My wife moved into Sunrise of Haverford a week ago. They seem to be very nice to her, and she's getting very good care. They put her in a wheelchair or a regular chair, and she's sitting up as much as possible, and they try to involve her in activities. She's not just stuck in a bed permanently. They seem very pleasant and professional. The memory care unit has lots of activities, and they try to get them involved, and the people are extremely nice. They do singing, little exercises, and batting a balloon around. The food seems really good and very plentiful. For breakfast, they gave her sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, and a pancake. They have a little courtyard for the memory care residents. And when the weather is good, they take them out in wheelchairs.

Sunrise of Haverford was excellent. The staff was wonderful and very informative. The place was immaculate. It was just a very nice experience. It's a lovely place. It looks like everybody is well cared for. The food seemed to be good; they gave us a little sample. They didn't have a one-bedroom, but we were very impressed with the place. They were very nice, very helpful, and pleasant. I would recommend them highly. I thought it was nice. My aunt thought it was nice, too. Her only question was about the cost, but they didn't get into that with us at that time. If we're ready, they'll do a plan and they'll tell us approximately what the cost will be, but it was reasonable. The people looked happy. The chef came out and offered us a sample of a couple of things, and it was very good and very nicely prepared. The facility was spotless.

My sister-in-law is at Sunrise of Haverford. It is really beautiful. It's easy to access, like the parking, and we liked the cleanliness, the food, and the people. They are very, very cordial and very helpful. The memory care facility is very clean, very nice, very open, and spacious. They have a bistro right there when you come in the door. The food is cooked right on my sister-in-law's floor, and she eats well.

The tour experience we had at Sunrise of Haverford was nice. The only problem with that was once we did a tour and everything at the end, they told us there was no availability. If I knew all that, I would have never set up the tour. Other than that, the facility itself was gorgeous. There are various levels of rooms. A lot of activities took place during the day. They do shopping trips for the residents, they have in-house doctors like a podiatrist, and their location looks good. There are shops and things right there. I had cookies and that was good, too.

Our tour at Sunrise of Haverford was good. It was a very nice place. The people that live there were happy. The caretakers were happy. It seemed very secure, as far as having emergency alert systems. It was very colorful and clean. We liked it a lot. We saw memory care and personal care. They had a lot of books people could borrow. They had a game room. We also looked at the memory care unit and they had that, too. They have a nice dining area called The Bistro. The food smelled delicious. They offered food but we had to leave. They did give my mother a cup of coffee while we were waiting, and she said it was fabulous coffee. The rooms are good, and we like the fact that there is a ledge for the shower, so the water doesn't go all over the place. Some of the rooms were carpeted, which was nice. They have a bunch of porches, but they don't have a lot of area to walk around.

Sunrise of Haverford was great. It's really good. It's just that they didn't have any room for my mom. The food was excellent. It's homey. It doesn't feel like an institution. It feels like somebody's bed and breakfast. It's nice, and I was surprised. The upkeep and the parking were great. They have snacks for the people downstairs. There's a choice of menu. It's not like a regular place where everybody gets the same food. You can choose from three or four entrees. There's a well-stocked library. They have a very extensive recreation calendar that was filled with anything you were interested in. I told them if it wasn't so far away, I'd move in. I toured memory care for mom, but I looked at the whole thing. They have a movie theater, bingo, yoga, a singing choir, and arts and crafts. It's like two or three things are scheduled every two hours. It's an older building and the outside renovations were excellent. There's a wide choice of room sizes, from one-bedroom to small studios to medium studios. Pets are allowed if you can take care of them. It's a very nice place. You can get levels of care as long as it's not skilled like they don't do catheters and things like that, but your medications can be delivered to you, and make sure you take them. It's a very nice place.

I went to look at Sunrise of Haverford. The employees there were very friendly. The staff who gave me a tour was very friendly. The facility seemed a little dated. They have a salon and outside walkways. The upkeep was adequate. It's close to my home. It is in between two big hospitals. There is shopping within walking distance of it.

I like the Sunrise of Haverford. I also love the person that we met with, Meghan. She was very resourceful and knowledgeable. We toured both assisted living and memory care. She was able to answer every question that we have and was very helpful. It looked like they pretty much had everything covered there. They have a lot of activities for the seniors too like exercises, puzzles, painting, and tons of others.

