I suggest continue to look and not choose here. The place currently under covid has no real protocol they basically sit gloves,masks, and gowns outside the affected rooms as the resident is pretty much left to fend for themselves. They leave the residents just sitting out in the hall for extended periods of time and ignore the residents wishes . They caretakers don’t wash or sanitize prior or after they care for a resident, this was observed multiple times. They come in and care for a resident and leave them sitting on/in soiled linens when the family is forced to fix their complete neglect. And lastly when an actual event happens they don’t listen to family concerns and they do whatever they please and give the same lame corporate answer of we don’t have control over that. …I urge you to seek other care facilities and pass this one by.

Caring Person

The rooms are okay. The food is horrible. The staff seem very busy and every time I visit there are huddled in there room/office area. I do not ever see my friend getting the care they need and I can't say I'm not disappointed. She is old a frail and could use more help then she is receiving. I bring her in food and have to feed her as she can hardly feed herself. I'm thinking about contacting an attorney to access this situation. It also should be much cleaner in there as it only takes a few minutes to mop a floor.

My mother is in The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh. They're in the middle of renovating it, so it's improving. The outside is beautiful, and the inside needed to be upgraded, though they're well into an upgrade of the interior. I've got pretty good feelings there. They're pretty proactive with me when it comes to my mother's care, and she improved dramatically since she got there. Their rooms only have shared bathrooms. It's skilled nursing so it's pretty expensive. You're looking at $12,000 a month, which is a lot of money.

My mom was in rehab at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh for a month. Their rehabilitation staff was really good. The nurses and physical rehabilitation people are great. The office staff members were all about the money. You're on a timer, and they're ready to throw you out as soon as they can. The food wasn't bad. The facility was pretty clean and well maintained. They have bingo. I think they had like a church that could mean for prayer or whatever.

Rehabilitation and Nursing Center was a very clean community and they did their best to take care of all their patients. They're just understaffed and overwhelmed. The grounds and location are very nice. My mother's room was nice and big enough. They have activities for the seniors as well.
