My sister has moved into Atria at Cranberry Woods. It's a nice place. It's very new. I think the building is less than five years old, so everything is pretty new and some of the apartments haven't even been lived in yet. The people that work there are very nice. They're very conscientious and helpful. The hardest part with independent living is making sure that the person going there is motivated to get out of their room because they have a lot to do. You can sign up and their shuttle will take you shopping. They will also take you to doctor's appointments if they're within 10 miles of the community and there are a lot of them that are. They have a heated pool, so they have some swimming available. They have gym equipment. They have a library. They have a book club, music, a card club, and a billiards table. It's nice that they have plenty to do. The staff are friendly, helpful, and kind. I haven't eaten with my sister there yet, but she said it's really good. They have a restaurant and a bistro, and two of their meals a day, they can choose either to eat at the restaurant or the bistro. The restaurant has a bar in the afternoon if they so desire. People can come in there. They have happy hour around 4. For people who drive, they have parking areas. The other thing that they do is they will do sign-ups for group events like going to the casino or going to a theater or something of that nature. What they do is add it to the following month's rent. It's like a nice hotel. For what you get, it's a little spendy but I think it's worth it for the services.

I went to Atria at Cranberry Woods. The place was fabulous. It was very warm and welcoming. The people were so wonderful, explaining everything, all the wonderful features that the facility has. We went down the hall and literally walked through the whole entire thing, seeing each of the rooms: the art room, the library, and the music room. We went upstairs to see the beauty shop and then across from that is the dining area. And then we looked at two different rooms. The models are set up gorgeous. I wish that they rented them furnished because that would have been perfect for what we need. But anyway, beautiful setup. I can't say enough good things about it. The exercise room was full of people. There was a class there. There were people in the swimming pool. I did see those two classes going on, and there's lots of walking trails there. I used to work in that area, so I know the area very well, and I actually used to go on those walking trails way before Atria was even built. What I like about Atria is that you have the month-to-month rental, because a lot of the other places charge a huge upfront amount. And if something happens the next day or days later or months later you don't get any of that money back. It just is all absorbed. So, I really like that.

Atria at Cranberry Woods looked brand new. There were a lot of amenities. There were choices in different rooms. The food looked appetizing. There were activities and buses to take them places, which I also thought was important. The building was large. They had different food choices. You could do a snack bar as opposed to an actual sit-down meal. They had a pool.

This is not a good memory care residence. While most of the aides are terrific people, they are overworked. Not enough staff and poorly trained in dementia care. Food is served cold and in very small portions. Activities are few and insipid. Housekeeping is poor. Communication is poor. All of these things make it unsafe and unhealthy. There is no medical care and medtechs are undertrained. The sales team oversells memory care. I truly wish Dad’s experience was better. Deeply disappointed. Memory care is ignored compared to independent and assisted living.

My husband was a resident of Atria at Cranberry Woods. My experience was not good. My husband lived there and they did not take care of him. The care was terrible. He wasn't changed often enough, and he developed a rash around his groin area. Then he developed a UTI, which ultimately led to his death. The food is OK. The facilities are beautiful, but the care is awful. Some of the staff don't treat the patients right. If they don't come out of their room, they don't go looking for them. There were very few activities. Most of the time they just all sit around in the dining room, and there's nobody around even watching them. It was expensive. They need more qualified staff and need to have an RN present. They don't even have a thermometer to take their temperature. They need better activities and more of them.

I liked the facilities at Atria at Cranberry Woods. They had a pool and a nice-sized gym. The dining room was very large. They had a private dining room if you needed one for family visits, which was very nice. The staff was very informative, very friendly, and spent a lot of time with us answering questions and giving us the tour. I liked the variety of amenities, the size of the theater, the pool, and the gymnasium. It seems to be very accommodating.

I visited Atria at Cranberry Woods for myself. It was a very nice and clean facility. It's relatively new, and it's very well-appointed. They had different sizes for the rooms. They had a little kitchenette, a living room/sort of dining area, a bedroom, and a bath. And of course, it's all handicap-ready. This facility is only a couple of years old, so it must be ADA-compliant. The hallways were very wide. The doorways and everything in the place looked to me like they were designed with ADA compliance in mind. Pam, the representative that I talked to, was very nice, very helpful, and explained things very well. My issue is I don't know if I want apartment living because I'm used to living in a house. There was a courtyard, a small pool, and indoor and outdoor parking, which was very nice.

Atria at Cranberry Woods was a very clean and nice place. The staff was very nice. As far as the carpeting goes, there was nothing to fall on or anything. Everything was on a flat floor, so it seemed very safe. They had a pool, a beauty salon, and a cafeteria.

Atria at Cranberry Woods was beautiful. I would like to live there myself. It was very well organized. They had a lot of activities for their residents. They had the residents grouped in such a manner that the same level of care is altogether. I think it would have been a good fit for my father had he wanted to move out of his area. The only staff that I met was the manager and she was very helpful. She provided a lot of information. I did not try the food there but they gave me free cookies to take back to my dad from their chef. They showed me their schedule of activities. They had an indoor pool, a spa, a hair salon, and yoga and walking clubs. They also had off-site activities that the residents would sign up for. They had several things going on every day.

I'm at Atria at Cranberry Woods. The facility is just getting started, It isn't filled yet, so there's a lot of quirks in it. However, they're very caring and they give you help in any way they can. The people are extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions or anything like that. They're doing some funding through the community. There's a lot of activities. The food is excellent, and the service is great. I've been here almost two months now and I'm very satisfied with it. They have many different rooms. They have two bedrooms, some with porches, some with not, one bedrooms, some are big, some are small. They have different sizes. Because it's new, there's a lot of quirks, but outside of that, I think it's very doable. The staff is more than willing to help and very friendly. The first time that I was in here, people who I thought that I had never seen called me by my first name. They still do. Every employee here calls me by my first name, knows my face and knows my name. The food is excellent. For lunches, there are probably about 20 choices, for dinner probably 15. They have two restaurants; one is a bistro and one is a full-fledged restaurant where they have waiters and people who wait on you and they also know you by name. They have a lot of activities for the people. They have a lot of exercise. They have an exercise room and a pool. They have instructors in the pool where you can do water aerobics, and people will help you in and out of the pool. There's always someone there to help you. It's the best service. The money that I'm paying is extremely high, but not high for what it is. I'm not used to paying this kind of money, but for everything that you get from these people, I think that it's worth it. There is an assisted living here, but I don't live in it. This is senior living, and it's like a hotel. There's a lobby when you walk in. There's always someone at the desk at the lobby. Every day you check in, and every day you get your temperature taken because of COVID. There is always someone there who knows if you're not responding every day and they will call you and check on you.

Atria at Cranberry Woods is fantastic; it was just exactly what I was looking for. They have a pool, beauty shops, a massage room, and a washer and dryer. They have a kitchenette, they have a stove, and the rooms are good sized with lots of closets. The staff was fantastic. They were so friendly and outstanding, and they made you feel very welcome.

My visit at Atria was very positive. I saw several apartments, and toured the building. They have everything and I was kinda surprised that there was such a difference in each apartment, size wise. The one that I really liked did not have enough closet space. It only had 1 walk-in closet in the bedroom and that's just not enough, but other than that, I would've really enjoyed it. They have a kitchen, it's very modern. They have what they call an oven mudroom when you come in; and you can hang your purse or your coats and stuff. The staff was wonderful. There were only 2 elevators, and there was 4 floors, and the elevators were pretty far from some of the units. Even when you're moving in, you have to use one of those elevators, I thought they would've had a service elevator or something to use.
