My sister stayed at Brandywine Living at Senior Suites for respite care for two weeks. It was very nice. The personnel were very nice, too. The place was clean. The common spaces were very nice. They have a lot of activities going on all during the day. They were all different ones that you can go to or not.

My father moved in at Brandywine Living at Senior Suites. The facility seems nice, clean and well-maintained. We just moved in today, so I can't speak to the care yet. We have been unbelievably impressed with the process of providing information and being as accommodating as they possibly could be. His room is very nice, and we are very happy with it. They have a barber shop and a nice activity room. There is a nice outdoor courtyard space that is all enclosed, so people can't leave and get lost. We had one meal, so I'm not sure I can speak to the overall quality of everything. Under COVID, they don't want visitors to be able to eat with family members. However, we were able to eat with my father after hours when we were there at 2:00 pm. There was no one else in the dining room. The one thing we liked about their dining facility was that they have a 12-hour open dining. If you want to come down in between meals and have breakfast at 2:00 in the afternoon, you can. They have standard items that they have on their menu all the time. You can order those any time within those 12 hours. And then they have specials for every meal that is unique. And they're usually only served during the regular meal time periods. We like the flexibility of dining, not having to eat only at specified times.

My dad will move to Brandywine Living at Senior Suites. I like the feel of the place, I felt that it was appropriate for my father. I felt like some of the rooms were a little bit dark, and some were better. What stuck out was that the air conditioning was the ugly part of the room. The community is beautiful and the staff that I met was wonderful, they showed me the whole place. The main entrance living room area, the dining area, they have a theater room, and like a nice bar lounge. They also have a courtyard, though I thought the courtyard could use a little life. Maybe adding a comfortable shading out there would be nice.

My loving, charismatic grandpop has always had a larger than life personality. My grandmom always had a way of grounding him and caring for him, most times better than he for himself! When we lost our beloved grandmom, we knew it was only a matter of time before the daily tasks of living in his house, on his own, would become too much for him to handle. It was extremely emotional making the decision to sell his home and move my grandpop into Senior Suites. We were worried about his adjustment initially, however my family has never second guessed our decision. Since his move to what we now call his “apartment” (Private suite with full bath), my grandpop has gained more than we could have ever wished for him; a strong community of friends and companions, a staff that loves and cares for him as if he were their own dad/grandpop, a schedule that has more social activities than I can keep up with, and a peace of mind in knowing that he is no longer living alone. As his grandchildren, we couldn’t be happier to see him have his spunk back. Within the first year of his new residency, he was on the “Senior” Homecoming Court and won Homecoming King, he has established “his” seat in one of the beautiful rockers out on the front porch where he can be found solving the world’s problems in deep discussions with his new friends, he has developed relationships with nursing team (Thank you God for these angels), and he now has a sense of security that cannot be replicated anywhere else. Most times if we take him out, he is asking us “when it will be time to go back to the apartment?” This confirms for us, he is exactly where he belongs .

When my father couldn't live alone anymore, I spent a great deal of time researching and visiting assisted living facilities in the area. I am glad that we chose Brandywine Senior Suites for my father. I immediately noticed the homey feel and cleanliness when I went to visit. The dining area is beautiful. There are many seatings during the day so the residents can choose when they would like to dine. Nice music always accompanies a meal. The staff is top notch. They are always helpful and attentive. Should I every need to discuss my father's needs, they are always available.

When my mother's health started to decline and she was unable to venture the steps, my family started looking for her next home. It is not an easy step to take. The place we wanted for my mother had to be a place that we felt as comfortable and she would. My first contact with Brandywine was all positive. The professionalism of all the staff at Brandywine was very encouraging to start. My first tour of the building was very enlightening. I was pleasantly surprised by the homey feel of the place. The residents are so nice and friendly. All the staff stops and chats with the residents All her treasures of pictures and knick knacks are proudly displayed. My mother enjoys the activities that are offered. She does exercise everyday, bingo, casino games, crafting and she even gets her hair done! When my mother needs assistance in getting dressed or showering, the aides are always accommodating and gentle. My mother loves it at Brandywine.

After researching and visiting other assisted living facilities in the area, we chose Brandywine for my Mom and I am very glad that we did. Mom is only 74 but needs help with all of the activities of daily living and she has been at Brandywine for nearly a year. The staff is exceptionally caring and does an excellent job of seeing to my Mom's needs. There are a variety of activities and celebrations for the residents. The facility itself is clean and well kept with a very good dining room. We are so glad we chose Brandywine!

