GS In my eyes you can find a fancy high end place but it is what happens inside those walls. Inside Grace Manor I have found a staff that is caring and kind also who have become family. My mom is in dementia care and she is treated wonderfully. The staff is hard working and are consistent with their care. We couldn’t be happier and we appreciate the way they include dementia patients in activities. Thank you so much for everything!

My father has moved into Grace Manor at North Park. He's in the highest level of care. They have two levels there and he's in the higher one. It's been wonderful. The people are very kind and extremely helpful. They are very open to what my concerns are and what my preferences are for my dad. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that his transition has been as smooth as possible. He just moved rooms, so I haven't seen his new room. His original room was a shared space, and it was large. He had a roommate, but they each have their own walk-in closet, a shared bathroom, their own armchair, bedside table, drawers, and twin bed. I have not tried the food, but I have been there during mealtime and it smelled extremely good. The dining area was nice. They have smaller community tables for the residents to sit at and there is always the option for family members to enjoy the meals together. They have a drink station and a cereal station set out at all times, so you can also get snacks either for yourself or for your family members, which is nice, too. We chose it because the director who gave us the tour seemed to be very down-to-earth and personable as well as cost. It was one of the more affordable places. The staff was very attentive and friendly. He was living in another facility and several of the staff members were also hired at Grace Manor. That was another reason for us because it wasn't a huge transition since there would be some familiar faces there for Dad also. It's an older facility, but they were kind of constantly cleaning while I was there and talking about different upgrades they were doing with replacing flooring, etc. I was happy with that. They're very accommodating. He's on a pureed diet, and they had no problem doing that for him.

My mom is a resident of Grace Manor at North Park. They are very family oriented. We think it's a gorgeous location with a beautiful front porch area that the residents just love. The staff is very kind and compassionate. They do not have security, which I think is disappointing, as far as needing to have a code to get in or anything. People just pretty much come and go. Their residents have been complaining about the food, but the facility has been trying to prepare menus that are more inviting for the residents. It's slightly improving. I have tried the food; I can understand their concern as far as taste and nutritional balance. It is just a mile from a major hospital, and it is also located across the road from a vocational school. They include the residents with activities with some of the students, as far as getting their hair done and manicures. They'll prepare meals for them that they go over there. It's nice, just another way for them to socialize. We're satisfied with the value for the money. They have a wonderful activities director. One thing that she enjoys is, on Saturdays, they do have a nondenominational church service. They'll have barbecues outdoors, play a lot of bingo, do some crafts, and bring in music and entertainment.

My grandmother is in Grace Manor at North Park. The rooms are very nice. She's in her own private room. The staff is very nice, very friendly and very helpful. She's very happy with the food there. They have all kinds of activities. They've had bingo, different parties for different occasions, and stuff like that. She's in the memory care unit.

I did a tour of Grace Manor at North Park. One of the issues is I live out of state, so my brother is the one who would be close, so it's close for him to visit. It's also close to Passavant Hospital, which is pretty good. I liked it because it's a small facility. It's not as new as some of the other ones, but the prices are pretty reasonable. They have a pretty good memory care unit and it's clean. They're painting the walls and redoing carpets. They're trying to keep it updated. So that's sort of nice. Sharon, she's the assistant executive director, she was the one I talked to. She did a great job on the tour, and she showed me around the whole place. It was early in the morning, 10 o'clock, so we looked around. It was pretty nice. She did a good job explaining everything. I have a spreadsheet of different things that I have questions on, so she answered all my questions. The prices are reasonable, and they explain a few things that I didn't think about. It's good that they tend to want to keep their people out of the rooms and doing activities, which is good for them, especially. It's clean, they got new carpets, and they're painting the wall. In the memory care unit, they try to keep the people active and engaged, so it keeps them alert. So, they get into a lot of activities, which is good. I noticed some of the nurses were trying to make people that were not using their walkers, they make sure they get to use their walkers and stuff, to remind them. So that's good, they're taking care of the people. I have their brochure; I know the cost and I have room layouts. They have a beauty salon, weekly housekeeping, and meals with friends. They assist in hygiene, have physical therapy, and have 24 hour trained support nurses and health physicians on call. They also have trips sometimes for people, without the patients that have memory issues. The people that are not as well as poorly off, may have trips and stuff.