The first reason why I chose Sunrise of Haverford for my husband is that it's very beautiful. It's very aesthetic, doesn't look like anything sad or depressing, and it's attractive. Everything about it is good looking, very pleasant, and clean. Second thing is, the residents in the personal care are completely free and autonomous. They choose what they want to eat, how they want to dress, or what activities they want to participate in. They believe in allowing people the dignity of making their own choices about everything, but that has its downside. If it's somebody like my husband with diabetes, he shouldn't be choosing banana cream pie or that sort of thing. So it goes along with that caveat, but their mission is to keep the people as free, as independent, and upbeat as long as they possibly can. The staff seems very nice, caring, and professional. His room is also very attractive with a nice view. Basically, you get an empty room when you move in, but it so happens that the room we chose for him was close to the nurse's station and had a chest of drawers in it. I did not have to get a chest of drawers for him. When I came I didn't realize that I had to bring my own hangers to hang his clothes up, but they supply linens, towels, that kind of stuff. Other than that, you bring what you need with you like you're moving into a new home. The food is not great, but it is OK. My husband and I have traveled a lot. We're used to eating not just very good and tasty food, but very healthy and organic food. I think he just misses what he ate at home. They also have a resident cat. Their activities seem to be terrific.

Sunrise of Haverford was fine, lovely, warm, and caring. The caregivers knew everybody's names and were accessible. It was small and smelled fresh, not medicinal. The dining area looked spacious and had a room for parties if someone had a group of people over. I liked that everybody was so friendly to the people living there.

The staff at Sunrise of Haverford all seemed very friendly. I was very impressed with the salesperson who was showing me around. He was very warm and approachable and answered a lot of questions that I had and introduced me to the staff while we were walking around. I saw a few rooms; they looked comfortable. There was a small lounge which was well stocked with fruits, snacks, and popcorn, and I thought it was quite lovely.

I liked the location of Sunrise, and I also liked the setup of the rooms. It was very clean, and I thought the staff was very friendly. I even heard the other family member’s comments on the quality of the staff.

I visited Sunrise of Haverford, which happens to be a mile away from my family. Their facility is very light, airy, and sunny with nothing dark in it and everybody seems to really like each other, so it has a very agreeable climate. We were very happy with it. In a month or so, I’ll move in. The staff is very agreeable, very likeable, and like each other. I liked them, and we had a great time. They almost forgot to take down my statistics because we were talking so much.

My mom is already on the list at Sunrise of Haverford. We chose them because it was nice, and the people were nice as well. The rooms were great, and the place itself is in great shape. I was impressed with their memory section because they had patients who were reminiscing on their business, and that idea was really a brilliant idea to me. He would feel like he could do some of the things that he used to do. The guy who toured us around was very warm and really understood us.

Our Mom has been residing in this community for about the past 10 months. The concierge and the sales department are very warm And inviting and very very helpful and professional. The physical plant is fresh & clean, especially the public spaces. It is a huge adjustment from a private home setting. Many of the staff delivering personal care and serving meals are overworked and underpaid; there seems to ALWAYS be a staffing crisis. Communication between staff members and with administration does not happen effectively. If your family member is hospitalized the fees at Sunrise will continue. If additional help is needed as time goes by, the initial fees may actually DOUBLE!!!! Residents with serious cognitive decline are part of the community, this is very kind but not explained clearly upon move-in so IF you are looking for intellectually stimulating socializing it may not be possible here. Compares to most communities, this one is probably stellar, but it is a big disappointment to our family & family member. The entire industry is fraught with problems. At least our family member is safe, but that's about the only guarantee. Plan to spend between $50,000 to 90,000 per year for studio apartment ($650 square feet?) & board and help.

When we walked in we were greeted by nice greeters. They seemed helpful and nice and were very willing to answer all of our questions. We were shown around and found that the apartments were very spacious. It did seem they were a bit short staffed and that if there was a problem we may not receive all the help we would require. The showing staffed seemed friendly but the actual nurses and suport staffed seemed rude We did not choose this facility because they seemed that they were not the best support staff available.

I visited this facility and thought that it was very clean and the staff was very courteous. From the Secretary to the Nurses, I felt very welcomed each time that I came there. They were very helpful on my first visit with helping me find the room that my Aunt was in. I liked that this facility was organized and the room was very easy to get to. My Aunt had no complaints about her long term stay at the facility. She felt very comfortable and at ease with the staff and the other patients. They had activities for the patients to participate in during their stay. The food was made very well in the kitchen and the nutritionist was supportive. I came here at least once a week to visit her while she was at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center and I have no complaints of this great place.
