My family member has had 2 pieces of jewelry stolen from this facility. The facility employs agency staff that administration doesn’t trust so they obviously just need a warm body to meet quotas for patient care to staffing ratios. Food is not fit for consumption and it’s sad that they are content to be below average instead of striving for excellence in patient care.

This place is awful. It’s dirty , staff are unfriendly and nurses have too many patients. One nurse was incredibly nasty, ignored me when I asked a question and told me she had too many patients. I saw one staff get rough with a patient who tried to take her food cart. She was clearly agitated with the patient and showed her frustration by being rough with him by pulling his hands off the cart and being nasty to him until she saw me look at her. The few pictures on line look nothing like the facility. There are broken wheelchairs, patients on the locked unit have no place to visit family, and rooms are dingy and uncared for. There is nothing here that is cheerful or engaging and I feel bad for the residents that have no visitors. It felt like what you see in a movie that has an asylum- not something warm or homelike. There was a weekend schedule posted and when I asked where the move was being held Thad was on the weekend schedule all I got was a smirk. There was no movie .- patients have nothing to do on the weekends. Awful …. There is no excuse for this. Some paint , new furnishings , better oversight need to occur. Staff need to be taught how to engage with families and what it means to treat patients with respect.

A really nice place. Nancy, the administrator, is sweet and friendly, and makes sure that residents get lots of free specials, like a home-cooked Christmas dinner that she makes herself. Very clean, with no odor of urine in the air. Bottom line, not a glamorous facility, but one that is bright, attractive, well-run, and a good fit for the area, which is very much rural.