Grace Manor at North Park was not what I expected it to be. It was the most expensive place that was the least appealing to me, judging by the appearance of the place itself and the residents. The person who toured me through the place was Tori, she was very nice and very friendly. She was pleased with the place, she's new, and she said it's much better than where she had previously worked. And they are in the process of remodeling rooms. But the rooms that they're still using, that they showed us for my mom, were like the carpets were dirty. They were just old and kind of rundown. The long hallways need to be painted, so it's in the process of being redone. It wasn't very nice, in my opinion, but it's in that process of being changed over. We were there right before dinner and they had residents in the dining rooms waiting for dinner. They have a theater room for them, there was one common room that they had, and upstairs on the memory unit, there was a smaller room. There wasn't a whole lot outside of their own living space. There were a couple of little spaces, but nothing other than their own living space. There was a long porch on the outside with furniture. We saw a couple of workers. In fact, in one of the rooms that she showed me, there was a girl inside the room with the door closed that was supposed to be cleaning.

My mother is in Grace Manor at North Park. They're really caring. They always try to coordinate things where I can see her. We're happy with them. She loves the food; she says it's really good. They have some activities. She's almost 100, so it's hard for her to do too much of anything. They have a waiting room with a piano. We're not allowed in because it was shutdown that nobody was allowed in, but they told us about the amenities. There's a movie room upstairs. They can play cards, puzzles, and stuff like that. I saw the dining hall, but we haven't really been allowed in. They take us out into a waiting room. We make appointments when we could see them, and then we do hour appointments at a time. Right now it's shut down, but they're really good. I love the staff. They're very shortstaffed, but I really like everybody I met. It's a really pretty facility.

What a difference with the new management! It's totally different than before and I am extremely pleased now. The care and health protocols provided now give me comfort. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. I'm glad that I decided to keep my dad here. I would highly recommend this facility as my dad is very happy here and I'm even happier.

Back in March, I met with the Executive Director, nurse and other staff members. I was really impressed with them. I spoke with them again now during the pandemic. They just seem so dedicated to the safety of their residents. Also the fact that they are even able to answer the phone for people like me who are just asking questions about the facility. I found it amazing since they are so busy dealing with this crisis. 5 stars for sure

I was not impressed with Grace Manor at North Park. It was not a memory care facility, and the gentleman was trying hard to sell it as if my mother would be fine there. It's not fenced in, and I didn't care for it at all. Besides the safety issues, he tried to sell his facility by cutting down other facilities, and I didn't find that professional at all. The rooms were fine, but they didn't have carpets because of sanitation issues. My mother is a fall risk, and she would get hurt if she were to fall on these floors. The dining area had not been cleaned when I visited. There was still food on the floor, and we were there at 2:00. It was set up almost like a hotel. It had a long hallway with rooms going off on the sides upstairs and downstairs. It had kind of a cold feeling. I was not impressed with the owner who showed us around. He was pushy and I did not get the feeling that he was putting the residents first. It did not have a community feel to it, and it did not have safe areas for the residents to go outside (like enclosed areas where they would not be able to wander). It partly might be because it's just an assisted living facility, but the staff's attitude kind of threw me. It faces into a parking lot and it's on a busy road. They said you can take the residents on nature hikes behind the place, but it's so steep.

My mom moved into Grace Manor at North Park. It's very good and we're very satisfied so far. They have a lot of activities, the place is very clean, the food is good, and the people are very nice. They have singers come in, and they have games and crafts.

Grace Manor at North Park was very nice. My mom was on the rehab side with had a roommate in a double room. The staff was fine, and my mom didn't really have comments. The place was one of the better ones in the area. My mom said the food was very good.

Grace Manor at North Park was very nice. They had chefs who prepared the meals. The dining room was very lovely, and the whole place was very nice. The shared room was more affordable than a private room. The ideal thing would be to have a private room. The person who assisted us was the owner-administrator who was very knowledgeable and very caring. I think he and his wife started the facility because one of them had a parent in a nursing home care and I believe his wife is a psychologist who deals with the elderly. They had a very nice facility with a lot of care. They gave their staff incentives for answering the call back on time, so that keeps the staff on their toes. It seemed to be a very nice facility and is one of our favorites.

My grandmother is a resident at Grace Manor and I visit her often. She loves the facility, and we couldn't be happier with her treatment there. It is a wonderful location right in the heart of North Park. The facility is in a quiet, beautiful location and they provide many anemities. They have a theatre, game room, exercise room, arts and crafts room, and a beautiful huge porch to sit and watch nature. Complete housekeeping and meal services are also included. It is truly a wonderful facility.
