I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother moved into Forest City Personal Care. It seemed to be a very good fit because it's a small facility, and the people seemed very friendly. It was all on one floor, and she just really likes it there. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room, and she likes the food. They have TV/movie times that she has gone to. They have music with people who come in with live music. They do arts and crafts things, and they also do bingo and other games similar to that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved into Forest City Personal Care. It is a very nice community. The location is important. The price was very good. The staff is very sweet. Everybody is always smiling and upbeat. My mom has dementia, and they normally don't take dementia patients, but she doesn't wander, so they took her anyway. They do try to engage her in all the activities that they do. They play music at night. They do get my mom up and make sure she gets her meals which is important. She's not just sitting in her room alone all day. She likes the food. The rooms are small. But the whole place, in general, is very clean. They handle problems and any issues very quickly. They have a hairdresser that comes in once a week. They have a local doctor who can handle immediate medical issues. They have a drugstore. They handle everything, which makes my life easier that I don't have to worry if my mom's getting this or that. They handle her medications. My mom has her own TV in her room. She has a phone. These are additional charges, but she's got all the comfort that she wants. The manager of the place is sharp and excellent.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved into Forest City Personal Care. It appears to be a home with a lot of bedrooms, two porches, and two living rooms, one where they do activities and one where they relax. The place is homey and the staff is wonderful and very caring. They're concerned about each resident. They have a cafeteria-style dining room but you get served your meals, and they have alternatives if you don't like what is being served. They have bingo and pass the ball. In the summer, they take them to a park or a casino. They have physical, speech, and occupational therapy on site, and a beautician who comes in.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Friend seems happy and well adjusted. Very clean and well kept. The biggest complaint that comes from him and friends is the food. Too much pasta and not enough meat and potatoes. Also complained it is sometimes cold. Also that they are rushed out of dining room by employees saying they want to go home.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My wife is in a nursing home now at Forest City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It is very good. They're unbelievable, monderful and extremely caring people. It is almost like you're in a home. My wife has already made tremendous improvement. She was very ill, had a UTI, and broke her hip. They also do rehabilitation.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We chose the place for my mother in law and she has been here for a few weeks now. Forest City is very nice and clean. They are well staffed. The doctors and nurses were very compassionate and they have been very communicative with us when it comes to my mother-in-law’s situation. We are satisfied about their service.

Smalltown facility with heart

My family's experience with the Forest City Personal Care facility was very positive. The facility is clean, the food is good, and the staff is dedicated to the residents. The staff communicates with the family well, and never hesitated to give our family member the care she needed. Any small problems that arose were always taken care of promptly, and follow up with the family was never a problem. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility, however, as with any other life decision, I would recommend you visit the faciity, interview the staff, and get references from residents or their families.
