My mom is in a nursing home now. She is at Conestoga View. The care is very good for her. The staff members are very good. They treat her well. Communication is usually once a week. My mom is comfortable in her room. She has dementia and she can't walk, so she pretty much stays in bed. We're very pleased with the facility.

I recommend you visit the top floor before you admit anyone. Take a good look around, don't trust the website. We gave this facility a try for my mother's rehab. Barely any air conditioning, had to bring in a fan. Four beds to a room, everyone listens to their TV same time loud. Staff does not answer call button for hours, my mother had to soil her bed each night while there. She contracted Covid on the 3rd day. They put her in a small room, did not even open the window curtains, TV did not work, no air conditioning, shut the door and left her there for hours to fend for herself. Did not transfer her personal items to the other room, did not transfer the fan that I brought in for her,During my visit, I watched my mother suffering greatly and then they brought in her dinner of burger and fries. I sent it back! Staff is over worked and not supervised well. When I asked for updates, they look at me like deer in headlights. I finally got her out of there by sending her back to the hospital to deal with the covid. They did not send her special meds with her, I had to go back at 9:00pm to get the drugs and take them to the hospital. Im starting at zero and going to help her get a better place next time.

Rooms could use a good Sanitation. The could be better. Interactions: Very few that care to talk or share compassion. I just left this place upset. I ALWAYS CALL in advance to advise I am coming to put my dad in his chair since I like getting him out of bed or no one else will. Tonight I had to clean my dad up n waited to have him in his chair. I ask why he wasn't in his chair and was told they couldn't find a sling for the hoyer lift. All along it was in his closet n no one checked. As i had bed waiting on Aides i cleaned up his night stand and came across His drinking cup that had mold. Does anyone do inspections of this place? Should Supervisors do walk thru to make sure residents are well taken care of by Aides and that everything is well addressed before end of every shift? I believe better implementation should take place for safety of residents and environment of the residents well being. Makes you wonder of many things of this place.

The food there is terrible, the rooms are filthy, patients are ignored, no help for them. I feel so sorry for the patients that cannot do for themselves because they wait a long time for something they want. Bed sores are raging with many patients. It appears to be very unhealthy for the way they have to live. My brother received his food tray today. On the tray with his food was a dirty wash rag and rubber gloves!!! WITH HIS FOOD!!!! This is totally unacceptable and I will be taking this complaint further!!

My father convalesced at Conestoga View for 10 weeks after a hospital stay. He liked it there and to our knowledge was not a problem for the staff. CV was the facility my parents planned to turn to when they were no longer able to live alone. My father is now ill and CV was contacted to have him placed to convalesce or possibly become a resident. We were told that he was a "Do Not Readmit" to which we are shocked and angry! My attempts to find out why (since we were never made aware of any problems, behavioral, care-wise or financial) and they will not give us an answer. No one seems to know and they will not overturn the ruling. We are beyond angry and will never recommend Conestoga View. I'm giving it one-star only because I have to give it something to post this review.

My mom is in Conestoga View because it's the only place that accepts people connected to a machine ventilator. That's the main reason she's there. My mom didn't really like staying in a hospital and preferred to stay in a home. Other home cares don't accept people in this situation. I visited the place three times. The rooms have four people each. They are helpful sometimes but they should pay more attention to the person.

The building itself needs to be updated, the facilities are older and you can tell that it is. The staff, however, are really great. They are kind to the residents. They spend a lot of time getting to know the residents and their families. The food is not that great, it is about the same as hospital food, but that is pretty much to be expected. They treat the residents with kindness and dignity.

Conestoga View where my grandmother is staying is in my opinion a below par facility. The reason that my grandmother is staying there is that it was the closest place to my parents house that was affordable for my grandmother. The facility is crowded with some rooms having 4 residents in them. The staff is often unfriendly and does not seem to care. I have been there often for emergency calls over and over again for things like outbreaks of sickness that have affected numerous residents. There are also times when the staff seems to know nothing about the resident that they are caring for and they do not know why they are going to the hospital. The building sometimes has a foul odor and is seems to me that there are many things in the facility that need to be updated. If I had my choice and the money I would move my grandmother to another facility. On a positive note, some of the rooms have nice views of the surrounding area and there are different areas of the facility where a resident can go outside on a covered porch. There are usually organized activities for the residents that many of them seem to enjoy.

Conestoga View was terrific in getting me physically fit enough to go home.
