My Mom attends this Senior "Club" 2-3 times a week. They have activities, lunch, games, music, guests, exercises, etc. Twice a day for 20 minutes the seniors interact with the children in the day care. It's a great place for your elderly parent to get out during the day to socialize and stay engaged. I highly recommend this place for an elderly parent.

I've been using Gentog for my mom for a couple of months now. She has met lot of friends there. They do all kinds of activities every day like puzzles, sewing, arts and crafts. They get together with the kids from the children's day care in the same facility and read them books. They also play Legos with them. The staff has been great. I talked to them every once in a while and get updates on how she is doing. So far everything has been great.

Gentog is absolutely wonderful. The staff is warm, friendly and caring . . . EVERY DAY! After leaving my Dad each morning, I knew he was in a very good place. He loved the people and the activities. I can't say enough good things about Gentog!

I visited this facility while attending a caregivers support group funded by County Aging Services. I saw a very clean facility. The staff to elder ratio appeared to be high, though I didn't count bodies. The staff treat the elders with great respect and kindness, which I found refreshing. They have different activities for differing levels of involvement. They have a computer in one corner, there is a card table which is staffed to assist those playing cards, and there is an activities person who keeps the group active. The activity I witnessed was rolling a ball across the floor to another person. There were at least 2 staff that I could see who assisted in the game. This is also a cross-generational day care. There are 3 rooms; one of the rooms is a common room where the preschool and elders meet for activities such as reading, singing, storytelling, and fun. The preschoolers are on one side of the common room and the elders are on the other side when they are not doing "together" activities. The elder room seems a bit crowded with comfy couches and overstuffed chairs, but since the elders sit a lot, it makes sense. I am looking forward to having my Dad spend some time there.
