My dad is in this facility and it is poorly run and staffed. The social worker does not seem to know much nor does she seem to be in any hurry to get paperwork done that needs to be done in a timely manner nor does she return phone calls. My dad can not go to the bathroom unassisted so he called for the nurse he waited two hours and no one came he ended up soiling himself and the bed. Dinners dont get served until around 6:30-7:00 p.m. that is a long time between lunch and dinner! you have to ring a bell wait for someone to let you in the door than when you are ready to leave you have to walk the halls to find someone to let you out the door!! I get it is the safety for patients but get a new system!! Horrible place go elsewhere!! we are!!

If I could go 0, then I would do so. This place was recommended by the social worker at excela at the ONLY place available for my sister. Her son visited the place and since it was the only place available per Latrobe excela, they chose to put my sister in this awful awful place. She was roomed with a combative dementia patient with a shared bathroom and two drawers to share in one bedroom closet. I visited my sister the first day there and immediately called my spouse sobbing. We moved her the next day. By the way, this shared room was $9K and we moved her into a beautiful room at $7K. I never wanted my sister to die in a facility that looked worse than a prison. I have pictures of her duct taped bed, mold on the doors and ceiling. I'm appalled that first of all, excela said this was the only place available, and that one room was getting $18K (2 patients per room at $9K each). My nephew (her son) lost his father in January and now his Mom is dying and this 24 year old was overwhelmed. I am NOT overwhelmed and will retain these photos for anyone to see. I had to be my sister's advocate - my sister is not a medicare or medicaid patient and it is a cash patient. I want her to have beauty around her for the next 6 months of her life, and Twin Lakes is just awful

I found Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for my friend because they had opening. We were having trouble finding any place that had an opening. My friend also was Covid positive and so they were one of the only places that take Covid positive people at that time. He is in there for rehab but he's also under skilled nursing because he's Covid positive. I think it's been almost 2 weeks now. His nurse seems to be really nice and he seems to be okay there. He has complained about the food not being very good, but that's what he does whenever he goes some place different. It's also near the Westmoreland mall.

This place is the worst! Nurses don't care, "food" is inedible! I spent, or did, time here after a major surgery. Developed blood clots and lucky for me I insisted on going to the ER. The "doctor " should be used for malpractice since he ignored my condition! Very bad place. The only good thing was the PT, OT people. Don't go here unless you are ready to give up and die!!!

Nurses/aides do not know how to care for pulmonary and PEG fed patient. Husband was left laying flat on his back & developed pneumonia within a week, had to go to an ICU at local hospital for 2 weeks. Second time there was taken by ambulance to ER at local hospital after only 36 hours & had bad UTI with beginning of sepsis. Would not use this place if there are other options.

I was in this facility. It was advertized as being able to take care of wounds using a wound vac. The staff had no idea of what they were doing. I looked up the proper procedure for applying the bandage on YouTube and it only made matters worse. At that point it was decided that the pump wasn't nessesarry. My feet began to swell and my breathing got bad.I have a history of congestive heart failure. I knew what was wrong, and explained it to everybody, that would listen. I told them that I took 70mg of lasics twice a day. They give me 5mg twice a WEEK. First I was diagnosed with pnumonia, then they said my right lung was collapsing. I got so sick I demanded to be taken to a hospital. Opon arrival at the hospital I was placed in ICU for 2 weeks. A Dr. In ICU made the statement that I would have been dead after a couple more days of the care I was receiving. This place is just a place to lay and wait to die. Oh and by the way the food really sucked big time!

If you have ANY other options, DO NOT put a loved one in this facility. My poor Father in Law is unable to care for himself, and apparently nobody in this facility has the time or cares to care for him either. The rooms are filthy, with syringes under the chair (for at least 6 days), I have only ever had one nurse talk to us or answer any questions about his progress. Most of the times, when visiting, the nurses are circled together talking amongst themselves. I have only seen aides doing any kind of care. It is a dark, stinky, gloomy facility, not conducive to healing or making any progress. I, unfortunately, believe my father in law will be left to die in this facility as they are NOT providing any kind of care that would make me believe that he will get any better, in fact, he has declined rapidly since arriving in the place. I would give this facility 0 stars if I could.

This week, my father needed cleaned up. The other gentleman in the room said it's the 3rd time that someone had to request cleaning. Several folks were on their cell phones and didn't seem to care. Administrator has been made aware of the incidents. We'll see if they improve their services!

This facility has great wound care, rehab, and respiratory care. Also, a huge renovation of the building is in progress. I have no complaints with the care my grandmother is receiving.

My father was a resident at MVSCC. Although the satff was friendly, they were definitely understaffed. I asked the CNA how many residents she was assigned to; the answer was 17! No wonder it would take them 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to answer the callbell. The carpet smells of urine and various other bodily fluids. There isn't any heat in the residents bathrooms! Some of the meals served I wouldn't feed to my dog much less my loved one.

I BELIEVE THEY ARE UNDERSTAFF,ALTHOUGH WHAT THEY DO HAVE ARE FRIENDLY. THE ROOMS ARE DIRTY & SMELLY. AS YOU WALK DOWN THE HALL ESPECIALLY IN MELLON, THE STENCH COMING FROM THOSE ROOMS ARE SICKENING. IF YOU NEED ATTENTION, YOU DON'T RECEIVE IT UNTIL IT TOO LATE.
