My husband moved to Celebration Villa of Dillsburg. It's a nice facility. They need more help. They are lacking help. The staff was wonderful and very caring. Some of them are more knowledgeable than others. There are a few that are not very knowledgeable when it comes to nursing care, so that's an issue. The dietary head is wonderful, and the food is very, very good. The facility, it's 20 years old, and the bathrooms need some updating. They have many activities. The activities director, Wendy, is wonderful. She keeps the residents really busy with bingo and outings, and movies and ice cream socials.

I toured Celebration Villa of Dillsburg. I was very impressed with the friendliness, the cleanliness, and just the overall appearance of the place. They seemed like they had a really nice program. They had six levels of care. I felt that if my husband worked out there, that might be a place where he could progress if needed. He needs help with feeding, toileting, and bathing, and they seemed to be fine with that. The single rooms were very lovely. I think I can live in one if I had to. Everybody looked very happy. I had a very good feeling about it. They seemed very comfortable. It had a club-like feeling. It didn't have that nursing home feel or smell. Everybody has their own rooms and they do two-hour checks on them at night. No matter what their needs are, they do that. I just felt like he would be very safe there, and very cared for. They've actually reached out to me twice and offered meals or anything else we might need in the meantime. I just got a really good feeling for the place. The one thing I really liked about this place is I asked the staff how much time I would need to give them when I would need a respite, and he said 48 hours. There were people sitting outside, and I even met some of the people that work there, and they were very friendly and nice.

We had an in-person tour of Celebration Villa of Dillsburg. One of the things my brother liked was that it was small. It felt more homelike and had a friendly atmosphere. I liked that they had outdoor facilities. They had the courtyard in the center, so if a person wandered, they could still be outside and not like leashed to someone else, but be safe. They have physical and occupational therapy coming in. We liked the activity program that was outlined for us. My brother felt like he would be happy and accepted there. The staff was very welcoming. He sent me a confirmation email ahead of time with a picture of what the outside of the facility looked like so that we would not have trouble finding it when we got there. He was very friendly and spent as much time as we felt we needed. The dining area was not super fancy, but it looked clean and nice. We were told that the dietitian tries to accommodate individual wants and needs as much as possible.

My parents were residents of Celebration Villa of Dillsburg. I thought it was very well run, was very personalized, and they had a lot of activities. Unfortunately, my parents moved in during COVID and they were locked down for most of the time that they were there. My father ended up passing away and my mother moved back home then. The staff were very committed and always available, that we were aware of. They had an activities director that was amazing. And I believe she's still there. The activities were very limited because of COVID, but they did hallway bingo where they had the residents come outside of their door so they were kept apart enough and they played bingo. They did ice cream deliveries to the residents because they couldn't have a social. So those are two that I remember. I know they were a little bit more expensive, probably because they had a nurse on duty 24/7, which was very useful depending on the type of care you need for your parents.

We were very happy touring Celebration Villa of Dillsburg. It was a wonderful place. The residents that we talked to seemed very happy. There were a lot of activities to do. It just seems like the workers truly care for the residents. They showed us the studios and the cafeteria. We also saw the general meeting area, where they have movies and do activities. We did a tour of the room itself, as well as some of the rooms that actually had furniture. We also saw some rooms that did not have furniture. There were courtyards, too; that was cool.

As soon as you enter, the staff is welcoming and very professional. I have been visiting my dad at this facility for several months now and have only great things to report. Lee at the front desk is very helpful and always knows what my dad has been doing throughout the day. The daily excursions for residents provide a nice break to the normal routine.

We toured and we thought it was very nice. The girl that helped us was very informative. She took us through the whole thing and explained everything. It was a great experience. When you're going from a whole full house to a little room, I don't know how to describe that; It's very small, that's all I mean. I would say it's 75 - 80 percent good; I didn't go around looking at things extremely well. It's very doable and livable. The dining area looked very nice, but I did not try any of their food. What I liked about it is, it's five minutes from where my parents live now. I liked that it was all on one floor. My mother still drives, so I like that it would be easy access for her, and she's familiar with that community. It's kind of hard to tell when you've only been there for a half-hour to an hour and you're doing a lot of talking with the woman who's telling us all about it, and then we go through the halls and all that. But I think overall, it was probably very nice. The person who gave us the tour was excellent. I liked them because we got to go into rooms, whether there were even people who were living in them, we got to see them. Somebody was reading a story to a couple of the residents, so I guess that's an activity.

My brother has moved in. My mother, aunt, and father-in-law were there before. Everybody has been very friendly. They have taken good care of my brother. He likes it there, too. The staff members are very good, very nice and attentive. My brother also says the food is good. They're doing the best they can during this COVID; they absolutely have no COVID in the place.

It had a pleasant environment and good amenities, like a library, but it took independence away from my mother. The people seemed very nice, but it just wasn't a good fit for us.

My mom will be moving in a week or so, and it is very nice. Everybody is very friendly and open. We liked the atmosphere and rooms. The staff seemed to be very good. The dining room was beautiful; they seemed to care about the residents' appetite and preferences.

It was my pick of the four places that I saw. They had nice-sized rooms. I really liked the lady that interviewed me and asked the questions. She was very caring and very concerned and still keeps in touch with me. I liked the atmosphere of the place. The residents seemed like they were happy and enjoyed being there.

All they offer was a little studio apartment. That's not going to work for my parents. They need at least a living space and then a separate bedroom. The place was just not right for them, but everything seemed good. Everyone was very nice. Space-wise, I would not recommend it.

We visited and it is very nice. We really did like it, but it does not have extended care. My mother doesn't want to go a place if she needs to be there for an extended period of time that she would have to move some place else, but it is very nice. The amenities are excellent, and the staff is very nice. We did see some people in the dining room. We saw people out and about, and we were impressed with it. I just think it is very nice, it is decorated nicely, and the staff is very nice.

The room size was just a little bit smaller. I thought that they were acceptable. The staff was very confident, very cheerful and knew what my dad needs. I thought everything was clean, nice. We saw that there were some activities going on while we were there. They seemed appropriate for older people.

It's close to us. My mom's been there since April. She's being treated very well.
