My mother is in Quality Life Services in Grove City. It's kinda hard because I haven't been able to be there and I'm not allowed to visit, but they have been good to us. My mother has moved in on the Monday after Christmas. The staff is wonderful. It has been a lot more difficult on their end because there's a lot of things I would like to do for her, but I just can't because I'm not allowed in, so they have been going above and beyond to make her comfortable. She has an apartment, and she has a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a big walk-in closet, and her own bathroom. There are only three independent living apartments, the rest are assisted living, personal care or nursing home. They typically have activities, but right now, they're pretty much on lockdown. They're not doing much because they're afraid of getting Covid. My mother is not allowed to do anything until tomorrow because she has to be in quarantine for two weeks. Tomorrow is her first day out of quarantine. They're not having anything planned right now, but they have exercise and she can go down to the physical therapy room where there's exercise equipment and things like that. Once she does that, she could share with me what she's allowed to do. It's an older facility, but it is nice.

Quality Life Services - Grove City was wonderful. I was able to see it in action, and I was able to talk to the nurses and the attendants. It was so informative. It was a very nice facility, and the food was great. The nursing care as needed was very good. I'm not so sure about the activities, but I could've just not seen that at that particular time. The rooms had their own bathroom and shower. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly.

I would never ever ever ever ever put my loved one in this facility if I had to do it again. It smells like urine. They leave their residents sitting in their own feces for a prolonged period of time. And the nurses bell rang and rang and rang and no nurses will come. They do not keep accurate records. Beware! Stay away!

It was nearby, and the care seemed very good. The rooms are clean, and the staff seems polite and courteous. They have exercises, crafts, and bingo. I was in today while they were having cookies, punch, and tea. They were having a gathering where you get together and reminisce about your mothers, which I thought was very nice. She made a hat one day where they glued flowers onto a big straw hat. I came in, and she showed me what she had made. It seems very nice. The food isn’t always as good as I’d hoped. I had lunch with her today, and it was wonderful, but she said it was not always like that. Breakfast is good. Today, they had a hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy, cooked carrots, Jell-O cake, chef salad, and coffee and tea, all for $3, and it was very good. If she’s not feeling well, she can eat in her room, but they encourage her to move around, so she uses a walker and goes down to the cafeteria. Her laundry is all taken care of. The staff called me the other day to let me know that her toe was inflamed. They were going to have the doctor look at it. The doctor sees her right there.

My mother is here. She has been there for three-to-four months now. It is clean. She has a very big, private room. The ladies have bingo games, and things like that. There really aren’t a whole lot of things they do that she is interested in.
