I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was admitted there on 11/23/21 after surgery at Geisinger for rehab. She was a patient in the Pavilion. Horrible sub standard care! She laid in soiled bed for 3+ hours her first day. No one answers the call bell. We drove from over an hour away and we had to have someone come in and help her. She called me at 4PM that day and said that she had been waiting over an hour for someone to come in. I called nurses station-spoke to the nursing supervisor-She said I see someone going in now. My mother called me at 5PM sobbing because she was now lying in bed soaked. We got there at 615 and had CNA come in and help her. Next day same thing. We got there at 130PM and my mom was lying in bed in feces for 2+ hours. Nurse on shift said someone will be in at 330 then they will clean her up. My sister cleaned her up and we started looking for a new facility. We had a family member with her from breakfast until dinner after that every day that she was there. Dirty room, had to track down her meals on multiple days, no one came to room for hours. Per her doctor, She was to be assisted to bathroom and checked on every 2 hours. We were there.no one came in. She was transferred out on 11/29/21. She is finally getting the care she deserves!

I am a friend or relative of resident

I find this place very dissappointing. Staff at desk will not acknowledge you. You go with a problem and it is like you are not even standing there in front of them. A lot of workers are not even trying. It is hard to watch when they will let a patient lay with soiled adult diapers on and avoid them. They seemed to need a visitor to be riding them to proform their jobs. I waited with my sister for her lunch and it was sitting in the hall. I went to see if it was hers and seen her name. Then I took it in for her to eat. It was cold. It was 2:55 p.m. and she pushed her button for someone to help her with the bed pan. Aid came and said it was shift change and said next shift would be in shortly. At 3:30 p.m. I tracked down help. Also, man across hall was having bathroom problems, also. Tried to get him help. The people at the desk were no help. They pretty much ignored me. The man could have fallen out of bed. He really needed help. My sister has no feeling on left side and she definetly needed help. These patients know when they need help and it is the facilitiy's responsibility to maked sure the help is there for them. I go there often and I am very disappointed in how poorly it is run. They should be ashamed.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother was at Grandview, and it was not good. She hated every minute of it. I think they did what they had to do, and it was not a great place. The rooms and the staff were average, and she didn’t like the food.

I visited this facility

it seems to be a well run facility the staff there genuinely seems to care about the well being of my girlfriend even though she did injure herself while she was there they were very quick to help her and do what they could to help her with the injury none of which was any of their doing she just put more pressure on her wrist then it could handle. she has been there quite a bit longer then any of us would of liked or expected, but she has had a hard time walking and it is gonna take a while for her legs to get back in shape enough for her to come home and it seems like she is being well taken care of there as i said they seem to have a nice staff she has quite a few different staff members that help her at various hours, but she will probably need a lot more therapy and probably a major knee surgery before she can come home which will require even more therapy she has a long road ahead but they do seem to have a very knowledgeable staff there and even though she is not happy being there she is being well taken care of while she is there.
