My mom was at Legacy Gardens of Bristol. I really liked that community. The problem was they didn't have a separate memory care unit, so she was mixed with other people. They said that they handled dementia patients, but they said, "We couldn't keep her here because she wanders," which to me is the definition of dementia. So we had to move her out of there quickly. I liked the building. It was a nice little building. I liked that it was a smaller community. They had a community room right by where my mom was. They always played card games with the residents. They had games where they would throw a beach ball and they would all take turns catching it and throwing it. They did some arts and crafts with them. It was a nice community, but I don't think it is a good place for somebody with dementia.

A family member moved into Legacy Gardens recently. The place is small & seems clean but could use a makeover; old wallpaper, carpets & a damaged floor tile that could pose a tripping hazard. The front yard landscaping is in major need of a manicure; has very poor curb appeal. The staff seemed nice but we only saw two staff members there after 4pm. The place didn't smell bad, but is on drab side. Not sure about the food bc visiting is not permitted during meals.

My mother is living in the Legacy Gardens of Bristol. She seemed to like it. They have doctors on staff, so she doesn't have to leave the facility to go see a doctor. They need to upgrade their activities for the seniors. Everybody is very friendly. Besides watching TV in the common area, they do have social activities for the seniors. They have a salon and a lady that comes around who does their nails and stuff like that. My mother gets a veteran's benefit, so that will help her out quite a bit.

Legacy Gardens of Bristol was fine, but it wasn't a good fit for my mother. The staff was very accommodating, and she answered questions. It was an older facility, it was smaller, it wasn't diverse with the client or the staff, and I'm looking for diversity. It wasn't diverse at all. The rooms were kind of old, but they were OK. They were already furnished with twin beds, and I don't think that will accommodate my mother either. The amenities were fine. I wasn't satisfied with the location. I didn't feel like it was as safe as I would like it to be because the patients can go outside. It just didn't feel it was the right atmosphere.

Legacy Gardens of Bristol is very nice. There's only 26 tenants in the whole place, so you know your residents are getting cared for because there's only a few people. So the ratio is awesome. They're very nice, I like them a lot, and I would highly recommend it. I love the staff, they're awesome. They're very nice, caring, and helpful. It's an awesome place, they take excellent care of my mother-in-law, and she seems happy there. So it's a win-win situation. I haven't eaten there, but she says that the food is good. It's clean, it's nice, even her hair and nails are neat. They have plenty of activities and stuff for them to do. They have movies, game nights, bingo, and they have music. You get a lot of value for the money and it's affordable. So it's definitely worth it. It's excellent care.

My mom was isolated and fearful living in an apartment. Now at Legacy Gardens she is happy and comfortable. When I visited her with my teenager we got good feelings about it. Someone braided my mom's hair and it was so cute. I feel so glad to know she is safe and around people and no longer so afraid.

My Father has been a resident of Legacy Gardens for several years. The loving care and support he receives there is beyond exceptional. Every member of the staff consistently goes above and beyond what is practical and necessary to provide a safe and loving family environment. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. If you are lucky enough to find an opening at this facility - you should count your lucky stars.

We were very fortunate to have our Mother live at Legacy Gardens. The care and attention she received was wonderful. My Mother thought of Legacy as her home. Very warm and the care was exceptional.
