I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was in Nazareth Memory Center. She fell a number of times, and was in and out of the hospital because they were understaffed. They gave her so many drugs that she couldn’t walk anymore. I was happy with her there initially, and I became very close to the administrator, I always felt that she listened to my suggestions, but her hands were tied as far as getting more staff members. The last time my mother fell and went to the hospital, three people also fell and died within those last few months. The rooms were lovely, very nice, modern, clean, and my mother was in a single room. They had a dining room, a small living room, and a lovely activities director for about two years, and then they hired a woman in Maria Joseph who came over and fired the activities director. The residents were left with nothing to do.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Mother was at Emmanuel Center for about a month, and it was better, nicer, cleaner, and safer. The staff was better than average. I guess, she is in the beginnings of dementia. Her issue is that she would think that people didn’t take care of her in a timely manner, but we as her family thought that they were much better. I just admire the work that they tried to do with the patients.
