I visited this facility

I went to Easton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It looks clean compared to the last place my dad was in. The staff seems friendly. The rooms look pretty good. He just has to get a recliner and then we'll be happy. They're a little bit pricey for the long term. They had just kind of a couple loungers, and you can go watch TV, and do puzzles together. But I didn't see any kind of exercise other than PT.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother was a resident at Manorcare in Easton for 4 months. He had dementia and cancer. They were short staffed. When you called there it was difficult to get a hold of anyone at the nurses station and administrative office. When I went to visit I would find my brother in stained clothing all the time. When I would look for clothes there would nothing or little to put on him. They didn’t get the laundry done . I kept bringing him more clothes. My brother fell a few times and they would call to let me know. But the last day he was in that facility he fell 4 times. The fourth time was fatal. They didn’t have a monitor on him so they would know when he was getting up.I called to talk to them several times since and no one would return my call. There are several good nurses there but obviously not enough. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I am/was a resident of this facility

I went to ManorCare Health Services-Easton for rehabilitation. I was there for three weeks, and I liked it. Their rehab was better because they found solutions for me that allowed me to go back home. There were a couple things I didn't like about it, but I preferred it compared to the others. The food was better, and they found solutions that worked for me. They provided exercises and the basic care. I couldn't stand up by myself and I couldn't get to the bathroom initially, but by the end I was able to use the bathroom because I had seat assistance. They got me out of there in three weeks and I was able to come home. They did their job.

Provider Response

Thanks for sharing, Julie! We are glad to hear how happy you were with your recovery and customized care plan at our center.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mother stayed here for rehabilitation after knee surgery. The staff that tended to her worked hard and seemed caring, but I couldn't get specific answers about her medical condition. No one could tell me who was in charge, or they were never available. She had a stomach virus, and they had her on restricted fluids, and no one knew why or was concerned about changing it. When I busted her out of there after a week, they informed me I had to do admittance paperwork! Very scary. I have a friend who also had a terrible experience there.

I visited this facility

The times I did visit my grandmother at this facility it seemed there was an almost constant staff shortage. When patients needed assistance it would take quite a while for them to get assistance and because she was on a higher level of independence I believe it took even longer to get help. The staff usually seemed irritated and spread to thin. I would also hear staff arguing about their breaks and some complaining that they haven't even had a break. The facility is very nice-looking and there is plenty of room for the patients to move around. There are also staff that work in recreation who create programs that involve the residents like sewing, movie night, special holiday programs etc... I believe that the patients do pay a pretty penny to reside there and I wonder if it's too much money considering the irritated staff and the wait to receive assistance.
