Our 65 year old son and brother was lovingly cared for during the several months that he was living at Prestige Reedwood. Facility was always clean and all of the staff that cared for the needs of the residents were great.

My mother is in Prestige Care and Rehabilitation of Reedwood. It's clean, nice, and the caretaker is real nice, and so is the nurse. There were more asian people there. The people are helpful. The room is OK. They had like two patients in one room.

From what I saw when we went in, Prestige Care of Reedwood was a clean facility, and it didn't have any smell. I had mother in one of these places, and some of them are really run down. But this one, the people were friendly, and when you walk in, it was clean, and there was no smell inside. They had a good area that she would have been in. There would have been two people in the room where she would have been, but she would have been alright with that.

This facility, which has ample parking for visitors, houses about 50 residents and serves all cultures, but most of the residents are Chinese. The caregivers and staff speak primarily Cantonese"”and there is Asian food featured daily and Asian art on display. Harbor Care Reedwood is a small facility, with only a dining room as a common area; there is a calm and serene feeling inside. Some residents have roommates, but most don't. The rooms feel institutional"”not very homey, more like a hospital. The food served is of good quality; and the kitchen staff helps those who have special requests, such as the need for pureed food. The nursing staff and CNAs are all very approachable about care, and also help with translation if needed. They take time to know the residents and are also forthcoming with family members and have rapport with them. Most of the residents have some form of dementia. One drawback is that there are limited activities offered to engage them, but overall, the care is good and the atmosphere feels nurturing.