Once too often, we had found my Grandmother unresponsive in her own regular apartment and decided it was time for a change of environment! After searching the internet for local places, we had accrued a very short list of facilities that had passed our initial requirements. Together with my Mother, we devised a laundry list of questions that we planned on asking at our visit. The staff was GREAT! Not only did they entertain our 70+ question test (within an hour of us emailing it to them), but they dedicated the time to make sure we knew everything necessary and still answered more emails afterwards!!! Since moving my Grandmother in, she seems to be very well taken care of. She no longer naps all day long, getting her days and nights confused. The activities keep her busy most of the time and we've even been invited to participate along with her. The staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and doesn't wreak of urine. The tenants are a joy to be around and seem pleased with their accommodations. I wish they would be able to work with the health insurance, but am pleased with everything else. I would definitely recommend it as a place to look into for anyone else facing this stage in life!!!

Right now, my mother is in Brandywine, which is near where my brother lives. It's lousy. There's a dining room and an upstairs room with two activities. That's about it for facilities. It's awful. It's soggy stuff on top of rice or pasta. They never make anything like a pork chop or chicken leg, just chunks of stuff. It's not what I would call healthy. They play bingo, even my mother who's 94, but all they do is play bingo and sit around. That's pretty much it. They have some things but what if you can't go out or if you're not mobile. I'm paying $7,000 a month, and they clean her little tiny room and don't provide a whole lot of help. There are nurses that dispense medication. They've been through two directors since we've been there. The person that's in charge of the health issues has twice not shown up when she made meetings with baloney excuses. The person that helps each resident out changes constantly so my mother has no idea what their names are. There's a new director, so I'm holding out that somebody is going to actually do something about the place.

Brandywine seemed very welcoming, and the people receive proper attention. They are very one-on-one. They know the people, and they know about them. You have a feeling that even though there are several aides perhaps that are checking in and helping, that they are aware of each of the needs of the patients. I was very impressed with their attentiveness. It is smaller than many and especially for my mother, it was important to us. She is not just here among many. It is a small place, but the facilities are good.

My friend is in Brandywine. It is warm and friendly. They have something every day. They have an activities coordinator. The have field trips in different places. They take rides in the country. They do a lot of stuff. The food is good. They have lunch and dinner, and they have special foods for special events. The staff visits her a couple of times a day and does her vitals. They are great. I know quite a few of them, and they are very approachable. She has a one-bedroom apartment, and she had her own things there. It is spacious, clean, and nice.

Catherine Quinn has been very, very helpful through the entire process. The whole staff is very helpful, and takes care of my mother very well! They keep us well informed, regarding Mom, and all activities. I feel safe having her there.

My mother is a resident at Brandywine. Our family is so thankful for the excellent care she receives. The nursing staff is so patient with her, especially as she is developing some forgetfulness. If ever a health issue arises, a nurse will call the family immediately to discuss any concerns we might have. The availability of "all day dining" allows her flexibility to have food options throughout the day, not just during mealtimes. Brandywine is always clean and bright. We are completely satisfied with every aspect of Mom's care.

My mother is a resident of the Reflections (memory care) unit at Brandywine Suites. The careworkers and nurses in Reflections are very hard working, caring people. My mother has been there for several years and whenever I have had an issue or question, it has been addressed to my satisfaction. In this very stressful world, knowing my mother is well taken care of is not something I need to worry about.

I like Brandywine very much. The rooms were very nice and spacious. They were also fairly new, which was nice. From what I saw, the staff were very nice. They have activities there. They have a little bar and a gourmet restaurant style dining room, which was nice. I noticed that the facility was clean and very well-kept. I wish I could afford to send Mom here.

Brandywine Assisted Living seemed very nice and caring. I spoke with some of the people that live there and they're very happy there. The accommodations are wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious. We've eaten there a couple of times. It's marvelous. My mom is in a 2-bedroom apartment. It could be a little bigger, but it's not major. There's a whole activity calendar of all kinds of activities. They have bingo, a beauty salon, and they're having a Valentine's party. I know they have an exercise class because my mom has been in that. Of all that I've seen, I think this is one of the nicest.

The place that my uncle had been was a rehabilitation hospital and whenever I'd go there I'd see a bunch of zombies. I don't experience that at all with Brandywine Assisted Living at Senior Suites, the residents there are happy. The place is very clean and has a lot of activities for the residents. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

During any visits I had to this facility it was apparent that the staff respects their residents and sees them in the human light rather than as a number. I have seen their care team go up and beyond the call of duty to see that needs were met. Also impressive was the activity and marketing team, who, on a day I visited and there was a closed door situation going on due to a virus outbreak......they were making individual stops to the residents to see what they could do to fill their day since out of room activities were not available. They scrambled to take care of those who were sick, and yet reach out to those affected only by being somewhat sequestered. This group works as a family unit and it seems to not matter what the titles are...they work together to bring a feeling of care to their residents.
