There are private rooms and companion rooms here. I wanted a private and they only had a companion available but if I moved in, they would bump me to the top of the wait-list. I was very excited to know that would happen. The food is good and there is always something fun to do. I wish I could go on more trips but my inability to walk far distances limits me but they always are willing to help me. I couldnt imagine living anywhere else.

I was at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford for two months but it's a little more than I can afford. They allow pets. I was well cared for while I was there. It is like living in a high-class hotel. The room is outstanding. It's fully furnished with a refrigerator and a microwave. They have a full kitchen for everybody to use. The cafeteria serves three meals a day that's included in the price. They have health care there 24 hours a day. They have housekeeping, they make your bed every day, they clean your room a couple of times a week, and they take out your trash every day. It was really nice. The staff was outstanding. They're friendly and helpful. They have activities every day. They have seniors coming in, they have bingo, and they have a lot of crafts. They have a lady in there who does nothing but crafts, exercise class, and all kinds of stuff. To anyone who could afford it, I would say go for it.

In looking to get my grandmother placed into assisted living, I was given information regarding Colonial Courtyard. In speaking with the Community Leasing Director, I felt at peace and believed this was the best place for my grandmother. The CLD answered all my questions and got back to my family in relatively short order. They have lots of different activities and events for their residents. The facilities seem to be top notch and the staff and residents have been very outgoing so far. I truly believe my family and I made the right decision by utilizing Colonial Courtyard.

I recently visited this facility in Bedford, it was beautiful and the staff were so friendly. You could feel the great atmosphere when you walked through the door. Residents were engaged in an activity and seemed happy. The place was clean and inviting. I would highly recommend this community.

My son and I visited Colonial Courtyards, spoke with staff, and toured the facility I was very impressed with what we experienced and made arrangements for my husband to become a resident. He died the day he was to be admitted so I can't provide information about food, care, etc. However, I can say that Heidi and her staff were incredibly helpful when my husband died. His death was sudden and unexpected and the family was very shaken. I will always be grateful to Heidi for immediately providing all the assistance we needed to handle a painful and difficult situation. I don't know what we would have done without her support. To me, this is a clear indication of the kind of care my husband would have received if he had been a resident.

We had an in-person tour of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford. They were very accommodating and showed us everything. The people seemed happy talking to us. The facility was clean. They had very nice accommodations. The people took the time to sit with me and get to know my mother. They showed us the kitchen, and people were eating. They have an activity center, a library, and a TV room. They had everything. It looked like somebody in assisted living would enjoy it.

We liked Colonial Courtyard at Bedford, they just couldn't take my mom because of the lesion on her foot. I like the fact that it was more of a community, not like when you think of other old people's homes, it's a place to be active. Everything about their courtyard, the people are very active. It was a community that I liked and thought my mom would thrive in. I like their community atmosphere, and the people seemed caring. The staff that I met there are very caring and seemed to be friends with the residents. Everything was very clean and very nice.

Colonial Courtyard at Bedford was very nice, clean, and well appointed. The girl that walked us through was very nice and very knowledgeable. Mom liked them because she knew some people in there. Everything was nice about that place. It was very clean and well kept. The rooms were nice. We got a takeout meal to show us what they had, and it was fine. They had an activity director, so I'm sure they were busy. We didn't get into any activity room. I didn't see that part of it, but I was told about it. They had crafts, exercise programs, singing, and musical stuff. They take people out in a van to shop or to go see a local highlight.

Community is understaffed and proper care not able to be given. High turnover of staff. No consistency of care.

We don't get showers the way we were told. The meals are not good. Vegetables are soggy. The girls are worked to death. There is not enough help and many of the managers are quitting.

This is a beautiful facility, but extremely understaffed. The residents are now being charged $4.00 more per day, and staff has been cut. The residents are not receiving the care they should. Call bells are not being answered in a timely manner simply because of understaffing. I'm not comfortable having my father at the facility any longer. There are only 3-4 staff on during the overnight hours, how would they get 78 elderly out if there were a fire?

I've been there quite a few times to visit my grandmother. The staff was always personable and friendly. The whole place was carpeted and that made me feel a bit better since my grandmother has epilepsy and is prone to falling. It was always a clean place, which is very important to me. They monitor all of her medication so I know that she's getting the right things that she needs. She has her own small kitchen and bathroom in her private bedroom. She gets three nice meals a day in the dining hall and since she has her own kitchen, she has plenty of snacks in between meal times. They also do all of her laundry for her, which would be difficult for her to carry around. They take her to and from all of her doctors appointments as well. They have Sunday service and group activities for her to participate in.It's about 3000 dollars a month for her to stay there, but with the kinds of services they provide, it's more than worth it. I've had nothing but good experiences since she has started living there and she has as well.
