCA.

If I could give less than a rating of one I would. Food is beyond disgusting Some you can't even tell what it is. The aides and nurses are friendly but take forever to do anything for you. It rarely takes less than 45 minutes for them to answer when you ring the call button. One night I rang because I needed help getting out of bed and waited 2 hours for someone to come help me. Several times I asked for something and over several days asked 5 different people and still never got Ir. I was here for temp therapy but would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
