My parents moved in at Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg the first week of December. The staff has been helpful and pleasant. Their apartment is clean. It has been totally remodeled and freshly painted. My dad says the food is so-so, but my mom says everything has been very good. The dining area is very clean, and it seems pleasant. They seem to enjoy the company of the people there. I think there could be a few more activities. My parents are slow to get involved with the activities. I would like to see them more involved. I think they need to be encouraged more. The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly.

Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg was okay. The rooms were just small and a little dated. It's small, so everything about it felt cramped. The hallways were small, too, but the place was clean. The staff who assisted us was very helpful and informative. Having different levels of care was a plus for them, and I would have considered putting my brother-in-law in there, but they couldn't take him because of the wound he had. I like the staff and the place, but they said he was too high for their level of care. We were looking for assisted living for him.

My father was at Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg for a month. When we initially visited, we felt that it was welcoming and it was just kind of a nice, comfortable place. And of course, the people who gave us the tour made us feel welcome and comfortable. We chose one of the smaller rooms because we wanted him to get socialization, so he wouldn't just sit in his room all day long. They provide a bed, a nightstand, and a dresser, and that's all that they provide. Everything else you have to provide. If you want to have a TV, you have to put a TV in there. If you want a chair, you have to put a chair in there for him. They don't provide a lot for their residents. I sat at the table with him and 3 other gentlemen while they ate, usually at lunchtime, and they seemed to enjoy it. The facility seemed clean. I didn't see anything dirty or anything like that. They have activities and programs, like sitting and doing some exercises. They have trivia and bingo, and they have tables with puzzles and stuff. I will not give them very high scores based on the care that he received and how I saw different people treating the residents. In his first 8 days, I already had 5 incidents with my father that I had to report to them. They forgot to take him to meals. One time, they didn't put him to bed at night. He sat in a chair all night long waiting to get put to bed. As far as I'm concerned, just because the facility looks good and it's clean, it doesn't mean anything good about it. Because it's the care that they give the residents where the score should be. They kept the place clean. It was just that the care that he received was substandard.

I toured Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg. It's an absolutely beautiful setting. It's in the mountains. The grounds were spacious, wooded, and well-kept. The independent living area was very nice. The apartments there are large and all one-bedroom. They're very spacious. The staff who accommodated us was the manager of the facility, and she was informative, positive, and very helpful. The dining area for independent living was small but very clean. They were in the process of cooking dinner, which smelled very good. They had bingo activities. They had trips to the local theaters. I can't remember everything that was on the activity list, but it was a very full activity from what I remember. If I could convince my mother to move in there today, I would.

My mom is currently at Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg. The positives are that the staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean, and they offer a lot of different activities for the residents. The negative thing I would say is the communication, it should be up to standard. When my mom got sent to the hospital, things were not communicated very well, so I'd say that the communication is a little bit under par. My mom's not happy about the food, and the way that they do the meals. I attended a town hall meeting the day my mom moved in, so I heard residents speak about it. The way the meals are set up is they wait for all the residents to come into the dining hall before they start serving, and that can take a while because some of the elderly are in wheelchairs, and some are walking out with walkers. So what happens is the food gets cold waiting on everyone to attend the meal. The food itself, I haven't tried it but my mom says it's not very great and she's not thrilled with it. They usually have something to do in the morning, they play bingo, they do trivia, and they make a lot of different things like when they made a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. They bring dogs in for the residents, they have people come in and play music, and they do bus trips to Walmart and Dollar General for people that want to get out and participate in that when the weather's ok. They also have puzzles there for the residents to work on, they havea nice little activities room for people to sit in if they don't want to be in their room, so it's nice. They also have a nice calendar that has everything on there for each day, what they want to offer. They pretty much try to keep the residents engaged.

We toured Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg. It was a nice facility. It didn't feel like a facility, it felt like a home. Everybody seemed happy there. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and helpful and answered our questions. The bedroom was nice and cozy. You could bring your pet along. They had bingo and sing-alongs. The only thing I did not like was that it was like a hilly campus. Although my dad can live on his own, he had to come down a hill and walk up a hill if he wanted to go for walks around the area, which I didn't find very safe.

Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg is wonderful. I can't believe that we didn't know about it before because it has everything that we need. My dad's moving into an independent living apartment, but they also have memory care, assisted living, and a nursing home facility on-site. My mom is currently in a nursing home and probably will be remaining in a nursing home so we are going to be moving her from the nursing home where she is to the nursing home there at Paramount so that she and my dad are in the same location. We don't have to worry about him driving to go see her. His driving is the issue that we've got right now, which is why we're moving him from a house to an apartment that has the shuttle facilities and everything. They also have activities to keep them busy so it's just a fantastic place. We were only really interested in independent living, personal care, and the nursing home so we looked at those facilities there. The place was gorgeous. It's like being at a mountain retreat.

Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg was small and quaint and they had a great staff resident ratio. I love that they had big wide halls and it seemed roomy, but some of the rooms were incredibly small and I didn't like the rooms. They seemed a little stuffy. The studios were way too small. They had some amazing apartments, but the studios looked more like a very large bathroom. I don't know how you could even fit a bed in. The staff was nice, very kind, and very informative. It didn't sound like they had many activities that they told me about, and I didn't see any. I passed by the dining area and it was very nice. The whole place looked like it was remodeled recently. It had beautiful surroundings around it. The studio was so small, I could never put somebody in a small room like that. The apartment was very nice, but I don't think my father would've qualified for his needs. The place was very clean and I liked that it was so new and very nice.

I just did a quick tour of Paramount Senior Living Chambersburg. It was very clean, and very homey. They said they provide activities, but a lot of it was closed down because of COVID. I've only interacted with only two people, I guess one was a social worker, and the other was the marketing person, and they were very pleasant and very helpful.

My parents are residents of Paramount Senior Living. Other than the food, I like it. The amenities are very good. I have a meeting with them at 3:00 p.m. to discuss some concerns with them, so they always make themselves available to listen. They seem to act promptly on anything that I need to talk about. The rooms are beautiful. The staff members are amazing. There is no swimming pool, but they have a physical therapy room.

My father was in memory care. Thought everything was going fine until the Village of Laurel Run exhausted all his funds in 8 months ,all along telling me not to worry they will take what he gets in. Guess what people ? He was discharged and not allowed to return .Excuse, was he hit someone. Why wasn't the person who hit him with a mop handle ,gave him a black eye was not discharged. Watch this place, they are after your money, they preden to care.

Everyone at The Village of Laurel Run has been great. They seemed to provide good service, and he likes everyone there. They are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The cleanliness to me looks good, and he is OK with the food. It’s a little better than average.

The Village of Laurel Run was a very nice and very peaceful community. They were wonderful people and were more than accommodating. The care that they got by hospice was very nice. Their cottage was very large. They had maybe 20 cottages and apartments also. I ate in their dining room, and the food was good. The dining room was small, but nobody ate at the same time, so it was nice. They had a van that took people to different functions.
