My parents are both staying at the Cascade Terrace Nursing Center right now, and my overall experience is good. The staff seems very friendly and responsive when I call. I'm not able to go into this facility, so I can't tell what it looks like on the inside, but based on the reports I get from them, they said they are being treated well. My dad, who is needing softer food, is being offered a mechanical soft diet, so they have options for people who are having difficulties eating. My parents are also both vegetarians, so they have vegetarian options. My mom says she actually was able to be put into a private room so that was nice, and she said there is some furniture in there. It's older furniture so the place isn't exactly brand new, but she said it's clean, and she has a TV, a chair, a table, and I think a dresser, too.

My father was there to recover from major surgery and the Nurses that cared for him were very kind along w6the med aides. That is the only good thing I can say within the first few days of my dad being their his wedding ring was stolen a d when it was reported a couple employees came to help look for it, but no other steps were taken to resolve the situation. Nothing more was said by the director and we had to restate that we wanted to be compensated for the loss of my dads ring. which they did do but I think if we had not pushed the situation they would not have done anything to fix it. Also this place ree6of urine and very bad sweet room deodorizer the moment you walk in. I realize they are short staffed but they also have a issue with people's personal property being stolen. I do not recommend this place

Avoid this pit at all cost! Placed my Mother-in-law in this facility after a heart operation, but had to remove her asap . Issues such as, missing floor tiles, ancient 19" tv that didn't work, a call button that didn't work, for dinner she was given 2 pieces of white bread w/ VERY LITTLE tuna & a small glass of milk one night & a piece of lettuce and a piece of white bread for another. When I took her to a Dr. appointment they gave me the wrong patient medical records. All this and a complete lack of attention.

Communication nonexistence. Food ALWAYS incorrect choice and is usually late and cold. They take your wrong choice toss it, then come back and say there is no more food. Staff is usually late with meds causing more pain longer than necessary. Staff is mostly rude and shift blame to patients making them feel worse. PT is nonexistent and Dr.s only there 3 to 4 days of the week and shift responsibly to social worker who has no dr experience to do perform the duties. Rooms are not kept up, occasionally the trash is removed. Activities happened once and it was a sliver of bunt cake.

My father is doing rehab at Cascade Terrace Nursing Center. Their facility looks older with old hospital beds, but the people in it make up for it. Everybody is working, and I'd give them a six or seven on a scale of five because they all love my dad, they are all caring, and they have somebody helping him eat. The food is good. We had a care conference today with nursing, physical therapy and social work. They have nurse practitioners and MDs on-staff that are always available. All the wonderful things that should be done were done. They have physical training and occupational therapy, and last night they had somebody stay with him all night in his room. They've gone above and beyond to try to get him working.

My mother is getting care now at Cascade Terrace Nursing Center. They have an open area and different daily activities in the advanced nursing setting. They can get in there with their wheelchairs and have exercise classes and entertainment. They happen either 10:00 or 11:00, and then they have another round of things that go on about 3:00 or 3:30, like watching a movie, exercises, playing some games, bingo, and that sort of thing. The biggest thing is having a nurse checking her legs all the time. The staff has been very thorough. Mom is adjusting as best as can be expected. I've been for the most part pretty happy with what's going on there, plus the food has been really good.

I am currently a resident undergoing rehab here. It is very clean, does not smell, the aids and doctor and nurses are super nice, the food is good (a little to healthy) The rehab is 70 min. twice a day. I have improved a lot and may actually get out soon. I highly recommend this facility.
